As a heads-up, the ADCC will be lifting the blockade around the Gibraltar Strait within 48 hours. However, strict passing rules [for military vessels] will be put in its place granted Spain, Britain, and Morocco don't want shells slapping them in the face. More or less: all traversing [military] vessels must be and will be escorted; a small fine will be in place for reimbursing homeland fuel costs needed for the escorts (not much, but I'm not going to pay for a war I'm not involved in either); and there will be constant security flights. With the final invasion and destruction of Kenyan resistance in Nairobi, Oceania draws to a close its African campaign, just in time to fix things up while wars tear up other parts of the country.
We gratefully thank Finland for their support in our operation, and we will now cede that corner of land granted to you, over to your control. You will also be given permission to use a large, joint air-base in the south of Kenya (large air base used by Oceanian Air Force, Finnish Air Force, and French as well, as per a previous agreement), and also port facilities along the Kenyan coast will be open to you as well.
Speaking of Africa, voting in Djibouti on whether to join the Union or not was concluded today, and rather quickened by the outbreak of such a large war nearby. The poll is a resounding "yes", and integration of Djibouti will begin today.
Kenya, Tanzania, and Somalia will remain under military control for a time until we have quelled all rebellious resistance, and are able to set up home governments for each of the former countries, in order to bring them fully into statehood of UNO.
note: Battle of Nairobi diorama MOC will be up later, hopefully today. Permalink | September 9, 2010, 5:15 pm |

Until I make the Cape, that would mean overflying hostile/neutral territory, so it will still be a couple days. However, I will take you up on that offer at that time (if my pilots can handle a dry runway). Huh, sort of like the American Army's pilots in Operation Torch. Personal relations aside; the war must go on...
India has finished the modifications to the freighters and the soldiers have embarked. The fleet, with the last minute addition of a third carrier, made its way into the Arabian Sea from Bombay. There, two carriers, the troop ships and freighters, one battleship, two cruisers, and two destroyers broke off and headed south; making the Cape of Good Hope by nightfall. The northern arm, the remaining fleet ships, made the Gulf of Aden before stopping for the night in international waters. At this point, no declaration of war has been made, so the fleet is not a belligerent and an attack against them would be...unadvised.
For clarification:
Southern arm--2 carriers, 1 battleship, 2 cruisers, 2 destroyers. In addition to ten civilian freighters.
Northern arm--1 carrier, 1 battleship, 6 cruisers, 8 destroyers, 1 sub. No freighters.
India accepts gladly the offer of friendly airfields in allied lands and asks for specific names of the proposed bases. A declaration of war is expected tomorrow.
However, India calls on Prusso-Egypt to stand by and stand down on all military actions, acquiesce to African Co-inhabitant's requests, and avoid a war which will only serve its hurt. You have 24 hours to respond.

Currently, the only offensive action being taken by Egyptian armed forces is the gaining and maintaining of air superiority over the USCA. All other action is purely defensive.
If you wish for us to halt our offensive air operations, we will do so, however we will intercept and eliminate any and all African military aircraft attempting to traverse into Egypt or Osean Libya.

