Brief, brief info- Some of the scattered Russian forces have combined to form the TICR.

Now for actual playing-

We have two other large forces right at our door steps, the IRA and the Greater Alenia. We are considring allying with them. We also are making a push downward, not much resistance is estimated. Maybe even an allience.

A small group of destroyers is now heading towards Iceland to push for a naval base in the east of the island and to assure that the IRA's takeover of the SS's former portion is peaceful. The aircraft carriers will remain there.

Not much change in the battle plans.

Some minor restructuring of some units to allow for more artillery, extra AD units, that's about it really.

As for the expansion: Novosibirsk and Novokuznetsk have fallen, albeit bloodily.
Still a little resistance.

On to Irkutsk!

The WHA has been formed. The WHA members consist of me, Kaiser Ham, and Weagle. The main cities are Portland, and Quebec City.

PCU forces have eliminated rebel forces in South Austin, after immense fighting there.

The PCU is allowing Bolivia to be evacuated of he IRA's forces, because we haven't gotten too mean.

The PCU frowns upon Megawarrior in his apparent inability to look at past forums when choosing lands.

The PCU also is not going to let Finn get to South America, as we have said it already that we do not want any foreign powers in the Western Hemisphere.

Progress in the invasion of Australia is going a with amazing results, we started at Mornington Island and took it within 45 minutes, and will split the forces to head South-West(Team Red) and East by South-East(Team Blue). Team Blue will head towards Brisbane and then head West, and team Red will head for Perth and then head East and meet with Team Blue at Tumby Bay. Afterwards they will go to the Countries Capital, Melbourne and then we should have it pretty much in the bag.

BS. You're bluffing. You can have it when it's stabilized. I'm taking POW's back to the mainland and work them into society. After all, we're both socialist nations.

News from the front(s): First occupational troops landed in Iceland today, the transports are expected to come in the evening. We are in the process of lining up the POW's and having them give up their weapons. In New York, only a single pocket of resistance blocks control of Lake Ontario. Fighting is to continue through the night. Group two is making it's way towards Syracuse, where troops are suspected to be amassing.

Also, Nick, why can't Detroit be a major city? Due to war productions it's booming.

This is your only warning. If you continue actions against the west, you will find strong and determined resistance by the SRGL. We will use the naval power granted to us by New England. Don't think that your victory in Scandinavia is what is to be expected in the Western hemisphere.

Also, voting for the union of said countries shall now take place tomorrow. Both the Iceland bombing and invasion of New York are admitted to partly boost confidence in New England, according to one general. Iceland shows how well the two nations can work together in combat, by using New England carriers and Great Lakes fighters.

The Nation of Saudi Arabia performed a strategic strike mission last night, with 44 F-15C Eagles
20 MiG-29 Fulcrums, 20 MiG-27s, armed with missiles for destroying bombers, 24 F/A-38 Jaegers, and 24 Su-51 Fafnirs flying over 30,000 feet above the ground to avoid AAA.

While the air fighters covered the air, ground fighters like the A-10 flew below 60 feet and destroyed nearly all of the AAA. Casualties on Areetsa's side were heavy. 6 jets were lost from Saudi Arabia.

Once again, I never received a battle plan from the team being attacked.

Saudi Arabia also has sent 20 A-10s, 30 Su-51s, and 25 F/A-38s to protect the ground fighters to Irkutsk. The Saudis are trying to stop Areetsa's advance at the heart it seems.

Also in the war news, Saudi Arabia has launched six ICBMs while we were sleeping last night, resulting in heavy casualties on the Russian capital. Saudi has delivered a message to the Russian Head of State, saying that their missile defenses are prepared, and all bombers will be shot down.

P-90's a PDW. Meant for tank crews, supply staff, that sort of thing. Not sure giving them to groundpounders would be a good idea.

Think of it this way: if you want AK-74s, you just have to visit some old Russian Federation armouries and borrow them, if you want G-36s, you need to buy them. Free, or expensive... Free, or expensive...

