Tell that to MCLegoboy when he writes one of his comments. :P

You're asking for it now. I'll tell you what; I haven't written all too long of a comment since that mega one on Deus. You say I write comments that long, but I only do when it is of importance, and those who read all of the long comments understand the idea of slowing down andlistening to everyone's ideas, even the big, complicated ones. I don't write all too long comments very often, not like the one on Deus. They usually are about this much in length when I rite a long comment. Of course, it does bother me when I only get a smiley face in return. I wouldn't mind reading long comments. However, there are those mega long chunks of text on those Bio-MOCs. I tend to skip over all of those. If someone is going to write all of that, they could at least split it up amoung the pictures so I do read it, or at the very least add a few enter spaces so that it doesn't seem as lengthy. Now I am not going to do that this time just to mess with you. I mean you did ask for a long comment. I have the time today. I had read the comment in question and he didn't even write anything worth all of that space since most of it was the enter key hit a bunch of times. He just wasted a giant chunk of space. He didn't try to share an idea throughout all of that space; he wasn't adding to the conversation with that mega gap. So have you given up reading? If you have you wouldn't have read this, so I guess it is a forgetful question. However, if you did read that question, I commend you. I will say no more since you were kind enough to read all that I wrote and are therefore forgiven for making fun of my comments. Now to actually write a long comment that will flow a little better.

Alright, you cannot simply add music to the page. You have to find it on YouTube or some other website where you can get an embed code without iframes and then copy the text and paste it into the page when you edit of create a new post.

I've picked up lots of those. The best way is to gently pin the head down with a stick then pick it up right behind the head. Then it can't bite you.

Hey! Would You like to judge in the Star Wars Olympics?

I didn't know you wanted me to judge. What kind of judging would it be like? Would it be like the actual MocOlympics and I just give my vote to someone? If that's the case, I'll do it.

I'll need a link or something though. I rejected because I thought I was summoned to build and honestly, I didn't want to try and force myself to build like that. The MOCAthalon did enough of that for me, at least until the MocOlympics if my schedule looks well.

VCR Taping?! Dude, nobody I know still does that. I only know how to do it because my dad showed me awhile back. But it is really quite simple. After an episode airs, just rewind, play, stop at the end and don't rewind. The tapes have 6 hours on them which means about 11 episodes per tape just to be safe. I basically have a legal bootleg copy of the whole Season just so long as I don't sell it.

A floppy disk is similar to flash drives today. The were basically smaller hardrives that were square shaped and about as wide as a playing card and you inserted them into a slot on a computer. It would transport files, make back ups, and stuff like that. They were still around in the early 2000's but died out shortly after.

You got bored in IV! Man, II is the most boring unless you knew the whole story. I'll admit, IV isn't the most exciting, but I think it gets most of its praise from nostalgia and the fact that it was one of those ground breaking movies with top notch special effects for its time and the fact of people just being thrown into a story with a major back story that was unknown for the longest time. Watch all the movies, but most definitely start with IV, V, and VI, then go to I, II, and III.

Star Wars is still a very good movie. There are quite a few slow parts, but that is after watching it and knowing what will happen so many times. I think age might also have something to do with it. Although Star Wars is intended for everyone, I think the teen years are where it can be most enjoyed for the first time because you notice things more and understand everything batter. And that also goes for a lot of movies.

There is no "To Be Continued" at the end so you're good.
The Rocky series wasn't too bad either. It may seem boring, but once you get through all five movies and look at it as a whole, it becomes very good. PG
Terminator and T2: Judgement Day, yeah, you may not be given the chance to watch those anytime soon. At least not the first one unless they skip the love seen. R
Predator maybe. R
Alien and Aliens are going to be tough to get your parents to let you watch unless they said, "Let's watch Alien and Aliens, you can watch with us." R
Kindergarten Cop for sure, it's just funny. PG
The Blues Brothers possibly. R
Bill and Ted's most Excellent Adventure for sure. PG
Jaws for sure. PG
The Matrix possibly. R
Star Trek II, III, and IV for sure. PG
Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail for sure. I have no idea for a rating but it might be R just for comedy nonsense of the 70's.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind was fun. I think it's PG but no promises.
The Indiana Jones series for sure. PG and PG-13.
The Sixth Sense possibly. I think it may be PG, it could be R.
Stand By Me possibly. Kids sure love to swear in this movie so it might be R.
Creepshow possibly if you want a laugh, it may be R.
Now granted, before a certain time, there was no PG-13 so something may be PG and say "Duck" only once while something may be R because of just one image.