More news on what is being styled around the world as "WWIII". Oh silly politicians.
Anyway, the Pacifician armed forces are on the move. Four HAT-1 divisions, backed up by a small force of three thousand reservists. This spearhead is currently on the way to Juneau, although as of now they still have not arrived. The few defenders in the area (I expect, Weagle hasn't sent me jack) have about three hours to prepare somewhat of a defense, although how much it will matter, I know not.
Florida is also sending a group of units to Roman Guinea, including 3000 men, 10 helicopters, and 40 F/A-38 aircraft, however, they are still a good ways away.
Siberia is sending three cruisers and an aircraft carrier to launch support attacks on the Alaskan coast. These units will be supporting the Siberian and Mongolian troops already fighting in and around Seward.
However, at least in the air, the Oseans are putting up as much resistance as they can. It seems with the complete breakdown of the Osean military command structure, the pilots on the west coast are taking matters into their own hands. Osean advanced F-22 fighters, although small in numbers, are doing recognizable damage to ground units, and when they engage Pacifician aircraft later, it will sure to be a spectacular sight.
Also, in the Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea, shadowy forces are at work. A number of Pacifician ships have had encounters with what they believe are U-boats of the Prusso-Egyptian Pacific wolfpack. A number of PCU naval vessels have been crippled, although none have been registered destroyed as of yet. One of the PCU mega-carriers have been hit, although not destroyed. The damage has however taken out the ships' entire staring system, so it will require I'd say three days of maintenance. Anyway, I have no idea what naval resources Nick has in the region, so chop chop Nick, let me know. So far, the Egyptian u-boats have proved very adept at evading detection, but it's only a matter of time before a slip-up is had. Also, cruise missiles of unknown origin have been impacting on the ports of Bombay all day today, causing a good amount of damage. At least one berth has been put out of action, curtailing the Indian Navy's ability to repair shipping.
In Africa, the Egyptians are also very busy. However, the clever defensive techniques put in place by the Africans have almost totally negated the Egyptians overwhelming air-power. Sortees of Egyptian Hyperfalcons and gunships have attempted to breach the tough African defensive line. Hardened positions in most major towns in Chad have provided very much a nuisance to the Egyptian aircraft. The Egyptian missions sent out to attain air superiority over the Chad-Libyan border have succeeded, but are being harassed by constant AAA and missile strikes from hardened positions in the town. So far, the improvised, but quite effective African defenses have allowed three confirmed kills on Egyptian gunships. However, many of the smaller outposts closer to the border have been eliminated, with the northern most USCA stronghold in the town of Bardai. Due to the African's tactics, unless the Egyptians launch an armored assault into USCA territory, major ground battles will be few and far between, if they happen at all.
The IRA Navy has set out from Senegal, heading towards the SRGL. A plan of blockade is to be introduced, backed up by helicoptors launched from the ships, and two squadrons of MiG-31's from Cape Verde, although range will be a major issue here.
So far, the conflict looks like it's heating up, but since Weagle, and a few others didn't send orders, it's a tad confusing. Have fun kiddos. Permalink | September 10, 2010, 7:14 pm |

I only said they CAN pull of any kind of maneuver in any direction- never did I say it could do that at any speed, or that pilots ever need to execute such extreme maneuvers, let alone execute them at all. When in combat, however, they quite often do pull off some amazing fancy tricks and maneuvers, though, which gives them there razor-sharp deadly edge in combat- but they never pull off anything they or their aircraft can't handle. In fact, they aren't permitted to, and many even can't if they tried. They are specifically taught exactly what not to do as part of their training. Permalink | September 10, 2010, 7:19 pm |

France will be sending three squadrons of MCAPs and two squadrons of upgraded Rafales to Sao Tome in an effort to run sorties in friendly air space and protect dense population centers and key industrial networks. Temporary rough-neck landing strips have been placed on the island and should be able to serve their limited use quite well. Again, this isn't a polarizing move so much as it is to protect capitalist interests in IIS-involved African states.
On note of Rafales, a squadron of technological testbeds are underway in the shop, so to speak. These planes will be used for future munitions, avionic electronics, and powerplant evaluation. Another four squadrons are being pulled from the boneyard to have their shells polished and fitted with newer systems; they'll serve as a pseudo-Coalition Air Guard until a new airframe has been established.
On a final note of aviation, the first ALDS is being finished up for test runs. These runs will last a week's time, if not more, and will note what tuning needs done to the program and its components. Once everything is situated, this plane [along with its protective squadron] will be flown to the Joint Aerospace Station mentioned by Oceania.
Now, moving on to more hearty politics, Atlantic Operations Command will be handing over the Moldovan front to Bohemian command. This will reduce the strain on the homeland ministries granted a war is happening quite close to ADCC states and it will also reinstate that this is Bohemia's fight.
On note of the Nat. Rep. of Maur., the first European troops have been mobilized into the capital to serve as primary armed guard over the vital area; these will most likely be the only armed Europeans in the nation. Aside from that, the Islamic Rep. has been contacted and diplomats will be sent to meet them halfway in an undisclosed area. These talks are meant to peaceful and assure mutual existence. As a resolution to the blockade, I would like to hold my protest in favor of Ham but keep the worries of the IRA in the run. Although I understand the political ratings between the IRA and his African ally/allies, I'm in fear of losing the [minute] IC in Ham's territory. If bound by word and patrol, would it be possible for the SRGL and IRA to come to a resolute in which the SRGL does not pass south of Principe nor north of Cape Verde? India formally declares war on Prusso-Egypt, with the battle cry of "Remember Bombay." Whether or not Prusso-Egypt is responsible or not is yet to be determined, but nevertheless she is being attacked as we speak. The southern arm of my fleet has launched fighters and will be landing in Avalella's territory after attacks against the Kaiser's land. The northern arm has taken position and launched a devastating combined arms assault on strategic targets.
Where before a state of policing and preparedness existed, India is now fully and totally at war. The remains of the fleet are sticking close to the coast to defend the homeland until India's enemies are known.
Cleanup has begun at Bombay. A couple missiles weren't as accurate as they should have been and struck some civilian areas. Dozens are killed and wounded, and buildings are still collapsing. Damage to the port's works were not as severe as they could have been, thankfully, and repairs are being effected as we speak.
A warning to India's enemies, it would behoove you to come forth quickly and be known, else your treachery come against you with interest most grievous. Permalink | September 10, 2010, 11:49 pm |

