Finally, here's our first official challenge in BRICKSonWHEELS...
In our first challenge, I didn't like to make it tough on you(no rules, no complications...etc); though it would be so hard on a lot of MOCers around here, because it depends!! Depends on what!?? Let's see >>>
Here in the 1st challenge, the main idea is to "Challenge Your-self"! How? By building your own favorite car... so here's how it depends; if your favorite car is just a 'Fiat Panda' or 'Lada Neva' then it's your easiest self-challenge yet, but if your favorite is something like the 'Aston Martin DB9'!! Then it's your hardest self-challenge ever!
So here it is...
-It's as simple as this; be honest with your-self, decide what's your favorite car, translate it into LEGO
-If you've already built your favorite car, you could enter with it in this challenge, or may be you would like to build a better version and show it to us... And to make it a little bit easier to you, you can choose to build one of your favorite top 3 cars, and of course tell us in your MOC page what's the number of your car at your favorite list.
-So, head to your lovely zone, build your favorite car, in any size you want, any color, as much entries as you want... And post it right here>>> http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/1296
Dead line of course will be the end of february... so you have the whole month!
(Note: since it's our 1st challenge, we just have to explain how it'll work...
"every challenge will be a new group we make, and it'll be a public without approving, any one can post his entry there(just click"join this group" and post your entry)... that's what Sean meant that it'll be contests, check that out at the explore page, so the write up for the challenge will be in the BRICKSonWHEELS as a new topic, and the entries will be at the challenge new group we made and add a link here on BRICKSonWHEELS")
Good Luck everyone and have a "HAPPY BUILDING" :)

hey my buddyy!!I just posted my Mustang like 1 day ago,I can still post it though right?
For this month's challenge? Yes, of course, you still have till the end of February, please add it to the entris page link that I posted above(in the first comment of the topic) Good luck buddy ;) Permalink
Seeing as I'm not really into building cars right now (and not that good at it anyway), I've challenged myself to build a Triumph Rocket III. Which is nothing as described by this challenge since it's neither a car (albeit it's a big monster!), nor is it my favourite bike. However, since I've already managed to 1. build a decent sport bike and 2. build a bike which a minifig can actually ride; I'm now going to try and give the Triumph its original _FAT_ rear tire in minifig scale. I am yet to see a LEGO minifig motorcycle with two differently-sized tires, so I guess I'm on my own here... Permalink

Yeah I think that you're right about the wheels size!
Any way can't wait for your entry mate! keep MOCing ;) Permalink
As a matter of fact, the bike's coming up pretty nicely. The rear wheel design, like you could have expected, was my main focus so I did come up with a pretty attractive & functional solution (at least to me it is :]) I'm almost done with the bike now; I just want to tweak the final bits a bit more and then I'm uploading it. I was wondering whether I should make a special Bricklink order for the few color-specific parts which I need, but that's going to happen a bit later on, so for now I'm gonna post it as it is. My entry is almost ready, it needs some "make-up" and engine, the car that I'm working on is a favorite for a lot of people as well! it's as cool as the Laborghini(s)... and as famous as well.. so stay tuned everyone :)
And for those that didn't enter the challenge yet; you still have till the end of February, so go a head and have fun! I'm preparing for a great and interesting challenge for the next month, so keep in touch...
Good Luck MOCers, can't wait for more models from you >>> peace Permalink
Hello everyone :)
Finally, I'm done with my entry, I think it turned out good, I'm posting it tomorrow, hope you guys to like it.
By the way I'm so satisfied with the results of our first challenge, we have great entries, of course no winners here, it's just a challenge for having fun, and everyone who could make it to here is a winner in my opinion... Good work guys
And stay tuned for the next challenge, I can guarantee a lot of fun in the coming one! I have a good idea for it.
Thank you guys and hope you to enjoy your time in building nice cars.
Peace... Firas Permalink
I've finally gotten around to posting mine as well. Been a long time coming! But I must say, even though the build is nothing special, I'm proud that I did achieve the effect I was going for. Can't wait to see your latest MOC, Fofo :) Permalink
