The Chancellor has send several diplomats to ask that if possible, families of the former Scandinavian POW's/defections to the SRGL may come to live in the SRGL. POW families would live in Maine at the several sites being made, while those of the ones now serving our army live in areas not yet designated.

Of course.

I think you fail to realize how many troops are actually in N. Korea, Brendan. The 38th Parallel is the most militirized zone in the world, with about 2 million troops. If you pursue your conquest to the north, your troops will have to rush across two miles loaded with highly explosive mines and under heavy fire. And they won't just join you. Korea was ruled by Japan once, and it was brutal. I don't think they'll like for it again. I'll let the south slip, but in the north, you'd better prepare for prolonged fighting. And by the way, no one owns the north.

It's WAY too unrealistic for IRAN to take a part of SCANDINAVIA. What in the world do you think you're going to do with it, anyway? Build a few mosques there? It's way to far away, and WAY too different in general.

Plus, how did those troops get there anyway? Where did your planes stop to refuel? How long did it take them? Unfortunately, I wasn't there to moderate the whole thing...

You two are both menaces when in the same group. It's amazing your relationship is only a like-hate thing (I don't think you feel love towards many things, Will), instead of an all out clash of everything you have.

Meanwhile, following the American policy of destroy and rebuild, we've begun replacing lost infrastructure and systems in Macedonia. Our troops are re-grouping. This also has coincided with the finishing of my English movie, I only have two days of uber-busy left.

GAF-1 air strikes throughout the day have enabled the strong PCU army to push past the town of Ardmore and into Sulphur. Some "resistant folks" with shotguns have taken to hiding in the bush, and that has cost us some casualties. Fortunately, the leader of the Invasion Force, Colonel Hatley, knows the backwoods very well, as he is from Ardmore, and knows many of the hiding places.

PCU has announced the regional capitals for the entire state. Ardmore shall be the regional capital for the Southern States, Honolulu will be the regional capital for the South American states, and Portland will be the regional capital for the Central states. Portland, duh, is also the state capital.

The PCU has commissioned a diorama to be made to resemble the most horrific battles of the Peruvian War. It shows the Pacific Union troops valiantly holding their own against a Peruvian surprise attack.

In Portland, a new bomber and helicopter are still being commissioned, but are being placed to the back burner due to our workers going to the Annual Workers Proficiency Test. It is a way to measure what workers should be selected to move up in the Pacific Union Pay-grade. The Governator is very pleased with his citizens way of doing things, and expects high scores. I mean, they paid their taxes on time.

With some local rebel's help, the UMN are able to trash most of the defending forces with ease thanks to the info from the rebels that agreed to help for our cause. Our forces from task force B are also advancing to inner land without any heavy resistances.Enemy planes are also no where to be seen thanks to UMN air dominance over the Indonesian skies. At this rate, we will be able to secure our main target in a week. To ease tensions that are sure to come about due to nuclear testing by PCU, I will now issue a statement.

Today, the PCU launched four nuclear missiles at varying trajectories to test blast radius. This is NOT in preparation of a preemptive strike on another nation, but a simple test to see how a missile would destroy certain things in a certain area when launched from a certain trajectory. This was a test by the PCU Missile Defense Agency to see how the missile would destroy things in a blast radius. NOT A PREEMPTIVE STRIKE.

There are some serious disadvantages involved in making research open-source.

Since we (Greater Alenia, possibly the rest of the B.E.A.R. alliance) have heaps of old nukes we're not allowed to use, we figure we may as well revive the old Project Orion spacecraft. It'll take time, lots of time, but most of the work is already done for us. What we'll do with our shiny "new" nuke powered rocket ship once we've made it is up in the air. Guess it'll depend on the political climate at the time.

Also: we totally promise not to drop radioactive exhaust on anybody.

My big post before epic Boston trip tomorrow:

VICTORY! Our glorious legions have defeated the evil Empire of New York! The people were smart enough to give up at New York City, and to overthrow an out of touch Emperor, who let his country starve. Convoys carrying food are now reaching the city. It turns out they were ill-prepared for our unbreakable blockade. We now turn to New Jersey, where the Emperor fled with several generals and loyalists. The fool does not realize he is surrounded!

Off the coast of Iceland, a weapons development program codenamed "Hades Inferno" has had it's first field test. A fighter jet armed with the final product launched two of the new weapon, with scientific and Navy ships surrounding the test area. Reports say that it was most successful, and a sight is being chosen for land testing.

Progress on Germany's latest half-track is going very well. It's planned to be an amphibious IFV, the ultimate troop transport. Work may be near completion this weekend.

Work has also started on our first ekranoplan. This is from an Egyptian corporation, and the vehicle is planned to be used as a super-duper transport and patrol craft of death on the Nile, as well as an ultra-fast overseas troop transport and elite amphibious landing vehicle.