I should have known. I find it rather petty of him. Very well, India approves of your compliance, and appreciates your identification of the true attacker while there is still time to reverse orders and avoid collateral damage. The attacks have not yet stepped-off, and pilots are standing down along with the fleet. Oceania will not be asked to allow overflights, since it has declared its neutrality. Plans for the invasion of African holdings of Ham's nation are being drawn up. No mercy and no quarter will be given except to the civilians.

However, this may be an elaborate ploy by Cliffe and Ham to get Nick to declare war and thus bring the fight to the aggressing PCU...
But for now, time to sit back and watch the chaos unfold. Any attack taking place in or on Roman soil, waters, or airspace will be considered an act of war and appropriate responses will be taken.
Having said that, the Roman Empire warns Prusso-Egypt-Mesopotamia-Axum-Texas that if their defensive action turns into a Nick-style land grab, you may have another front to worry about. India is pleased (aren't we always?) to announce the development of the B-1 strategic bomber. Only three have been completed thanks to their exorbitant cost. Production will be slow, but this is an awesome weapon.
Thanks to Prusso-Egypt's compliance (India apologizes for it's gruffness; but, carry a big stick, you know) India can now turn the unrelenting attention of its full and awesome wrath against its true attacker. Filled with just rage from an unprovoked attack, no quarter will be given to the SRGL in Africa. India will not be alone in this endeavor, but will be aided by allies from times past in this war. This test, assuming all goes well, will occur at 12:00pm (noon) MST on September the 15th. We will continue to give notice in this thread and advise all nations not to be alarmed as these shells will be fired in a trajectory in as harmless a manner as possible. Also, the USCA is selling 2.5 million M1 fuel cells to Nigeria for government use, and 1.5 for civilian use.
Hope that helps. For purposes of international well-being, I will not be pursuing military actions against Prusso-Egypt, but rather against the SRGL. As a result, the air attacks will be lifted. With the PCU moving out, Oceania will make plans to annex PCU's former territories in Indochina and Palawania.
Alright, OAsD forces in Thailand will begin moving over the border into former Loas and Cambodia, to be supplemented when more equipment arrives.
Forces already on station in Papua New Guinea will move into the former Palwanian portion of the rest of the island.
The Navy will cruise around the Palawanian islands and Vietnam. and put down any resistance where possible.
We will move in and take over while the PCU is shipping out so that a transition of power is easy. We wil not interfere with the PCU, but we will try to secure what land will be ours before any other forms of government spring up to oppose us.
All of this will occur as soon as the PCU has left, that way we shall be sure to not interfere. Permalink | September 11, 2010, 6:14 pm |

