What is the best car to modify?

What's the best car to modify in your opinion?

There's so many cars out there that people love to modify, but what car do you think is the best car to put your own little 'spin-on'?

To be honest, for me it has to be the '32 Ford. Who doesn't love to tweak and fiddle around with the most (in my opinion) iconic American car? There are that many different 'off-the-shelf' parts that you can get for a '32 that it would take years just to name 1/2 of them. And then there's what you can make your self. Everything can be swapped, shaven, added on, channeled, sectioned, chopped etc. etc.! For me, the '32 Ford is the pinical of car modifying.

If that's not your taste, give us a paragraph or two on what car you think is the best car to modify. From Civic's to Golf's, Rods & Kustoms to JDM VIP and everything else inbetween!

Well, cheap cars seems to be the kit around here. There's tons of modded Corolla's and Civics. Mine included!

Yeah, Civics are very popular because they are very cheap, lots around for sale and have loads of aftermarket parts and many easy and cheap engine swaps can be done.

that's a tough one. in me head i have a lot of ideas(mainly for japanese cars). my best one is proberly the toyota yaris idea; bodykit like on ken block's fiesta, simmilar pait job, bright green wheels, MID-ENGINED!! yes, in my lovely littel head i plan a lotus exige s (http://topgearspecials.com/lotus-exige-top-gear-episode/) and a 100bhp battery in the front. and stripped interior.

K&N air filter, and I was literally a day away from changing the plugs. Then the clutch blew and now my parents want to sell it. =/

citreon saxos seem to be popular for tuning here in the uk. out of the (roughly) 500 i've seen , i've only seen 10 that had any taste/style.

That must have been pretty sweet! Was that in England or did you come down here to Australia?

Yeah, they're pretty common to see lowered and with a set of rims. I'd also that that here in Australia, the Holden Commodore is very common to see modified. And who can forget Nissan Skyline's, they are pretty much 98% of the time modified in some way.

that was in england. my mum knows someone in a vauxhall and chevy showroom, selling thing and his boss had the maloo. then someone brought in the manaro, because it was the same as the vauxhall one. i've also sat in a camaro ss.

That awesome! I've seen a few Camaro around, but never sat in one. I saw an orange one in the supermarket car park once, it had huge black rims (they must've been 24-26 inches) and sounded like it had a supercharger too! I'm not big fan of 'huge' rims, but it looked pretty tough on that Camaro!

Haha! Nah, don't worry about me, it's your car you can do it as you want! Although, it would be great to see it set-up like a touge/drift car. Like the one off Initial D.

Yes, definitely! There's a few around where I live, they all look so tough when they're practically scrapping the ground! ;)

Another great car that is modified very often is the S13. I know I want one for my first car with an RPS13 front bar, headlight assembly, front over fenders and hood and some 15x8 or15x9 Rota Shakotan's with stretched tires of course and a whole bunch of other modifications. I might list them all if you would like to hear them!

I guy a few houses down from my house has a white S13 with black aftermarket steel rims and twin straight pipes. He's let me have a look around the car a few times, it's beautiful! Runs a single turbo and a whole bunch of other mods to push it up to 400hp. It sounds awesome when he opens it up!
