We should make a time-line so that people don't get confused. Key events, like the date of the release of a new AEGAKS, or the day of the 20-minute war? Maybe make a new topic?

Good point. I am currently working on said timeline (generalized, mind you) and I will have it up within the week.

Hey I was thinking maybe we could use the numbers as a timeline because wouldn't smaller numbers be used earlier than the big numbers like 801?

Something along those lines I suppose. I had intended for each AEGAKS to be numbered sequentially with a specific identification code, but I decided against it.

Its not a bad idea, it can and did get out of hand when 20 people are making AEGAKS.

Ergo, I didn't try. But that still remains to be seen yes? I am in the process of building some projects, and writing that timeline.

Referring to the 'Faction Information', I like allot of the ideas, but I have some questions:

1. Are the colors listed above the SPA Districts the color of the uniforms worn by the Army/Population?

2. Is Mecha 1 no longer the Gold with Black that we have all known and love?

The colors for the SPA are the military uniforms specifically. Civilians wear regular clothes. And Mecha One himself is still gold with black. The drones under his control are either black or black with yellow.

Hay Jason, what do you think of assigning generations to some of the AEGAKS. Like the Arkham and some others could be Generation 1, sorda' like what Lego did in releasing their sets. And we (as in you) can say what AEGAKS is where.

I will soon be posting a comphrensive timeline reconstructed from my lost notes. Once this is posted, then we'll be able to determine canon models and alternate canon.

Let's just have the alternate canon be entirely jets! :D
j/k

Can't wait to see the reconstructed timeline. Speaking of timelines, I need to start posting the MAS storyline elsewhere. Maybe in a group of my own or in a vignette MOC.

AEGAKS: Advanced Exoskeletal Gyration Agility Kinetic System

And it's a revision of the Exo-Force storyline that's a lot better than the original, in my honest opinion.

I was wondering if anyone would mind if I added an older build to the group. It's a large AI Devastator drone that I call the "Ravager," made completely out of Technic pieces. I just wanted to know if anyone would feel that the Ravager would be out of place here because of the piece composition.

Thanks,

Actually, I saw that and I think that would be an interesting addition. Go ahead and add it.

Also I was wondering if anyone here would be brave enough to attempt a bionicle-system Hybrid AEGAKS. I'd love to see what could be done.

Simple yet stylish. Sometimes these little quickies to keep you going in between the bigger projects. Here's an idea, an AEGAKS based on a motorcycle design. I have no idea how this would work but it would be interesting to try?

I'm thinking of making another AEGAKS group with the title of "Descent". The story starts sometime in the early 80's NA. It will consist of the life-story's of the colonists that occupy the HAZMAT Settlements (thank you Crash for that stroke of near brilliance: http://mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=12982&topicid=60901).

I guess the reason I'm saying this is to see who is for and against it... So, any one interested?

Hey I'm all for it. IT would be interesting to see how this develops. Remember, each of the safe havens, above and below the fog ocean are isolated by the fog ocean, so vastly different stories can occur without much trouble for keeping cohesion.

I do believe I've just created the most basic reversed pilot block Mech Frame for the mini AEGAKS line xD

idk what it does yet...I'll edit my post with the updates xD

EDIT: okay folks..here's what I've found out

the upper part (which includes the mini ejectable pilot block) can "transform" into a mini agile "return" escape pod which if seperated from the lower half is programmed to auto-"transform" and start it's "ESCAPE" protocol.
E- Evasive
S- Seperatation
C- Capsule
A- Accelerated
P- Pilot
E- Ejection
aka (get out of the battle zone before you die) protocol

The lower half converts into a quadrapedial autonomous mech when detached from the upper core. The lower half also utilizes the ejectable powercells as stablizers(feet) for the quadrapedial mech mode which the legs extend and raise the body higher and is now able to use the cannon that is equipped underneath the pilot block.

Though the only flaw is the pilot block is exposed from above) yet this is where the ADAMS (Advanced Drone Missile Shield) comes into action. The ADAMS protects the exposed portion of the pilot block from Drone-to-Air or Drone-to-Ground based missles (lol). The hard core of the pilot block is anti-laser / anti-missle protected by a special resin coating the exterior that re-directs any possible damage into energy to help power the LR-MDP (Long-Range Magnetized Drone Piercing)cannon which as it's acronym states, it fires a magnetized charge into a drone's armor and magnetizes the drone, collapsing drone-upon-drone during mid-battle, and erasing all the drones autonomous battle codes and renders them to the point of scrap metal.

(so..from what I've described...does this mini-AEGAKS seem reasonable for Spearpoint? or would it be better fit into the Evolution?)

I still need to see it to be able to tell. The AEGAKS isn't just about a nifty acronym. It's a full on style, that while extremely flexible, still has some guidelines. Post pictures of it, and I can tell you then.

Not necesarily. Remember, some of the drones have retained their own wills and will eventually turn on Mecha One. Since each will retain its own identity, I don't see why they wouldn't have themselves modified to identify one another from each other. This could mean anything from mechanical changes to color.

So..could the eject pods be something to the sort of the drone's escape pod. wait...wouldn't under those circumstances, couldn't the drones start helping the humans? or are they like a side group that the humans don't know is helping them from the outside.

EDIT: I changed the background of both mech.

Azel, the rouge sniper drone, pilots the "Crescent".
and
Celese, the lone wolf, pilots the "Spirit" and originally the "Marauder".

the LR-MDP (Long-Range Magnetized Drone Piercing)quadruped cannon (aka the "Crescent") fires a magnetized charge into a drone's armor and magnetizes the drone, collapsing drone-upon-drone during mid-battle, and erasing all Mecha One's drones battle coding and renders them to the point of scrap metal. Azel, the drone pilot of the Crescent, found Celese's first fallen frame, and starts rebuilding it and uses his camouflaging ability, and changes the colors from the Ascent's pure white and blue, to the Black and Gray that matches his "re-paint".

Later, Azel befriends Celese, and helps her upgrade the Spirit, and helps bring back the Marauder's upgraded core.

The Marauder was one of the test racing models before the war, and when the war started, Rosalie, the pilot, had decided she wanted to enter the war, but under her assumption she had died in the races, she had to change her name to Celese and when she was pinned down by the Devastator Light Artilery Platform (by Liam Covey), she broke down and ejected when she saw the mangled bodies of her mother dangling from its foot. Which was why she had started to hate the drones with a passion. And in remembrance of her father who was murdered by a devastator drone in the first war, she went back to building her new mech, the Sprit. This time, giving the mech the capability to split in two and be able to still fight with the upper core.

Celese was the first human to befriend a rogue drone, Azel. Azel, the drone pilot of the Crescent, had the capability of camouflage; something Celese thought would be helpful for her Spirit. This gave the Spirit, the same coloring as the Crescent.

Just to let everyone know. I have the upgraded AEGAKS-VBGr Marauder (2.0) built and after this picture crisis is solved, I'll upload those pictures, and I have Azel's camouflaged "humanoid" minifig in Celese's protection/scrap mech. Personally, the original Marauder looks almost like 2.0 other than the 2.0 has the flight variable form and the capability like the spirit to fly over the fog (due to the 2.0 having elongated variable thrusters instead of feet and it stays on a clamp dock when not in action)

Flickr is really good for publicity; there are a lot of people on there and (in my opinion) more options available on Flickr than MOCpages has to offer, but that's mostly because MOCpages is probably a lot smaller than Flickr. If you happen to get one, let me know. I'll start up an AEGAKS Spearpoint group on Flickr sometime soon. ^.^