HOORAY FOR CLIFFE BEING A BACKSTABBING HYPOCRITE!!!!
I wouldn't be too hard on him, he did hold out until I put the gun to his head.
However, I must say, before I destroy you, I am puzzled as to why you decided to attack me? I was just riding you about your resistance to Mocpages, nothing to go to war over.
Oh, believe me, two can play that game. You remember 'Shock-and-Awe?' Mere 4th of July fireworks in comparison to what you'll be going through. Here's a sampler:

You wouldn't get it because you don't know yer history,
I attacked because you were moblizing to attack Cliffe and Weagle in Africa. I had these two subs patrolling the Indian Ocean, and said to myself "Hmm, what can I do?" So I attack the shipyards in Mumbai and also went for your fleet, which apparently I got no hits on. You must realize, when you go to war, you can get attacked from anywhere.
Now if you will excuse me, I have to defend myself from an enemy right over the DMZ that's attempting to bring back the USA. Permalink | September 11, 2010, 7:30 pm |

Ok, down to business.
I'm just going to try to clarify the whole global conflict situation for me and everyone else.
1. North America: The PCU has given up most of South and central America, in return for Texas, Alaska, and the ability to conquer SRGL.
2. Asia: The PCU gve up its Palwanian and Indochinan territories, which I will be annexing.
3. Africa: The African-combined-forces have yet to invade Libya, but when they do, Prusso-Egypt will push them out of Libya. Otherwise, Prusso-Egypt will not attack them. At the same time, India is taking over SRGL's former African territories. Permalink | September 11, 2010, 7:36 pm |

I simply had no clue in the world that Ham was attacking India for the sake of Weagle and I.
I almost just died.
If I had known that, none of us would have had to go through that huge and horrendous episode of strife.
I think I'm just going to do a total 360 here and join sides with Ham and Gober again. Sorry Nick. Sorry Awe. Well, at least you get to see the global war you wanted, Awe. :-P
I still feel absolutely terrible about having to backstab people so many times, but I guarantee everyone, after this insane war is over, none of it will ever happen again for a very, very long time.

Siberia now announces a state of full millitary preparedness.
The remaining ships of the Siberian navy will be forming up allong the chinese coast where they will be joined by a large merchant marine flotila. These ships will put into port and begin the long process of loading another 6 divisions (30 000 troops), 4 tank divisions (2000 vehicles) and assorted amphibious landing craft.
Mustering point will be on september 12 (irl time) at which time the now dubbed pacific flotilla will make for Alaska at best possible speed.
The troops in Alaska will begin pulling out of combat opperations and will eventually regroup to join the baltic flotilla.
Missile defence units are now setting up allong the eastern boarder. We fear irrational attacks from a frenzied HAM.
Also we trust our friends to intersept attacks from the west.