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

AKS-74U "krinkov" carbines for vehicle crews (think M4), folding wire stocked AK-74s for standard infantry.

Aand anything I can find just lying around for the penal units. You know, the ones who use the ancient second world war era triple-A that the Saudis blew up.

Polling for the union of the SRGL and New England is to end at 2000 EST. So far, no major riots have occured and the polling is going smoothly.

In New York, the last resistance along Lake Ontario has been neutralized. Our ships are free to go through it. The last two towns before Syracuse are almost under our control and the attack on the city shall commence tomorrow, as planned.

In Iceland, POW ships are heading back to Maine where the POW's shall stay. Most are still on the island. We have been conversing with some that either know German or English, our two main languages. Realizing the mutual threat of Iran, we are now making several Scandinavian divisions out of those who wish to pledge allegiance to the Chancellor.

It would take a lot longer to take Texas. By the time you got to Austin, everybody at bases like Fort Hood would mass up, together. Once again, in a foreign land people fighting with a cause tend to beat out technology, history has shown this in many instances.

@Gober: Fort Hood was reached two days ago, and most of the population was already killed or captured in the Battle of Austin. Only about 50 defenders remained, and they escaped on a C-5 that was stationed there. However, PCU GAF-1s quickly eliminated the fleeing civilians, after several attempts to ground them.

Also, the Second Fleet arrived off of Florida today. It consists of five Herndon Escort Carriers, three Nimitz-class Supercarriers, 30 Calahaw class destroyers, 10 Los Angeles class Submarines, and 30 Arleigh Burke class destroyers. This 78-craft fleet lies in wait for the Iranian fleet that has sprung up from nowhere.

Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk and most of Prokop'yevsk are completely secured. The local population seems quite jubilant, at least, if the reported number of fireworks displays and flag wavings are accurate.

Recruiting drives are in effect to take advantage of this wave of pro-Alenian sentiment among the really rather large population. Surrounding towns are already declaring allegiance to their new masters, and two other large cities have been marked for capture.

Incidentally, some rather potent AA missile systems have been hidden all through the region. The first Arab attack was something of a surprise. The next raid will be expected.

Anti-aircraft-artillery batteries are also all through the area. Should be a rather interesting engagement.

After a Senate vote, the PCU is not changing its name. The PCU has a certain ring to it, and makes us happy.

I didn't think Megawarrior was ever officially in the group, foo.

You don't "modernize" alien tech.

You "retrofit" your existing technology to use it.

With the absorbtion of the New England military and these new laws(Plus Scandinavians being retrained) the whole armed forces could very well be bumped to 3.5 million. It's been nearly a week since the invasion of the rest of what used to be called the United States of America. The invasion goes well, with PCU suffering a tenth of the causalities they are inflicting on the enemy.

In Texas, Gainesville has fallen. HAT-1s and LRT-1s now are rolling towards the bridge. Troops that were dropped in Oklahoma a few days back (it's real) are assaulting the bridge from the opposite direction.

In Florida, fleets are generally confused, as battle groups are trying to re-form. The PCU Defense Force Fleet is currently still waiting off of Florida. The PCU Invasion Fleet has passed Cuba, with a ground invasion to start on May 2. Ground bombings are still operational.

In Brazil, the President/Prime Minister have agreed to join PCU. The Brazilian military is going to mobilize troops to the northern borders, bringing PCU troops along the way, to prevent Megawarrior's escape.

Back in the Homeland, a bomber and attack helicopter are starting to be created.

Perhaps he embarked on a campaign of education and culture-change? I don't know, perhaps the Brazilian military isn't on par with it's developing-ness. South American nations have never really had strong armies, not since the Colonial days, and even then, they were second to ones in Europe, Asia, and North America.

A message of great importance just came into my office-

Like in 2035 in the old group, Chile has requested to join the Imperial Federation of Prusso-Egypt. They are really big fans of Germany, as lots of evidence shows, and they are becoming quite fearful of PCU expansion.

