Reach-Flood=???
Join to comment
I just don't get it, ever since Halo 3, well actually Halo Wars, we haven't seen the FLOOD. I am under aged to be playing halo, but I know by heart that in Halos 1-3 when ever the flood show up it then is like the covenant aren't the target anymore. I know why in ODST there weren't flood, but why REACH?!?!?

Actually there shouldnt of been flood in Halo Wars because Alpha Halo had the first sighting of the species.

The flood was only on certain installations and research facilities. The flood was able to get on Earth
and Installation 00 by hijacking Covenant ships. There is no way they could be on Reach, because they had no transport at that time.

Reach was before the flood was discovered by humans

On certain facilities they were locked up, untill the covenant came to break open the parasite.

Does anybody remember Halo 2? Because on Delta Halo there were flyable Forrunner ships, you could in fact see one of them crash. The flood could of used those to escape to other places. But then again where would they go other than other facilities known to the ships data.

That's why the flood hijacked High Charity. The Covenant knew where Earth was and thus the gateway to the Ark.

Ya I understand that, but what I dont like is the whole 'inclusion' of the Flood in Halo Wars. To me it just seems like they put it in there just to have it.

I was also surprised that they were in the game.

And they also had it to where they had 'bases' and spawn areas. It fitting to the way the game is but not to the flood itself.

Yeah, flood combat forms don't spawn, but were infected by infection forms.

Yepp, they should have only had Infection forms spawn, and if they take over a host then a comabt form is added, and if that combat form lives long enough it would turn into a Carrier form.

Halo Reach, the game, is very wrong compared to Halo the Fall of Reach, the book.

Some parts were added, some parts were completely wrong, and some were slightly correct.

You can also call it 'updated cannon'. Bungie can do whatever they want with the storyline.

I'm actually quite happy that the story isn't as fake as in Halo Legends.
You know, crazy anime studios + Halo = a lot of casualties.
