Well, for starters, what sort of historical stuff/time periods are you into?

I like all history between the beginning of time and 1700 AD. Basically before the New World was settled. I like the 1600's because I'm interested in the expolration of the New World. Also, guns became a big factor later on. Guns=boring history to me.

I just joined this group and I really like Roman stuff. What should I build?

Wow, there's just so many things you could build with a Roman theme: cities, armies, gladiatorial battles, historical dioramas...

For sources of inspiration, I'd suggest trying your local library for books on ancient Rome. The movie "Gladiator" and the PC game "Rome: Total War" are also great sources of inspiration for me.
