-Awe annexing Israel
-Cliffe at war against Finn and Myself in Germany.
-Cliffe at war with Africa in... well Africa.
-Paranoid countries setting up defenses.
-Tension between Awe and Ultra.

You gotta admit, that was pretty funny (although your use of the word "women" may lead some mind's to the gutter). Anyway, no worries about your absence, (my social life for the last 6 months has been at a 5 year low), but you may find that the tides of this war are changing.

Maybe. We'll need to find a suitable person, and those are getting hard to come by. Tom N already has enough on his hands, Evan and Matt are too busy, I assume Erik is too, Shock hasn't been seen in forever...

I'd suggest Nick, but he's probably biased for me. So we may just moderate ourselves. Tom, Jack, and I will determine our successes differently, if that's the case.

Eh, I'm still around. I just rarely find the time to think of what to say for updates on my nation. Bohemia is fairly isolationist, so I suppose that could contribute to it being less active in a international setting.

Reparding Israel, I'm not going to go on a rant regarding realism, as I don't have the time or motivation. All I'll say is expect a very long and destructive (casualty, materially, morally and economically-wise) war. As you all saw with China (in the group), numbers don't win wars.

Bohemia continues to replace its aging and obsolete Eastern Bloc vehicles with new and advanced pieces of equipment. Bohemia hopes to fill the gaps that it cannot with its own new equipment with that of French-origin for ease of logistics. The F-35s currenlty being produced through the British license will now be upgraded to the F-35P standard with the permission of Finland having been confirmed.

The Allies tried to put German commandos on war crimes trials for using Allied uniforms in an operation, but then realized they themselves had done the same thing. So it's either a mutual war crime, or it isn't.

I've always heard five times the length of the projectile was good for a naval catapult.

OK, you'd know more than I know. I'm just basing it off my knowledge of bush planes. With something like a Reaper might not be a good idea to catapult it, since it's a slower flying aircraft that might not take the sudden acceleration very well.

The ADCC has completed the construction of one squadron of F-35s with the schematics coming from the Commonwealth. These units will be upgraded to the "P" variant within the next two weeks. Also, two more Yeoman squadrons were completed domestically in Italy with an agreement concerning Bohemia; the latter will in turn receive twenty-four Mk.IVs upon upgrades completion. Finally, one of the two squadrons of F-111s acquired from the Australian boneyard will be altered into electronic defense arrays; more news later once the actual program is online and tooled for work.

On note of naval progression, the third Type-4 submarine under construction is roughly three-fourths complete with round-the-clock work being done. Within the next three weeks, we hope to see a final product. The fourth sub is a bit farther behind and won't be expected to serve for some time. Work still continues upon the second Europa-class vessel with further news expecting from the Commonwealth.

Heading to the ground, homeland defense upgrades are nearing completion. Upgraded radars, anti-air munitions, etc. are all nearly installed and awaiting preliminary trials. Soon, these systems should be prepared and labeled for use. Most of the scrambled military units purposed with not being neutralized during inactive service in-base are also returning, but will resume exercises.

Switching to the occupation of Kuwait, armour that was meant as an offensive through Saudi Arabia have entered the country to serve as anti-partisan units and emblems of power. MPs are in high number as a new governmental party is established; this of course will likely be built from local British ministers as to create a more primary mingle of policy.

All naval assets are being transferred to the Baltic Sea.

While the upgrades may not be as extensive, the 100 old Finnish F-18C/Ds that were transferred to Latvian control are currently being upgraded with an AESA radar and conformal fuel tanks. We will also be covering the aircraft in RAM. This should make it harder to detect. These upgrades wont last that long considering that the AESA has already been produced for the F35s and the conformal tanks will undergo a brief dev time before trials begin. A new HUD is being incorporated as well, and look-to-shoot Helmet Mounted Displays are being upgraded to improve Air to Air potential.

Stryker MGSs are being produced from some of our factories in Latvia and Estonia, but obviously these will take some time to actually reach service.

Of course, the sad truth is that Finland is once again rather low on money. We could cut back on worker benefits, but that would create an uproar. Instead, we have decided that we will begin to encourage expenditures within the civilian sectors, by offering a broad price reduction campaign. We are hoping that even at reduced prices, more people will buy products so we will make more money anyway.