Episode 1 and 2 are the ones with long parts for me... I dunno, it's just the ones with epic battle scenes (minus episode 3, which I don't see why so many people hate) just make the rest boring. :/

People hate the prequels because they were hoping to see younger versions of Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie running around and not all these new people with funny names and a bunch of politics. I personally enjoy Phantom Menace because it was my first Star Wars movie in a theater, and also the podrace, Darth Maul and epic battles at the end were well done. Attack was just a love story and a bunch a crazy politics with a chase at the beginning, a chase in the middle and a battle at the end. Barely any attacking of clones until the last 20 minutes. Revenge was really good because it tied everything up, and it was essentially a war movie and the story of a man's life as everything around him gets worse. A New Hope is A New Hope, Empire is a dark middle story but works, and Jedi is also pretty decent. Who can argue with Slave Leia? For some reason people hate Ewoks, but for people who saw the move at a certain age or younger there could be a psychological reasoning that it reminds us of a teddy bear we all had when we were really little as explained in a How I Met Your Mother episode. Again, Jedi ties everything up and works really well. VII, VIII, and IX will be interesting.

Man, I'm on a role with these long comments. Oh, a few weeks ago, I saw Oz: The Great and Powerful. It was okay. I think the two visual styles are almost too different between this and The Wizard of Oz so it didn't flow as well for me. The movie was still good, but in the grand scheme, it doesn't quite fit. Now, there may be room for a sequel, I don't know. I know they are based off of books, meaning, there may not have been a book between the two that these movies were based off of.

Anyway, I'd love to talk about the movie because my dad and I got really into it and were discussing about the connections that could be made, but I don't want to give spoilers or anything.

So in short, I say go see it for as cheap as you can find, don't bother with the 3D unless you're into that kind of thing. I'm not, and I think this is where movies are making their downfall, even this one. Movie makers are trying too hard to make things pop out in this 3D stuff, so shots look silly. Cut it with the silly angles and the 3D may seem more real.

Of course, now that I say that, I'm seeing Jurassic Park 3D tomorrow and I'll talk about what I think afterward.

Your logic doesn't add up man. By your definition, you couldn't even enjoy the movie. The politics sections would be too boring so you start looking around at what's moving in the room and then you are overwhelmed in the actions scenes that you are lost so you skip them. However, your comment made me laugh, so I'll take it for what you call it.

Okay, I just have to say something. Halhi can hate Star Wars, I'm cool with that, but it sounds like he never even gave the thing a chance. I bet he stopped watching before he even got to the Cantina because honestly, the early stuff with R2 and 3PO takes some time to get through, but after that, things get moving. Now, I'm only joking when I am being mad at Halhi because it is just a movie, a 6 part working on 9 part mega movie, but a movie nonetheless. Well okay there is the Clone Wars and the Expanded Universe but only a sane person has time for the Saga and the Clone Wars. People that start getting super defensive need to take a break and come back to reality. I love Star Wars, but I also don't hate Star Trek, I've never been exposed to much of it, even though it did come first. So yeah, then there is all the bickering within the fandom and I don't have time for all that either. It's just a movie.

But it's a pretty good one.

VII, VIII, and IX will be interesting.
Well, I wouldn't want to see new actors replace the old ones. I like them to be the same faces I grew up to know. (even though I was born just after the first prequel was made) Not to mention, they didn't know each other, and nothing special happened. Nobody wants to go watch Luke drink special star wars juice and work on moisturizers, or watch Leia become a princess, or watch Han and Chewie meet. (wait, that actually sounds good, that last one. :) ) Although watching him race in dead mans canyon (or wherever) would be sorta cool. :)

I have a love for Ep. 3 as it was my first movie I'd ever seen in theaters, and also the first time I saw a movie in theaters twice. I thought it was epic. (and I also got Reece's Pieces jammed in my gums)

One thing, I do wish they had the technology back then that they do today, because then the light-sabers (Ep. 4, *shudders*) wouldn't be so cheesy, and there could be a lot more movement and interaction with the big monsters. (Wampa, Rancor) I think if anything, the prequels sort of make the originals look bad because of all the effects.

