So here's the round one topics-same topic per group.

The challenge: build a city/village/town-whatever community settings that you live in. Work together with your group-each person makes one MOC. Do not simply post your ideas-if your ideas are not contiguous with those of your group, you will be penalized two points. Everyone should make different things-you can have more than one house, but each should have a different style and a reason for it. Vehicles (transport within city) are allowed as well. Good luck!

can you reconsider the topic, most people dont have a ton of bricks to make a city and have never made a house OR bought any LEGO creator stuff so can we change it to Your culters market place, mall or the most busy place in your community?" that sound a lot easier, cuz where i live people ONLY live in skyscrapers, hard to build in lego =/

Hey guys, here's the deal: It doesn't have to be large scale. It can be whatever scale you want. And you don't have to make a LOT-just work together to make some of the basic buildings in your city.

Fruity: No offense, but you hadn't really planned it out well. There weren't enough people (it's easy to invite people), many were unhappy about the colonies (I think it's obvious that the leader should be building too), and you need more than one judge. Otherwise it's boring. Would you like to help judge?

Oh and the topic is: Happy days

Happy days seems like a topic for a normal contest, doesn't it? This is supposed to be a different format, so different styles of topics would be better.

I'd say a city is more general if you ask me.

It's not just a city-it's a group effort to create buildings that if you put a large number of them (you don't have to, I don't expect you to have the bricks) you'd actually make something that fits together.

The leaders DO have to build! not enough people joined the contest, so thats what he did to solve it. not the best strategy, but it works!

I know that they have to build. What I am saying is that it makes NO sense that the leaders should not have to build. Just lead? Boring...

well yes, but umm.... hows that supposed to work, as we dont know eachother in real life. :P

As I said, I don't expect you to do it. Just figure out the style of buildings-you could each assign yourselves one type and after making sure what scale the group would do and what color scheme, miscellaneous details, etc, there would need to be, build it.

im confused, they do build, they only are considered leaders cause they came up with the colonies.

Yeah. I'm saying that they do build. Eric was frustrated because he thought that leaders wouldn't build. That's all that I had been saying. I know that they are leaders because they thought up the colonies.

So to clarify-discuss with your group the specifics of the building that you will make (you can make more than one in an MOC or make a transport vehicle that is for travel within your city/village/town, etc), what scale it will be in, and miscellaneous details. And then build that.

So anything in a city right?
I think i will build an airport and metro for it.

Great, but make sure that yuo discuss the specifications with your group (eg, what vehicles, what styles, etc).
