I thought it would be a good thing if we all posted our pilot's back-stories here, ilike what Jason did with the original Exo-Force characters and his own original ones.

I'll post bios for the pilots of the Shinigami Squad, the last known fragment of the NAARA. (North American Anti Robot Army)

Rai Schrado, Pilot of the Shinigami Prototype.

Rai is the son of the founder of Schrado Industries, and as such was heavily involved in the testing and development of the American AEGAKS. Rai was trained as a pilot by the more experienced test pilots of Schrado Industries, mainly because when he was younger, he would constantly sneak into the labs where new mech technologies were being developed. Having one of their number occupy him with the training simulators was how the pilots kept him out of their collective hair. When the NAARA called for volunteer pilots to fight against the robots, Rai quickly volunteered, despite his father's wishes. Rai was given a standard Sniper type M-Frame 'Deadeye', copied from the M-Frame (AEGAKS 473 M-Wh 'Durandal') that was entrusted to the NAARA by the SPA. He quickly proved his skill, soon gaining the respect of his comrades, and promotion soon followed. Rai was soon offered the leadership of an elite squad of pilots, most of them piloting experimental or customized AEGAKS, called the Shinigami Squad. To this end, he was entrusted with the original D-Frame prototype, the AEGAKS-APB 000P 'Shinigami'. The AEGAKS-APB system was the American's take on the Japanese mech system. The American version is slower, but more heavily armored and, in many cases, more powerful. Rai led the Shinigami Squad to victory in several small skirmishes, but the new SHINIGAMI System and D- Frames weren't enough to turn the tide of the war. Despite the American's best efforts, they lost base after base, eventually sacrificing their final stronghold to wipe out an army. The Shinigami Squad barely escaped the NAARA's destruction, and they made their way to Sentai Province, where they currently fight alongside the SPA. Rai is a skilled leader, though he prefers to discreetly snipe opponents from a distance to fighting hand-to-hand, though he can easily do either. His sniper skills are second to none, and the strong defensive measures of his mech make him a dangerous foe. His combat skill and the Shinigami's color scheme earned him the nickname: 'Shadow Demon'. Rai is in his early twenties, possesses a cool head, is able to make command decisions and stick by them, and most importantly, will never abandon his teammates or anyone he believes can be saved. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Tristan Ventu, Pilot of the Amaterasu Kai.

Tristan was originally a farmer by trade, but his farm was destroyed in the first of the Robot attacks, and his family was killed. Filled with grief, Tristan put himself through an accelerated piloting training school and volunteering in the NAARA Pilot Corps upon completion of the training. Tristan excelled in melee combat, and soon was given a Melee Combat Type M-Frame, 'Swordsman'. Tristan was brutally effective at destroying the robots and was soon promoted to Major in the NAARA, his skills also earned him a place on the elite Shinigami squad and a customized Amaterasu unit, codenamed Amaterasu Kai. Tristan escaped from the destruction of Eagle Base with three of the nine members of the Shinigami Squad. His brutal, eviscerating style of melee combat reflects the deep anguish he feels due to the death of his family, and it earned him the nickname: White Reaver. Tristan is in his mid-thirties.

Jeran Tarel, Pilot of the Susano.
Jeran comes from a military family, and his father was a General in the NAARA which definitely couldn't have hurt his military career. However, Jeran doesn't really take much seriously, which is why he is only a Captain. If he actually applied himself, he could've easily earned a higher rank and a custom unit. Jeran posses an innate piloting ability that is almost ace level, but his inherent laziness constantly gets in his way, but if he sets that laziness aside, he is a nearly unstoppable force on the battlefield. It was this trait that earned him the nickname: Blue Storm. Jeran is in his early twenties.

Court Taler, Pilot of the Arthas Prototype.

Court is a former Mech racer, and this past is reflected in his mech. He and his team were recruited into the NAARA as a test pilot team. Inlike many of the other Shinigami members, Court doesn't have a specific reason to hate the robots, in fact he has a rather laid back outlook, but unlike Jeran, he isn't lazy. If he sees something that needs doing, he will do it to the best of his ability. Court is thirty-seven years old, making him the oldest member of the Shinigami Squad. Since he is a test pilot, Court doesn't have an official rank.

