Ok, guys. I felt inspired to do this. Hopefully we can make this actually last at least 3 months.

I figured we could each control one fleet and one sector from the C.O.P./U.N.E. I'm not sure how the 21st World works, so if Awe or John can enlighten me.

We could each have standard vehicles. Example:
John uses-
HT-300 as standard tank
Roadrunner as standard walker
Archangel as standard plane-thingy

Awe uses-
LT-6 as standard tank
CPF-136 as standard fighter
Hammer of Thyr as flag ship

Stuff like that...

We could have 3 or so 'judges' to rate each member's selections.
There will be categories like armor, cost, efficiency, etc. They will be ranked between 1 and 10. All 3 ratings will be averaged together to make it fair-ish. Then all three of those will be averaged to get a overall rating.

Example:
My TAF-100
-Awe says:
-Cost 10/10 (Being really expensive)
-Armor 9/10 (being really armored)
-Attack 6/10 (I think you get the point)
-John says:
-Cost 1/10
-Armor 10/10
-Attack 10/10
-Ian says:
-Cost 10/10
-Armor 1/10
-Attack 1/10

Averages:
-Cost 7/10
-Armor 6.5/10
-Attack 5.5/10
Overall: 6.3

Something along those lines...

The only issue I'm facing right now is how we'd do battle...

Perhaps players will get so-and-so Credits for each controlled planet for fleet Admirals/Lords and so-and-so for each controlled base for commanders.

Admrl./Ft.Ld.(s) will be navy based and Commanders will be on the actual planet. Admrls and FtLds will have to set up defenses orbiting each planet and Commanders go through the same process except they control bases.

I'm at a loss as far as actual battle.
But battles will have to be overseen by an Admin or Mod. U.N.E. Players vs C.O.P. Players only. Perhaps other players can co-op against another enemy player?

Well, how about only one player can co-op with another player to DEFEND from an attack. We wouldn't want anyone ganging up on a single player. and to make things-

...well. Actually, maybe we shouldn't allow 2 against 1. But 2 against 2 or more sounds fun.

This points system sounds pretty complicated. Maybe we can do the down-to-Earth simplicity of Fed's first GC. MOC off, whoever wins, wins the battle. Someone neutral judges.

Makes sense, but then we would have to find a dedicated neutral judge and we'd have to constantly build for deadlines.

I was thinking something more along the lines of instant playing.

If this is going to resemble the 21st century then we need Awe. (mapmaker mapmaker make me a map) of the galaxy, I don't care that 2-D doesn't work, make it work.

Battle, In my opinion it should be based more one strategy. As in multiple people can attack one person, but then they leave themselves open for an attack or enemy reinforcements to flank them.

An interesting CO-OP thing to add would be for every 'fleet' have an admiral and general. Space and land battles respectively.

For the money system COP ships would be more expensive and heavily armored/gunned, while the opposite for UNE ships.

an interesting idea for a 3-D map would be to use Blender, each solar system could be made on its own, but thats a little more challenging...

Ian and I had a period about a year and a bit ago where we got really good. My main problem with pivot is how sore your mouse hand gets with all the clicking and precise arranging. I wish you could tap the sticks around with arrow keys

I hope this doesn't come into big numbers, I hate maths.

PS the statistics system could be made very simple:

Armor+Firepower=Cost
And you can add a specialty like: transportation, anti-ship, -tank, -air or -infantry.

Hrm... Too many numbers for me. The MOC-off idea would take too long. I'll consider the team thing, though.