Government quality inspectors recently visited Estonia's knock-off piano factories and demanded that they make world quality pianos. Maybe that will help too :P

I was sure Nick's victory was at hand the moment we realized Texas didn't have the capacity to build their own war materials without external resources. Oil, food, chemicals, they have it, but from what I've heard, they're rather lacking in the iron and coal department. It was a matter of time.

However, Nick vs. Texas, SRGL, Japan, Canada, and Cliffe... Well, that was a more doubtful outcome. But now Nick is victorious on all fronts.

It was really Nick vs. A country/state that cannot survive on its own for long, A person who declared war for two days and then immediately called for peace, a person who barely did anything, and a guy who only spoke of grandiose visions but failed to halt the ground invasion. If you look at it that way it was pretty obvious who the victor would be. However, I feel that if the SRGL kept fighting it might have gone differently, especially if Cliffe decided to send real reinforcements, rather than just long range air superiority/bombing missions.

There's a difference between backstabbing your enemy and backstabbing your ally. Backstabbing your enemies is a common and effective method of making war, but backstabbing your ally merely declares your lack of trustworthyness. (I'm not sure if that's a word, but you get the point.) It takes no courage, honor, or skill to backstab your ally, and is therefore a cowardly dishonorable method of killing someone in my eyes. Feel free to disagree, I'm merely stating my opinion.

Well, while everyone else is at war, India is...Well, at war. Anyway, India's resettlement of displaced Chinese civilians is still under way. While it is unclear what kind of government was instated in the 21st Century, apparently it wasn't much better than the Communistic state that existed before, since (and often surprisingly) the Indians are greeted as liberators. On a side note, India is expected within a year to two years to experience a vast population explosion since the 'One child per family' law for the millions of Chinese has went bye-bye.

More news from the Chinese soldiers in the Indian ranks. Life is good for them, very few complaints so far; this due in part to India's reinstatement of several prominent Chinese officers to their former rank (unless it exceeded major). These men are in command, but only in reserve units for the time being (what with India still at war with their homeland and all). Most flight officers have been transferred to the IIC where they will be safely out of reach. Many Chinese are being trained in tandem with Indians in the Rajput (I couldn't resist) special forces branch. More on these later.

Patrols continue in the Indian Ocean. Production of the F-2,3,Tu-225, and EW-225 continue in numbers. Ideas are being kicked around for newer tanks and IFVs based on tech from Israel. More ideas for 'Pocket carriers' are being drawn up. This class would be conventionally fueled and have a capacity for only about 40 aircraft instead of the Guardian-classes 60. Refitting of the Burundi-class battlewagons into the new Abidjan-class amphibious assault vessels continue, should be finished before month's end.

The mazim is described as heavy, clunky, and awkward compared to the modern MGs and requires a large crew. In WWI, teams of 4 men had to be used. I believe only 2 men are needed to operate an M2. Plus an M2 is of higher caliber, allowing for effective long range fighting and even anti-vehicular roles. The Maxim can't shoot possibly more than 300 yards.

A Maxim gun, even the lightest they ever where produced will still be much too heavy for such a mobile force as airborne. As stated above, it's ridiculously small calibre, and would have a hard time doing damage to anything but exposed light infantry, and has a piddly range. Expect squad level MG's to be much lighter in the future.

Either way you slice it, in 2036 using the Maxim machine gun in anything but a reenactment is rather odd, and wouldn't work too well.

Now, what I'm talking about here is the Vickers, because it's simpler and lighter; 15 kg, rather than 27.

The .303 is quite a good cartridge. The problem is that it hasn't been used by a modern force for some time, so there's no AP rounds for it. Pretty comparable to a .30-06, allegedly. ~2 kilometers isn't a piddly range, either. There's also a .50 chambered one, which I don't know much about, and the Vickers K, which is more like the MG42 than the Maxim.

Now, admittedly it's quite outdated, but a modernized Vickers gun with a higher rate of fire would definitely not be something to laugh at.
That probably wouldn't work, actually. Something about the fire rate being related to the barrel recoiling.

But anyway, a new, rapid firing water cooled heavy machinegun would probably work well on vehicles. Think about it; a thousand rounds of 14mm ammunition a minute, all minute, every minute, as long as there's ammunition on hand.

