So today at the Microsoft E3 press conference they showed the announcement trailers for Halo Anniversary and Halo 4.

Halo 4:

What do you guys think? the main thing I see is the change of the look of the armor, not sure I like it yet, I'll have to wait for some better views before I decide.

I sat up to 2AM to watch the live stream on Gamespot. Why, Ubisoft, why did you have to save Assassin's Creed for the last ten minutes?

On topic, though: I can't say I'm not excited. The levels seem to have gotten nicely freshened up.

Halo 4 looks promisig, but you really can't judge a teaser.

Halo Anniversery is going to be great, seeing how we know who it ends. It'll be fun to re-live the campaign in higher quality. They also said something about 'revealed fiction', I wonder if they will talk about Alpha Base and their exploits there.

In Anniversary it looks like the used all the covenant models from Reach, even Chief is using the Reach style AR. So I wonder why they changed Chief's armor from the Reach style Mark V. Also the multi-player looks exactly like Reach, so I wonder if its just another map pack like ODST did, which would be fine by me.

To me it looks like they used exactly the same engine as in Halo:CE. The animations are exactly the same. It looks like they just swapped all old models with Reach models.
The Master Chief model is the same as in the easter egg on 'The Pillar of Autumn'.
I think they should change the animations and the weapon appearances, but they should keep the same values as in CE, except for the physics, those should be like in Reach.

I read an article on IGN that said that they are using the exact same coding that CE used all they did was update the graphics and add in terminals like Halo 3 had.

The physics will probably be the same, and they'll have stopped the indestructable UNSC craft.

I want to know if they'll mention Alpha base, ad maybe even show cutscenes.

I saw the trailer on my XBox 360, probably after S.W. Creations told me to. It looked pretty good.

The main thing I don't like is the helmet in anniversary. The visor doesn't look as spherical as it did in the original and it looks a little tall. Also from the parts I have seen the level "343 Guilty Spark" looks a little to bright. The original looked really dark and drab.

I agree with you in the trailer the visor looks a little tall, but it looks fine in some screen shots I saw. they say that we will be able to switch back to the original graphics at any time with the push of a button so if you don't like the new look you don't have to play with it.
