I struggle with this because I don't want to build things that have been done already. I don't like being influenced, especially by Star Wars sets that are already out.

If you want really random stuff, check out the concept starship blog or go find old video games (starlancer, homeworld) for ideas for ships.

Right now I wait for each episode of Clone Wars to come out to see if I can build the new ships on there before someone else does.