Hot-shot the pilot of magneto
his story is grim, little is known about who he was, he prefers to be called hot-shot and no one knows his real name, he is known for his skill with the sniper rifle, his great skill enables him to use with ease magnetic cannon, he is always smiling, but, if asked about his past, he says nothing and takes a violent behavior, he is the leader of the squad that operates in fighting robots in Brazil.

Anya Chandler, Pilot of the Pharaoh.

Anya was originally a student of ancient history when the first of the robot attacks began. Her Study plans were twofold, she was studying to become an archaeologist, and she was also studying piloting. Anya loves flying, which is why the Pharaoh is equipped with a float unit. When the war broke out, Anya was among the first volunteers to the NAARA, and she quickly established herself as a capable pilot. When she was offered a position on the Shinigami Squad and a D-Frame of her own, she jumped at the chance, with the stipulation that the mech be customized to her preferences concerning appearance, weapons and interior systems. The result was the 'Pharaoh'. Anya is in her early twenties, and she hopes to become an archaeologist when the war is over. Her keen analytical mind and sharp skills earned her the nickname: Hawkeye.

Garret Ward, Pilot of the Cerunnos and Cerunnos Kaiser.

Garret is a mystery, even to his teammates. He hates anything of a robotic nature, but the reasons for this are totally unknown to anyone but himself. He turned up at about the time the American Robot Rebellion started and volunteered as a pilot in the 12th Mecha Brigade. He piloted a heavily customized M-Frame called Berserker, which utilized a prototype version of the original Pulse Claw. Garret and his Berserker unit were a terrible sight on the battlefield, drenched in the oily lifeblood of their robotic foes, maniacal laughter issuing forth from the speakers in Berserker unit's mouth as the two of them mercilessly destroyed drone after drone until there was nothing left to demolish. Garret lost his Berserker unit when an ally unit was accidentally destroyed by a misfire from the Pulse Claw. Garret was imprisoned for it and faced a court martial, but he was acquitted. Not long afterward, an agent from Schrado Industries recruited him into the Shinigami Squad. One of the conditions that Garret imposed on his recruiter was that his new D-Frame utilize the production version of the Pulse claw. The Recruiter complied with this demand, and a few weeks later, Garret was entrusted with his D-Frame, 'Cerunnos'. Garret and Cerunnos were even more dangerous than Garret and Berserker had been, made even more so by the constant upgrades that Garret gives his mech. Garret is fueled by sheer rage and hatred, this makes him difficult to predict but his rage is an exploitable weakness. He tends to ignore orders for the sake of destroying enemies, this worked against him in the Battle of Eagle Base. He overestimated the speed of Cerunnos, and didn't make it to the transport that held the rest of the team. Undeterred, he hijacked a flying robot drone and used it to get to Sentai Province. Shortly afterward, Cerunnos was upgraded into Cerunnos Mk II. the changes included more armor, and a new main weapon, the Wave Pulse Claw. Mk II was later destroyed, with only the Wave Pulse claw, upper legs, torso and pilot block left in a salvageable state. These were later rebuilt into a new unit; Cerunnos Kaiser. Garret and Hector Grey, pilot of the Durandal don't get along well, and it may be only a matter of time before they come to blows. Garret's brutal, reckless combat style has earned him the nickname: Berserker.

Hector Grey, Pilot of the Durandal.

Hector, like Jeran Tarel, comes from a military family, but unlike his fellow pilot, he has a strong sense of duty and honor, not to mention confidence in himself and his teammates. Hector is the son of Colonel Daniel Grey, CO of Citadel Base, one of the last NAARA bases to fall to the robots before the destruction of Eagle Base. Hector volunteered as a test pilot in the NAARA when the call went out for volunteers. This was slightly after the Japanese of Sentai Province sent over their AEGAKS technology along with a working Custom M-Frame, 'Durandal', which would eventually become his unit, but he started out piloting a Standard AEGAKS APB based on the M-Frame 'Ranger'. The original pilot of the Durandal was a Japanese Pilot named Masaharu Ahruku, and he and Hector quickly became friends, however that friendship didn't save Masaharu. The two of them were out on patrol when they were ambushed by the latest Robot Drones, Hector's Ranger unit was destroyed, Durandal was heavily damaged and Masaharu was killed. Hector was in the hospital for several months, during that time he was approached by a recruiter from Schrado Industries looking for volunteers for an elite squad of skilled pilots. Hector agreed, but on the condition that he pilot the repaired Durandal in honor of his fallen comrade. Hector and Garret Ward have never gotten along, ever since they first met during the first meeting of the Shinigami Squad. Much to the distress of both, Rai often deploys them together in battle, they work surprisingly well together in spite of their obvious dislike of each other. Hector is one of the more skilled swordsmen on the squad, and it is that skill that earned him the nickname; Paladin.