Oh, and do you want to know what IS a ridiculously small cartridge with a hard time doing damage to anything but exposed light infantry? 5.56x45mm. Compared to that, anything's better.

But I'm giving my maxim/vickers/mg08 to the Airborn divisons. I'm going to. Use a mg3 and fg036 to the frontline forces

I wouldn't recommend makim/vickers for airborne divisions. Their weight removes the aircraft's maneuverability and speed, as well as rate of climb.

I would recommend these for a main weapon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minigun
They've been around long enough that they've gotta be dirt cheap. With something like a Vickers, you'd have to re-produce them, since very rarely do 100 year old guns still work after not being used in eight decades.

The minigun shoots a 7.62mm shell, which is 30 caliber. That's what I hunt moose and bears with. It's a good calibre. I put a hole all the way through a moose at three hundred yards with a 180grain bullet from my 30-06. (Sorry all you anti-hunters and animal-rights activists, it happens.) Anyway, it's a powerfull weapon with an acceptable range. It's accurate out to 300 yards, and still lethal to exposed infantry out to about 500 yards I'd presume. They can spit lead out at a rate that would make any attacker stop and re-consider.

They're mechanically rather complicated, heavy, eat ammo at a massive rate and you need a large battery to power them.

A Vickers, on the other hand, is notoriously reliable. They can fire non-stop without barrel changes for days.

A note, too: the miniguns 7.62x51mm Nato round is most definitely not comparable to the 30-06. It's a military version of the .308, an intermediate round.

Now, a 14mm, that'd shoot right through four mooses, three bears and a woolly mammoth at two or three klicks range. Don't mess with anti-tank rifle cartridges, matey.

I don't think you get it, do you. The rate of fire is what makes the minigun. I'll spare you facts, but imagine sitting in a building with your squad mates. Then, all the sudden, that cover is useless and half you buddies are torn to bloody bits.

And on the 14 MM whatever(I personally don't know if this is a mounted weapon or not): I'd rather take an M61 Vulcan. 20 MM at a massive rate of fire.

Of course I 'get it'. I'm saying that as an infantry weapon it's absolutely useless. There's no way an infantry platoon could carry enough ammunition to make it a practical weapon.

A vulcan would be even worse. You'd need a specialised vehicle. Much simpler to just use a AAA vehicle instead.

I believe Glenn mentioned wanting an airborne anti-infantry gun. Field cannons are waaaaay obsolete. In modern warfare, anyone foolish enough to wheel a cannon out into firing position, regardless of the caliber/rate of fire of the cannon, is gonna get his head blown off with a 50cal sniper round before he even gets the thing ready to fire. When it comes to infantry vs. infantry, sniper rifles and assault rifles are the way to go. (Unless you're in close range urban warfare, where a 12 gauge with buckshot is the way to go.)

My advice: (to Glenn) Don't bother with setting up a field machine gun. It's like putting a big sign over your head that says "I'm an enemy! I intend to shoot you!" If you're gonna use large caliber weapons, do it from extremely long distance, from a vehicle, or from an aircraft. That way it doesn't matter how big your battery is or how many gears and blah blah blah. Even a pickup truck with a 50cal mounted on top is better than a gun on wheels being pushed into field by courageous marines. For trench warfare, I'd recommend trying to get un-noticeable (preferably natural) defenses and snipe from them with rifles. If you try to use WWII style fighting, your enemy's gonna wheel his tanks in and start launchin' shells and you can't do anything about it. Even worse is when the enemy comes at you with hellfire missiles from an Apache.

Plus, your supply lines have been hit very hard, and your troops are being hit very hard directly by the Luftwaffe. We have quite the superior numbers and technology in the air.

Which also reminds me of the flying tank destroyers that are the Black Eagles that are also tearing apart your advancing forces.

I will be the first one to admit that it is not likely that mass desertions would take place in my favor. However, please note, that morale would be horrible for them at the prospect of fighting a fellow Nordic country AND fighting for the Glory of some Kaiser who in the four months of his rule hasnt done anything to help Sweden and Norway.

Even worse is when the enemy comes at you with heIIfire missiles from an Apache.

Or unguided rockets from a Hind, which can carry a metric frakload of them.

