About this group

I know that the Silmarillion isn't as popular as Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit, but I really like it and I am interested in seeing who else has read it. This might not work, if not enough people enter it, but I'm going to try.
Okay, so this is how it's going to work. You make one scene, yes one, on an 8x8 baseplate. I thought about making this bigger, but I have seen some really cool stuff in other contests on just an 8x8 plate. Also, no stud overhang. If there is overhang, you will be disqualified. A leg, or a cape is fine, as long as there is no stud overhang. Next, I will need volunteers to judge. You have to have read the book, or at least have a basic knowledge of it to judge. I will probably do several contests, but the first one is going to start now and go till the end of April. Our final 4 judges for the first round are Michael Kringe, Bailey Joseph, Alex Cal and myself. They are moderators to show this. We will begin judging on May 8 and go till the 14, when I will announce the winners. Your creations must be in by the 7 of May.
