Your favorite V8 engines

Since this group is all about V8 engines, why not tell us about your favorite ones? My favorite is the Chevy small-block, but I'm also into the legendary "Hemi" from Chrysler.

My first car: V8 1986 Mercury Cougar. Nothing special, and she was way too heavy to win any races, but there was a classy simplicity about that car that I still miss to this day.

I love the sound of a ford 5.0 liter. my dad used to have a 1990 mustang with one in it.

Defiantly original Ford SOHC 427 "Cammer". That is most monstrous V8-engine I've ever seen produced in Detroit.

My own 289. But if i can get my hands on a ford 427 i'll go for that one. A 440 is one to talk about to.