Bahahaha. I saw it at a small theaters for like five bucks. :) (although dad bought the tickets) I liked the movie, but I agree. There were just some things that... Didn't fit. Like, where are the red shoes? Eh? And why, WHY, did the witch not have a squeaky voice??? And when does the monkey die, why were the evil monkeys baboons, instead of regular monkeys, and why did the china doll survive? So many questions, so little answers... And also, they forgot to mention, Oz, isn't real. It's supposed to be a dream. So I think a sequel where he wakes up among hot air balloon wreckage is in order.

And also, they forgot to mention, Oz, isn't real. It's supposed to be a dream. So I think a sequel where he wakes up among hot air balloon wreckage is in order.

Well, here's how it works. The land of Oz is in fact a real place, it's just really hard to get there. It doesn't makes sense for Dorothy to have a dream of the same place as Oz with the same people and all that without one of those fancy Inseption dream machines. Now, I would have like to have seen ruby slippers and the Witch of the East not turn ugly like she did. I was hoping for black and white stockings, but this is where a sequel could be placed. The monkey and the china girl will die in between or will go seperate ways because Tinker and Nook would have died and Glinda would be off helping everyone throughout Oz. Oz does not necessarily have to return, his physical body could be in a coma and he will just be in Oz forever. The baboons are all asleep in the poppy fields which means Witch of the West will need to find a new army. She takes control of the flying monkeys or a different type of them and so that explains that mystery. Now, there is also this whole thing with Dorothoy. The people in Oz are always there, and although it is a Real place, the mind of the person who goes there could have an effect on the people. She interprets Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion, Witch of the West, and Oz as people she knows from Kansas, but in this Witch of the West and Oz could be entirely different people. The guy Dorothy meats with before the twister could just be another conman and does not need to be the same Oz. This is Oz we are talking about, a place where not everything has to make sense. If you remember seeing the horses of a different color, they were all splotchy but in Wizard of Oz, they change one color at a time, they could be adolescents. The Lion who becomes cowardly may not ever change form, but Dorothy may interpret him as one of the workers on the farm. This stuff is what can make the movie still work and not need Oz returning to Kansas until the end of Wizard of Oz because he is the real Oz. See, it can work. For me it was more of the visual styling that was too different.

Well, Barney asked Robin to marry him despite his past of being a, well you know, and they will marry at the end of this season. Lilly and Marshal have a baby who is close to a year old now. His name is Marvin Wait-For-It Erickson. No lie, his middle name is Wait-For-It courtesy of Barney. And Ted will finally meet see his wife at the wedding becasue she is the bass guitarist of the reseption band. I don't think it was explained how they will meet though, just that she was there. As of the last episode, they will first meet in 45 days which will be at the wedding of Robin and Barney. There, you're caught up, what are you waiting for man?! Haha.

Well that was one short minute. How exciting.

So Jurassic Park 3D!

I saw it from the back of the theater because my friend is stubborn, but this movie still works. If you watched it right now in just 2D, you'd see what I mean about it translating so well. The angles that everything was at meant that a lot of the plants were in the way and the dinosaurs coming close to the screen really helped. Because it was the visual style to begin with, the 3D worked. Now to wait for The Lost World which may be even more exciting.

And now to wait for the day when they decide to make Alien and Aliens as 3D movies. They'll be female-doggin'!
Another fun movie would be Peter Jackson's King Kong. That will be even more female-doggin'!

Because it was the visual style to begin with, the 3D worked.
that sounds like an epic movie to watch in 3D

Not really, I'm not very good at science, or math. Science is the biggest thing I stink at, (math I'm actually average in, now that I think about it.)

I totally do that. Small talk is rough. That's why an activity needs to be planned and other people get involved. You have a group so there can be multiple ideas shared, and then you take the one person you are meeting and spend more time wherever they are than not so you get to know them more. I mean, they were your guest, I would think it'd be a little rude to ignore them completely. It's the same with all my friends.

Here's something weird, how can people own/buy land? I mean yes, there is that whole "We was here first" thing, but I mean the land was there long before you were. Technically it never had a value. Technically, nothing has a value except for knowledge and other non-physical things outside of the Internet. I mean, what is this slab of rock that you bought on this tectonic plate you live on really worth. It's technically a cone shape to. You now "own" a piece of the world that goes all the way to the center of the Earth's core, and nearly all of that, you can't use for anything becasue it's all magma. We have a tendancy to put a price on everything, no matter what. But like what happens when a disaster happens and the land is flooded out or ripped apart by an earthquake? You can't really repair it without buying more stuff to fix it. The Earth does what it does.