Voting on whether to grant this request or not will proceed over the weekend while I am gone in Indiana for a WWII reenactment.

At this point whether granting the request would result in war with the PCU or not is not of our concern. We've already had about enough with them, and the specific statement that they don't adhere to rules is almost an act of war itself. While the voting is taking place, German and Egyptian troops are being mobilized for action, and the defense level has been raised to red-orange with a hint of purple.

In other news- the Prussian Army has completed its latest project in infantry technology- carbon fibers are now being woven into every standard issue Waffenrock(imperial German uniform) for the greatest yet seen strength and protection in any other combat uniform OR body armor- while retaining nearly the exact same weight. It would appear that you forgot that technological research also takes time, and by what you're making, you must have thousands of top notch scientists at your disposal. All these projects.

Also, I would like to present my two long-term projects. Codename Thor's Hammer and Codename Hades' Inferno show progress, however, the former needs a suitable test area. That will be most difficult.

It seems all would just like to see how powerful the PCU military can be. However, you will not get your wish.

Cliffe, you are about as bad as Finn. We haven't done anything to you, yet you seem to have been >=O at us for some time now. Plus, you invade our lands. Tsk, tsk.

WAR UPDATE:

PCU fighter jets have secured a beachhead for the time being, and the troop landing will take place tonight.

what????

Anywho, troopers are slowly making an advance into Xinjain.

Yea, but if your nation is only a week or two old, then it's a bit strange that you can build an operational shuttle and make a good research team, in less than a week. I'm just saying.

Yeah, right, sure. You would have to post the trade/lend in the forum.

And Nick, would you like the details of my projects via Flickr mail?

UPDATES: At noon today, the Chancellor and other high ranking officials traveled to Boston for the union of the countries. It was a glorious procession, despite fears of an air raid. For the last time, the flag at the capitol building was taken down, and the SRGL flag hoisted up. More details later.

Yes, well, I don't know about John, but Alenia is technologically actually relatively weak.

Certainly not strong enough to go around lending scientists, and most definitely not in possession of any spacecraft more advanced than a late model Soyuz.

Believe me, if we were, you'd all be being held ransom by orbital kinetic weapons by now.

Given that said kinetic weapons would probably be a remote control thruster pack tied to a couple tons of miscellanious debris, it wouldn't be a very advanced orbital kinetic weapon system, but I imagine being very large and very heavy and moving very very fast it'd do the job.

Someone go find me a bulk supplier of lead ingots, pronto. I have an idea.

Sure can do. And you do know that he's not going to be back until tomorrow, right?

Meanwhile, we are having some difficulty in our campaign. The north group has set out into the Adirondack mountains to eliminate any New York soldiers hiding out there. Due to the terrain and uncertainty of how many are hiding there, we have no estimate of the length of this battle. The southern group is now pushing towards Albany, after taking Utica yesterday. The new eastern group, based in Lebanon, New Hampshire, has rushed over the border into Vermont. The plan is to meet up with the northern group at Lake Champlain and then move to help the southern group and the group bombarding NYC.

Sorry I vanished off the face of the internet. I was working on a school project which involved trespassing on a private college, 12 hours of writing, 20 hours of filming, doing yard work, washing dishes, laughing a lot, yelling at computers, yelling at cars, and listening to Mozart on a surround-sound speaker system. It was intense.

The PCU has sent this message to Prussio-Egypt.

Dear Cliffe, thank you for accepting this letter rather than shredding it. This past week has been rather fun and exciting. However, you see fit to end it by declaring war on The PCU. We do not see this to be rather nice of the nation who promised that he would make "a group where everyone can have fun". Is this what you call fun? The PCU isn't going to give you Chile, merely because its not yours. We have the WHA to back us up on these claims, and Ham is not. Iran may help us, and he's much, much closer to home. But here's the bottom-line. I don't want to go to war with you, and I don't need to. But, if you think that the PCU needs to fight, then we'll gladly sound the call to arms, and end this the hard way. It's your choice, and I hope you make the right one.

