Quoting Parrington Levens
arg, doesn't sound hopeful. Just cos Sci Fi isn't as popular as garbage like twilight, why can't they find a way to make it profitable anyway? Art is SO almost dead these days due to the bottom line and popularism dicatating what is 'good' or 'not'. In the old days, garbage like HPotter and Twilght would never have even been produced, cos artists had standards then and the cultured, learned elite were telling the moronic masses what was good, not the other way around! Grrrr...
Not sure how the channels are packaged down your way, but in the US we've got SyFy Channel, which USED to be SciFi. They're turning it into more of a chick oriented paranormal channel, including vampire garbage and ghost-hunter garbage. Granted they've got the monster movie marathons and doomsday movie marathons every weekend, but they're being timid about developing true science fiction. Maybe guys just aren't watching? But they're not producing it, either. I say rerun the entire series on TV, see what kind of ratings it generates, then decide on Blood and Chrome.