Yes. But if you thought about it also from a scientific point of view, the land was there millions of years before anyone and it will be there again after they die. Nature will take back the land in some way and then that person is out millions of dollars, which also has now specific value, just what they deem it to be. It's weird, we'll trade you this piece of cloth with a printed dead guy on it and you can then get stuff to survive while the actual little strips of cloth hold very little value and could not to much to help someone survive. I don't know. Stuff is weird, man.

Eh, asking questions sometimes works, but usually the best way I make new friends is (We go to this camp every year for a weekend, sometimes a week) while playing a game, (preferably something with lots of people, Prisoners base, or capture the flag) and one of the new kids is just watching, ask 'em if they want to play. It's a ton easier than just going: "Hey" And them nodding. Explaining the rules to them, and then them asking questions time after time, you become better friends than when you first said "Wanna play?". I met a kid with twelve toes that way. :D

They even made a topic for why they are better than us (yes, my loyalty is here).....no good answers are there because.....there aren't any!

Areetsa C likes it there because he can "enforce my fascist obsession with correct spelling here."

Whoop a dee doo!

To me there is no "better"

It's like this:
1. Each person may have his own preferences, but those preferences don't make something better or worse.

2. There is a difference between better and something that is just morally wrong. In that case, it would be bad. Neither of these groups are like that so one group isn't "better" than any other.

Stuff is weird, man.

life is wierd.

yeah.

haha, sorry, I had to say it!
people like that are hard to converse with, so ask them questions... usually works...

I meet most of my friends either through sports, or my church's youth group...
that way we obviously have to same (relative) intrests.

what's that? indoor soccer? :D

It's baseball, but with feet. You have to kick a dodgeball, soccerball, some sort of average sized ball that is supposed to be kicked. The pitcher rolls the ball to the kicker and after that everyone in the outfeild can use their hands. You can be tagged out with the ball, either in someone's hands or them pegging it at you, so long as it is not a head shot, or they get to the base before you. They can also catch the ball and you'd be out. So it's basically baseball with the three outs and no limited number of innings.

Yes, but way more fun than baseball in my opinion. Baseball with friends.....waiting forever for the ball to be hit.....With kickball, the ball gets hit WAY more often ;)

I've noticed that too..... Yes, you mentioned that in the MOC. I can see how that took half a day.

I like to post everything all at once. If a picture was misloaded, then before I upload it again, I put a few words for like "8 GOES HERE" so I would know where to post that picture since it would be the top one once uploaded again. I do the same for other pictures that malfunctioned the first time so I'd only have to go to the uploaded twice (maximum three if it fails the second time).

I then do all of the typing for the MOC. I pretty much go though what I remember, then preview it a couple times to get the rest all written out on the page.

Well, there is one good thing about the activity bar being down.
Less people are posting, so I've had a MOC on the homepage for two days...

Anything with four bases, a pitcher's mound/spot and players known as outfielders and infeilders.

Yeah, She only has to read us the science stuff aloud (from the book) then she gives us a test like every week for science.

I don't want to, and I want to organize my LEGOs..... School always has the priority. Until I take my final exam for this one class I'm taking, I'm stuck with the agonizing feeling that my LEGOs are unorganized... AHH!

So, what do you guys think of the summer sets?

IMO a lot of them are kinda meh. Half of the star wars ones seem identical to previous sets, the technic flagship is disappointing... The creator sets do look good though, especially the houses.

Just placed a $90 Bricklink order in preparation for my epic upcoming project O.o

You have a right to be jealous :)

And the best part is, that's only the first one! >:D

And another thing which is cool - I'm going to Sydney in a week! :D The funny thing is that it happens to be the very week that the Sydney Brick Show is happening, so I'll probably go check that out! :D

And there's one more exciting thing happening, too...

Yeah, Star Wars is just a bunch of repeats except they are Episode II and III versions of Clone Wars Sets. I'm just getting the one with Fett, and the new Episode II Duel Set. The others are full of minifigures that if you got multiples to actually make the armies, you'd also have an army of single people. I wish I had gotten the 2003 sets so that I could have an "army" of Clones than five with a bunch of Jedi.
