I have a republic gunship that I NEVER use sitting on my shelf and its gathering dust. Should I take it apart? I could use the parts!

I would tear it apart like you said, you probably could use the pieces!! so.... TEAR IT UP!!! get on some stairs and drop it, it always works for me XD.