Ryusei Haruki, Pilot of the Axios Custom.

Ryusei is Japanese, but he was born in America, which explains why he is piloting an American designed AEGAKS. Ryusei is almost supernaturally intelligent, with an IQ of 183, it is for that reason that he was selected to pilot the Axios Custom with its Triple Drive System. Despite his youth, Ryusei was a key member of the Schrado Industries R&D Team and he was involved in such projects as the creation of the SHINIGAMI System and American AI development. He never fought on the front lines until the Battle of Eagle Base, when he took a D-Frame prototype of the NAARA's new mass production unit, 'Axios'. Using his Axios, Ryusei fought the drones that had breached the defenses. When it became clear that the battle was lost, he downloaded all the data from the computers in the R&D Department, planted a virus to discourage the curious, and made his way to the aircraft hanger. He just barely made it onto the last transport, which, coincidentally was carrying several members of the Shinigami Squad. During the final stages of his escape his Axios unit was destroyed, but he managed to save the data to his personal computer. The data he downloaded included the Prototype American AI data and the top secret details of the SHINIGAMI System and the Triple Drive. Upon his arrival in Sentai Province, Ryusei requested permission from Rai Schrado to join the Shinigami Squad. Rai gave his consent, and Ryusei quickly began construction of his personal AEGAKS, using the blasted remains of his Axios unit as a base. Using that, many spare parts, a couple of SHINIGAMI Cores, combat data from the Cerunnos Kaiser and Susano, and the experimental AI he had helped to create, Ryusei rebuilt his shattered machine, making it more than the Axios MP was ever intended to be. The result was the Axios Custom, the first AEGAKS to utilize both an alternate mode and the Triple Drive System. It also made use of the experimental AI Ryusei and the R&D were developing. By this point it had become self aware and it chose the name 'Veruis'. Ryujin and Veruis make a formidable team on the battlefield, especially with the Triple Drive System, though Ryu's lack of battle experience poses a problem in high stress situations, however, Veruis has the ability to temporarily wrest control of Axios Custom from Ryusei, causing the mech to go berserk. This places an immense strain on both Ryu and Veruis, but it has saved their lives at least twice before. Ryusei Haruki when translated literally from Japanese means; Shooting Star Shining Brightly, or more liberally; Shooting Star that Shines Brightly. Ryusei's high intellect and analytical abilities earned him the nickname: Genius.

I have used 1, 3, and 9, and I believe that 7 has been spoken for. That leaves three. I haven't really determined which of the 13 overseers were destroyed and which still exist, only that 7 exist at the time of this story. so I guess pick a number that isn't chosen already.

Do note that you will be responsible for his personality and story, and how he responds to Mecha 1's forced control overrides.

So here it is. I would appreciate your opinion and suggestions and I hope you guys like it :)

Alright. I'm very impressed with the story that you've presented. So if you could make it a tad more detailed, and fit it into the timeline, I would like to make it Canon. Also, I'd like you to email me before you do so, because I would like to discuss something with you.

If you're talking about the resistance one, you could post it here, and in the Mirrored World topic, and wait until Rabid says otherwise.

Actually, since I'd like to make your story Canon, it will go into the official story topic. The one where I posted most of the character bios that I have worked on.

You can find some of them right here:

This is a pick of Hitomi:

All of the Arkham Prototype pilots wear red combat armor like Takeshi's. SPA pilots wear armor like Hikaru's (the whites with blue trim) and Hitomi wear a female version of Ryu's Orange armor. Ryu also wears a suit of Orange Armor. You can see the armor details in my MOCS.