Submarines are being sortied right now to positions around the UFE's territorial waters to give effective deterrent to any would be aggressor. The troops called up several days ago are now taking positions on the Prusso-Egyptian border, but mostly due to how confusing their stance is with the current "WWIII".
A new geothermal plant has been completed, lowering energy costs and leading to happier citizens. Underground power cables are now extending into fellow BAMF republics Latvia and Estonia. In mentioned countries, many public works projects are being undertaken to keep everyone well employed, and raise quality of life up to Finnish standards. Factories of mostly civilian goods have been opened up in both countries. It is reported that approval of the BAMF treaty is at a resounding 87%, a great feat only capable by immediately raising quality of life and giving excellent jobs and education. This is going to be bear-bones simple.
In Alaska, small-scale incursions continue to be made from the PCU border into Alaska and Yukon. The main push of 25,000 troops heading to Juneau is still organizing. Siberian troops heading to North America have withdrawn back to their homeland, to link up with a large fleet being formed. 15,000 Chinese troops are also being raised to garrison the homeland, freeing up troops. However, Osean high command has finally decided to do something. A good sized air armada, spearheaded by 16 F-117 bombers are heading towards the main PCU troop concentrations. The backbone of the attack will be a large number of C-F/A-22's on attack and superiority missions. A main target is the PCU fleet, however most of these units have moved south, out of the range of Osean aircraft, so no losses to report for Nick's navy. Medium-heavy losses however are being inflicted up north against the ground troops, due to their lack of sufficient air defense. However, even with air cover, the Pacifician ground force where able to push back the first Osean attempt to engage them on the ground, due to the blatant range and defensive superiority of the Roman built tanks employed by the PCU. Minor losses there, but I have no Osean numbers so. Yeah. A small Osean naval expedition moved south-west from Alaska, attempting to locate the Pacifician fleet, however due to the very small naval contingent that was in the area, having retreated last night, again no bogeys where located, so no losses on either side. However, the Pacificians would soon run out of luck. The Pacific Wolfpack, although split in two, was still south enough to detect the PCU super carrier, and it's escorts as it headed for Portland. Using a new super-magnetic torpedo (the delicate nature of the technology caused all but one to malfunction), the Germans where able to strike multiple blows to the PCU fleet. The uber-torpedo managed to impact one of the escort ships (destroyer?), and destroy it utterly. However, conventional torpedo also managed to knock out another escort vessel, and deal serious blows against Nick's super carrier. She will need massive repairs, and will be out of commission probably for the next 4-5 days. However, even with the success of the U-boats, because of the proximity to the coast of the attack (planes), and ASW technology, four U-boats where lost in the attack, with all hands. Both forces retreated to lick their heals, suffering major damage to power projection abilities in the region.
In India, things are also heating up. The attack yesterday knocked out a berth, limiting the ability to produce and repair ships of the Indian Navy. Missions where immediately set out to find and destroy the forces that attacked yesterday. However, immediately after launching the attack, the subs retreated, to a location unknown. No losses for shipping on either side. However, the SRGL is still active. Because of the still recent invasion and annexation of part of Pakistan, a major rebirth in Hindu-Muslim hatred has happened. Terror cells in Mumbai detonated two large explosives during rush hour. The resulting blasts has killed hundreds, due to the massive amount of civilians on the roads. Intel suggests the bombs where of SRGL origin.
In Libya, things are actually quiet. Algerian and Nigerian forces have yet to show themselves, and USCA forces have remained in defensive positions. A very small force of Libyan aircraft (6 Raptors, and 2 C-130's) have linked up with Egyptian air power, but have not engaged any enemies. Because of the overwhelming air superiority of the Egyptians, USCA forces have abandoned forward positions in the Chadian desert (utterly destroying any fortifications as they leave), and are retreating back to the larger towns and cities, which are continuing to be fortified against armored and aerial attack. USCA forces maintain a northernmost stronghold at Bardia, with the line stretching down to Abeche. The total lack of any USCA assaults, or military positions near the border at all, have negated the heavy artillery presence on the border. However, Egyptian aerial incursions towards the USCA military forces continue. Unfortunately for them, with the more centralized location of the African forces, aerial units need to get within the danger zone of AAA and other AA units to launch any attacks. Using any air assets left as bait, along with dummy units, multiple Egyptian gunships and fighters have been knocked out, either by the use of AA, or light EMP attacks positioned along Egyptian flight lines. So far, 6 Hyperfalcons have been downed, along with 9 gunships of both sort. Any pilots surviving the crashes have quickly been rescued by friendly forces.
Also, things are heating up along the Nick-Ham border. A massive air armada of 120 MAF-1's sortee'd out to Detroit to attack the city. The armada chose a route avoiding the naval defense stronghold of Lake Superior. The armada was engaged by F/A-35's, which managed to down 13 of the more heavily-laden aircraft, before being chased off by lighter escorting planes, with the SRGL paying in blood. Eight F/A-35's where downed. Massive damage to the industrial and military areas of Detroit (massive civilian casualties as well), although the more hardened defense sites survived. The Marius Wall is currently under major artillery and air bombardment all along the border. PCU and FTSA ground forces are mobilizing, as are SRGL. Massive armored and infantry formations are forming on both sides of the border...

Good thing the Chancellor wasn't in Detroit today. He was in one of his mansion bunkers somewhere I can't disclose. Nonetheless, they are being converted to war time mode, where the city shall run on mostly reserve power. Permalink | September 11, 2010, 10:39 pm |