Pretty strong words, eh?

I mean what I say Cliffe. I've been nice to you since about December. When all of the other nations declared war on you, I saved your civilians, scientists, and history. If this is how you treat guests...than the Prussio-Egyptians aren't very great in my honest opinion.

Like I said on Flickr...

I just can't see how it is ANY fair that no one can pick a starting territory in all of the Americas just because you want all of the land for yourself. This is a group where we make it so that others have fun; that doesn't mean this is a group where you can do anything you want to have fun. We have restrictions here. Harsh restrictions. That's why I warn every new member before they come into the group. I guess I didn't warn you well enough.

I'm sorry I have to do this to you, you have been a great friend indeed.

Hmm, troubling times these are indeed. I hope you can see the error of this in the coming days.

As of 7:18 Central Time Zone, the PCU declares war on Iran.

In Megawarrior 21's country, the opposition has been eliminated. Now, our fleet of over 50 ships and nearly a million troops can aid in the defense. As of today, the conquest of America has been postponed, with 1.5 million being taken out of the conquest. 2.5 million will protect PCU against stronger odds.

Glad to see you're willing to cooperate now, lad! :D

Although I don't know about Brazil. Why Brazil? What use does it have for you? I think it's the perfect starting territory for some promising new member out there. I may yet say nay on that. However, you may keep a maximum of Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru. At least they're on the Pacific coast. I also want you to stay away from Mexico for now. Only for now. If you ever change the name from PCU to something more encompassing, I might let you get it, and I won't sponsor anyone who wants to push you out of the continental U.S., although probably no one will.

Sweden has been fully annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia within the German Empire. By the request of the inhabitants, it has been renamed Nordpreussen, or North Prussia. Many tons of inhabitants have begun speaking German rather than Swedish, and this has begun to worry the bureaucracy. Voting will begin, with the inclusion of (for the first time) the popular vote of the Swedish people, on whether ALL of Sweden should be North Prussia or whether only a bit of the south, with the north remaining to be known as Sweden, or some other arrangement. This is predicted to be the most difficult civil decision ever made so far in the entire Imperial Federation. So far, the majority of the Swedes are looking to a mixing of the Prussian and Swedish cultures. A homogeneous mixture, not a mixture like Prussia and Egypt.

The annexation of Norway into the German Empire has gone fairly much without any problems or significant happenings, besides a few slight sentiments stemming from when the Third Reich annexed Norway. The Norwegians appear to be very happy to be united with the other great Nordic peoples. After all, the Norwegians, as their name suggests, may be the most Nordic of all Nordic peoples.

Now the Kaiser is looking into reuniting Switzerland with the rest of Germany. Switzerland could prove a wonderful asset, seeing how it is in the south yet it is not nearly as unwieldy as the Swabian states of southern Germany or Austria. In fact, the Swiss are almost Prussian-like. They should be a massive help in making sure the southern German states stay in their place and behave according to Prussia, the leading state of the Reich. The addition of Switzerland may even allow the annexation of Austria, however this is VERY unlikely seeing just how unwieldy Austria is and Prussia's experience with them in the past.

The Chancellor has send several diplomats to ask that if possible, families of the former Scandinavian POW's/defections to the SRGL may come to live in the SRGL. POW families would live in Maine at the several sites being made, while those of the ones now serving our army live in areas not yet designated.

Meanwhile, Albany has fallen, and we are heavily bombing Long Island and NYC. In order to end the bloodshed, we are constantly dropping pamphlets calling for a surrender. According to intelligence, massive revolts have taken place against the Emperor, and food riots are increasing.

PCU made substantial progress today in Texas. The bridge has been taken, but we lost the bridge. After hours of fighting barricaded troops, we just bombed the thing. Then our engineers placed a PCU Porta-Bridge (building when I have time) over the gap, and we moved across. The army stopped at Marietta, where more fierce battles await.