I want to build an Su-47 out of LEGO, but my economy doesn't have the ability to support them, and if the Russians had air dominance then I wouldn't have to worry about bombers.

If it's real, you just need to find out where the factory that manufactures them is and contact whoever owns that territory for manufacturing rights. If it's a Sukhoi, I'm pretty sure Ian has them.

Ahem. HEAR YE, HEAR YE.

The Mexican navy(Former SRGL) will be enacting a blockade of the Commonwealth territories of Suriname and Belize as of tomorrow. These ships will be located immediately outside territorial waters, as to not provoke war. All incoming ships will be boarded and checked for weapons and such. If found safe, the ship will be let through. We hope The Commonwealth and Guatemala will cease combat soon.

I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Mexico's still a little 3rd world military and economics wise.

What I've got going on is a bunch of Imperialists at war with my friend in Germany, and taking over a neighbouriing country. And also, Mexico is FAR from third world, pretty strong industrial power thanks to NAFTA.

I am only slightly confused to why you would want to put pressure on those two countries... I mean, yes, they would be nice to have but is it really worth ruffling each other's feathers over?

Arrogant? You call me arrogant? Confident yes, but never arrogant. You don't deserve the right to call someone arrogant when when you are using someone else's MOCs, which are just as bad as yours, AND THEN claim to have the greatest Army, Navy, Airforce, whatever in which every plan you send in states "the best of," "Elite," "Ace," etc. So no YOU do not have ANY right to call me arrogant. Ok, I'm going to be brave here, and offer to take some of the pressure off Brendan by offering to take over Africa until Tom gets back. I've watched Dogfights on the History Channel, dozens of documentaries on war, and studied the nitty-gritty of battle for many years. Plus, I've got several more years on anyone here (I hope that increases my credibility).

Yea or nay? I'm technically not at war here, except in China, and that's someone else. Bias? Well, not really. Half of my former allies-of-convenience are fighting against each other, so not really. And, I have a little more time in the old schedule, so how about it?

A large PE naval force has set sail for Africa. Where? I don't know. When? Tomorrow.

Is it possible you could specify where in Africa? I'm assuming the Algerian front, but if they are bound for the Suez-area, currently controlled by the PE, I would like to know.

If they are bound for Indian Ocean or Red Sea areas, my forces will escort them. No shots will be fired unless definite hostile activity is observed, but I like to play it safe.

I've got an Su-47 model that you can look at if you want any hints at what to build. It's not my greatest model and it's pretty old, but there might be a few techniques in there worth checkin' out.

http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/232431

If you're gonna buy good airplanes from Russia, I'd recommend these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_PAK_FA

They're almost as cheap as an F-35 and by my research (most of the information is classified) it looks almost as good as an F-22. They are scheduled to be produced in considerable numbers, so they would be somewhat cheaper and easier to obtain that Su-47s.

NEVER going to happen, son.

NEVER.

EVER.

It is Koenigsberg, the glorious capital of East Prussia, the place all Prussians in Germany call home. During the rise of Prusso-Egypt, Prussian independence fighters fought ferociously for their freedom. They're doing so once again. Never again will Koenigsberg fall to Russian hands.

Brendan, if you get anyone that doesn't know about the switch, please forward them to me. Thank you everyone for your trust, I shall not let you down.

If you are attacking, I don't want vagueness. Be specific with names of towns/regions. With weapons, I need ranges and all that good stuff.

Ha, now the entire world can despise me too!

Guess what everybody! I have limited internet access on vacation for the next few days.

I would like to say something first though.

@John Dawn and Jake H, I am truly sorry for ever forgetting any part of your plans in my reports. You both do put effort into your plans, and for me not to include it because of the sheer volume of FMs that I am receiving is selfish of me, and I was also completely unaware of it.

@Finn, You shouldn't complain, you only ever send me one sentence (and that's usually something like "1,000 planes will attack the Germans...", its not much to work with.

I can see how Brendan is doing, and that's not very well (no offense Brendan). But, one thing, as I am still on vacation, and only get a short period of time on the computer, I cannot have tons of massive FMs to string into a CR, I just can't. So if you want me to do CRs for the next few days, I'm going to need very condensed plans from all of you, (so Evan and Matt, please don't rewrite the bible again).

I say we stick with Ultra for now.
