Ahh yeah, I knew you were from Chch too. Yeah, large parking lot, but it's a clean slate for a lot of people. The start of something new if they want to push on with things and stay in Chch. Are you still sticking around?

It's really sad what happened to Christchurch. From what I know, it could have rebuilt and moved on from the first earthquake, but the subsequent ones have pretty much killed the city.

Well, the rebuild plan for the September quake was manageable. The rebuild plan as a result of the February one threw everything out of kilter. They're on track now, it'll just be a slow process in getting things back up. Clean slate.

Christchurch rocks? Oh sorry... Cool that you are moving to Auckland, but very sad and unfortunate are the circumstances. I lived in Christchurch for 5 years, moved back to Auckland a year before the Sept quake. I still have very strong ties with the city and feel sad every time I visit. The rebuild is positive, but its hard when you know what it once was.

Yeah, a number of the old buildings pretty much made Christchurch Christchurch. A new era arrives, so perhaps it's time to let go of these things. As long as we remember, then they'll never be erased.

I'm staying. I'm from Dunedin originally, and my family are all still down that way and keep subtly suggesting I return "home" but I've no reason to leave Chch. I've a great job which I really enjoy and a cosy and safe flat. Besides, Chch in my opinion is safer than Dunedin. If there's a big quake in Dunedin the whole city is full of old buildings that will crumble and fall, Chch is the safest city in the world at the moment. Nothing left to fall on you. And anything that is left is deep inside the cordon of the CBD where we are not allowed to go.

lol, that's one way of looking at it! but earthquakes are still dangerous on their own, (without anything to fall on you) aren't they?

Yeah, I did think that way too. Still do actually, what with the new buildings being made which are up to code, further solidifying the idea that Christchurch will be the safest place in the world, now with nothing left to fall, and the future where we have high tech buildings.

Main aspect for leaving was for work really, although that's taken a slight postponement as new freelance work has kinda got me sticking around until July or September lol

I'm real amped about this show! I've just spent $150 on Bricklink to aid in completing my exhibit which is coming along nicely. Hope to see you there.

Excellent your a photographer. I am kinda getting into it myself, though not with much luck mind you lol. I have a long way to go yet, don't even know what all the different functions on the camera do yet.

Oh, nah I'm a freelance 3D artist, though, I do know how to use my camera, and I will most likely be using it at the event.

Anyone heard of Bronte Beach, or Tamarama... Or maybe Clovelly? Well I live around that coastal region
