To make Halo Reach truly the best game ever Bungie should of made Objective Maker. Here's how it works-
You pick your battlefield, difficulty, weather, time, forces, resistance and maybe a few more factors. After you choose this factors you go to the war room, there you plan out the assault. After the planning you actually get to participate in the battle, if you run into trouble with the enemy you could make adjustments on the field.
Factors and their purpose-
Battlefield- this will be a large map (im talking huge) maybe 10kx10k. This battlefield will have a whole bunch of areas to do opperations at. The maps will also be in different climates: desert, city, woodland, ocean, mountain, and space. Now the battlefield you choose will affect both sides of the battle, the climate will affect the soldiers. Now the I will get to the Space map later.
Difficulty-
Notmuch to explain here its just Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary.
Weather-
The weather you choose will also effect your troops, but you can only choose weather conditions that fit the climate.
Time-
Time of day really makes a difference in war.
Forces-
The forces you can choose to be in the battle are: Marines, ODSTs, and Spartans, maybe some other sub-forces that would apply to one of the military types. You can also choose who YOU are! that means you can be a marine camander if you want. Also take in mind that the forces you choose is also your deployment: Marines come in dropships or any other vehicle, ODSTs always come in their drop pods, and Spartans can come in any way.
Amount- You can choose what forces are deployed with you, that means you can ride down with ODSTs as a Spartan while Marines come in on trucks.
Health- The soldier you are is also your health: Spartans have energy sheilds and some high damage resistance, but if your a Spartan you have a very small number of forces to fight with you. ODSTs have strong armor and medium health, medium amount of forces are aloud in battle. Marines have weak armor and health, but have massive amounts of troops.
Resistance-
This is just how many soldiers the enemy has. You alos have to decide who you are fighting, there are three choices: Covenant, Insurrectionists, and (dare I say) Flood.
Gametypes-
Ill explain these more later.
And I'llexplain the rest later, but for now what do you think? This would be a lot to pack into a full game like Reach, but I would happily pay $60 for just this.
