1-Private
2-Sargent
3-Captain
4-Colonel
5-Major
6-Lieutenant
7-Lieutenant General
8-General
9-Commando

Ok I understand about the rank, but if I pilot a sub I am considered a captain in that way.

You'd be captain of the ship but not technically have the rank of captain.

Thanks for the invite to the group, but I have too many other things going on to join a new group. By the way, why not just used the standard navy ranks? There is no Colonel in the navy, and a colonel is higher than a LT, Capt or Major. Just some thoughts.
