OK, if you really want to learn HTML, go to this site: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

It has free lessons and stuff. click on the try it yourself button, and you can experiment with all the stuff you want, not just the stuff as an example.

You can cut and paste the stuff, but take out the pat that says <body>and<html>. it took me a while to figure out, but the site is actually quite helpful.