This is only our first planned ekranoplan. It will be of the traditional, Caspian Sea Monster-type. Another, hypothetical one yet of very high consideration is planned to be the ultimate all-terrain vehicle, with a hovercraft skirt for sea and land travel and the ability to achieve full flight (like a normal plane). It will most likely be used as a sort of ultra-special forces transport.

No work has yet started on the planned Sumerian War Chariot yet, however, but that may also start soon. A Sumerian tank and IFV are also planned, unfortunately with the use of those horrendous tan chassis.

I planned on waiting for the next ICF to make my appearance, but I'm an impatient American.

Anyhow, on the supporting note:
-Mechs are plausible. The US actually plans on implementing a exosuit for the Marine Corps called "HULC". It nearly triples a soldier's carrying capacity upon flat terrain and doubles the capacity upon rocky terrain; exactly what the Marines want. The only issue is power supply, but I'm sure with microtechnologies increasing, something within a limited scale would be acceptable during this time frame.

On a note of detest or clarification:
-Nukes are no longer weapons. They are instead political tools to say "I have them, and you don't. Give me what I want." However, granted there's already a taboo within this group, I highly doubt that counts for much if at all.

-15 years in the air is a no-no. Unpredictable weather, lack of a sustainable fuel, and everything of the like just breaks a conceptual time frame of that sort. The main goal would be to keep it in the air for maybe, just maybe, a slim of 72 hours. This would mean maintenance schedules would be routine and fuel checks are more regular. A great reduction of variable damage and anxiety.

-Also, just a note on military size, a large personnel number doesn't mean a superior force. Quality equipment and force multipliers (i.e. SOFs) can win wars quickly with a minimum number of casualties. Experience and morale will win the hearts and minds of your civil populace and open up doors with the lands you occupy during invasion/defense.

Anyhow, there's my immediate two cents, even if it doesn't count for much.

The key thing is scale. Three story mechs with railguns, flamethrowers, cruise missiles, and everything of the like would make for some very inefficient machines. Crushing roads under their feet because of their weight would mean conventional ground forces couldn't travel in succession behind them. The best role would be mechanized scout missions, open-area fire support, or just a political tool like the hosting of nukes. I'm not going to argue this too much until I seem some tangible demonstrations of thought. In other words, I await to see your final product in hopes of better judgement.

So far its pretty small and squat, like a frog, and it stands just as tall as its legs: about 5-6 bricks tall. Its very roundish and fat and stout but looks pretty cool. Features some machine guns and a hardpoint for an AT missile or sensor package (thinking scout missions)

Overall, a pretty small recon walker. It probably won't be crushing much, but hey, it looks good. (despite being fat and stout)

No, it's possible, and that worries me.

Project Orion was a spacecraft that operated by blowing up nuclear explosives behind itself for power. Very efficient, very mobile.

Ever heard of Project Pluto?

'Twas a dirty (literally) nuke powered cruise missile. Hypersonic, supposed to cruise at treetop height and drop little hydrogen bombs behind itself. Everywhere it went, it would have left fallout.

Never finished, thank heavens.

Yep, because anything is possible when you have the most experienced leader in the world (the group) leading one of the most powerful nations ever.

Most experienced, but also the best at holding grudges! Finn, you may be Will's new Cliffe.

No news again from the Roman Empire. Our Emperor has been busy with stuff. I myself have been also very busy. Always something new coming up...

China has the largest military in the world. Finn has the smallest and weakest military in the world. It would take a looong time to take that much land, let alone even make enough progress. His military is probably destroyed because of so many casualties he's taken.

I never said I thought he was RIGHT, I'm just sayin', the way regional unification pacts work sorta demand a sort of "all for one and one for all" mentality.

Secondary statement: does anyone have any spare hydrogen bombs I can borrow? I mean, I've got heaps of 'em already, being Russian and all, but you can never have too many when you're fixin' to launch spaceships that run on nuclear explosions.

Map of the Americas is up. That's right, Louisiana and Mississippi are International Lands. Trade ships from all over the world may stop there and regional shops can be built there. However, strict PCU patrols will guard the lands, as we don't need those Euros in America anyway. WE RETAIN THE RIGHT TO MAKE IT PCU LAND.

Mississippi is a land claimed by FTSA long before you came in and said: "Ooh, shiny, I want!"

FTSA would like to leave the WHA because of tensions caused by the PCU. We are just a bit away from declaring war. Back off of Louisiana and Mississippi or war will begin. And also remove your ships from FTSA-controlled waters. This is also now viewed as a hostile act.

FTSA is now also claiming Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. Peaceful absorption has begun with acceptance by the people, with little rebellion against this decision.

