Alright,

Somebody quotes a famous, or at least somewhat well known, movie or T.V. show and then we have to guess what movie it's from. Have fun ;)

Perhaps it is an expression of where a ship can travel a parsec in a standard amount of time and hence it being considered a time thing. We're also dealing with stuff traveling faster than light, they are bending space and time just to do so. It's wormholing and the wormholes are shorter than a parsec. It's all sci-fi mumbo jumbo anyway. We also still have a shot of a Stormtrooper smacking their head on a door, and a CGI Jango Fett smacking his head on a CGI door on a CGI Slave I, so does everything need to be so serious?

You can't make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs because a parsec is a unit of distance, yeah. Oh, George Lucas, you. ;)

The actual line is "It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs". There are two explanations to the line's inconsistency, one meaning that Han found a shorter hyperspace route through the run, or he was just making it up.

Anyway.... "There's no earthly way of knowing, which direction we are going..."

Mad Max.

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retar-ded.

So this does have a slightly bit more graphic nature but the entire movie is hilarious from the awkward pauses and dialog throughout the entire thing.

"Okay, I want you to tell me what these fellas looked like."
"Well that little guy was kinda funny lookin."
"In what way?"
"I don't know, just funny lookin."
"Can you be more specific?"
"I couldn't really say; he wasn't circ[CENSORED]."
"Was he funny lookin' apart from that?"
"Yeah."
Skip a bit because it goes a bit too far, yeah...
"Is there anything else you can tell me about him."
"No. Like I say, he was funny lookin'; more than most people even."

Well, I haven't really been keeping up with it, I've only seen a few episodes. It's on pretty late, so I don't usually watch it. But it is quite good. I started saying "Oh jeez" and now my whole family has started saying it, lol.

Well, if you happen to have an on demand channel, it may have the episodes you missed, or there are copies online, and if you had a way of recording it, that is the best. It goes from 10 to 11:15 except for that first episode which was an hour and 45 minutes long. And I know what you mean about the dialect, I just want to speak like that all day.

"That there Fargo program on the television is quite a good'n doncha know."
"Oh yah, yah, you betcha, quite, quite the humdinger of a program."
"Yah. Darn near almost threw up laughin' so hard I did."
"No kiddin?"
"Oh yah; that Lorne Malvo fella is quite the character, eh ?"
"Oh yah, you betcha."