Also, the invasion of the PCU states on the East Coast will not stand. I am willing to give you Mississippi, as it is not really valuable to me, but there is now way Louisiana will fall. Also, I'm going to be gone from somewhere around May 24th through June 10th. In that period of time I probably will not touch a computer, so please don't expect much from me.

By the way, somewhere up there I have talks going on with the UAE and Qatar. Qatar has officially joined the UAC, but the United Arab Emirates are not willing to peacefully join. If they do not change their minds, they will be invaded.

Russian planes have officially entered UAC service, painted in Saudi Airforce colors. (AKA camo, which rocks.)

In the spirit of Roman imperialism, the Emperor personally sent a letter to the president of Montenegro, asking him if he'd like to avoid a curbstomb war and be annexed by the Empire. This move was generally seen as a bad move, but the Emperor waved papers and it was done. The tiny army of the nation in question would be dealt with easily, but we have a bigger target in our sights.

While we let Montenegro contemplate subjugation or annexation, another ultimatum was delivered to Albania. They represent a target on the same strength of Macedonia, but probably stronger now that they see our expansion in the Balkans. Time will tell what happens...

In Mexico, the president has agreed to join the PCU. However, the military largely has rebelled against the president and are staging a coup. PCU troop count is too low here to help, so the air campaign will be doubled. MQ-1 Reaper strikes will now be stepped up to hunt down the rebellion.

That's now a subjective statement of periphery.

It seems land is land no matter which way you look at it, and if someone has the means to claim the territory, at least in any theme similar to this, they will use it. Geopolitical means are a false application in a game where the world is dominated by a pseudo-council of less than thirty members that have to speak for some billions of people. There's a difference between the main church (Church of Latter-Day Saints) that's banned it and the break-offs (Fundementalist Church of Latter-Day Saints) that still practice polygamy. I did my homework on this one. But let's not dwell on mormans, back to the world at hand...

As of May 16th 2036 the Persian-Islamic Empire has disbanded, all military, resources and land will be handed over to Jack Ford in hopes of a military engineering/advisor position in his government. We see that several of these leaders cannot handle the amount of thought you need to put into running a nation and will be getting back to other matters that need to be dealt with, errm the real RA-CAS-UEN...

The UAC graciously accepts this action. You will be allowed to fill the requested office of military engineer/advisor/military tactition. If any more is desired, please ask. If possible, could you send me data concerning the numbers of the military forces? This would be greatly appreciated. I plan on very little military action for a few months to give time to train the new additon to the UAC military forces, and re-vamp the systems to allow efficient communication among UAC forces.

In case the recent turn of events has deeply offended anyone to the point of assaulting the UAC, UAC defense systems have been set on red-alert. Also, air patrols have been doubled. More SAMs have been stationed along the borders.

The UAE has officially joined the UAC, after a brief "display of power," a brief daylight bombing run by A-10s, Panavia Tornadoes and Tu-225s, with air cover from UAC fighter planes. Resistance fighters will keep UAC infantry occupied for a while.

The PCU-backed Mexican Republic has gained the upper hand today in Mexico City. Citizens were evacuated as the PCU started to carpet bomb areas of the city with the enemy in it. Laser guided bombs were used so we didn't fire a stray one right on the darn civs.

The PCU has secured the federal district of Mexico City, but the residential and business districts are still part of a raging battle.

In Missouri and Kansas, the state rebels are cowering as they are overrun by the blitzkrieg-like attacks utilized by the PCU.

Dr. S and friends pretended to back Cliffe up in a war, but when it started, they all turned on him and dismantled his nation in a matter of days. Cliffe, tired of being constantly betrayed and attacked for no reason other than land lust, left the group and started this one up. A few people followed, though we're all still in the old one, which seems to be quiet as of late.

Doesn't sound like a very nice thing to do.

Me, that's why I'm looking into alternative solutions.

If everyone's afraid to start a war, nobody will. At least, that's the theory.

I must say, the prospect of invading someone who's willing to boobytrap their own country with nuclear explosives would certainly frighten ME.

I'm a greatly insensitive person. There's only so much land on this one planet and I like the better share. Plus, I just like the anxiety of two powerhouses clashing teeth. Sorry, Cliffe.

Also, just to the general audience, I apologize for my lack of moderating or showing tangible evidence of my being here lately. Momma went into surgery and so it's been a tad hectic. Cliffe wanted me to join to relieve some pressure off of him and I feel I've been doing a poor job. My apologies.

The Roman Empire will officialy protest the burning of the rainforest. Not because we're tree huggers, but because we adknowledge that if we irrevocably damage the ecosystem, it goes forever. And when that goes away, Humanity dies with it. So be careful where you put that napalm.

WHEN did this fleet of yours embark for America? How come I never heard of it? WHY are you taking over parts of South America for NO REASON? And most importantly, WHY IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH DO YOU THINK YOU CAN LIGHT UP THE FRIKKIN RAINFOREST!?!?!?
