CUPS Conflict Unit Production System
 Group admin
This is somewhat built off of the system that Dr. No made, as his was sound, but it didnít exactly confer with the system I had made for my mineral map, And he had some really good systems, so I kind of fused the two together. Although you might not notice because the two are kind of similar.

You have 3 production points (thinking of changing the name) at any one time to spend on units. If you finish producing an economy cheap unit, you get that point back.
- A very expensive, and expensive unit costs 1 point each.
- Two medium Units cost 1 point.
- Three Cheap and Economy Cheap unit costs 1 point to make.
So, for example; you could make 1 very expensive unit, 2 medium units and 3 Economy Cheap Units. Or, alternatively you could make 4 medium units and 3 Cheap units or any combination thereof.

Call out what your making here.

Please note; production for your unit will start only AFTER you have posted it to MOCpages.

Mineral bonuses:
-----
Everyone has small deposits of every mineral on their land; even if the map doesnít show it, the map only show the MAJOR deposits.
-----
First, here is the template they are set up in for easier understanding:

Name (Resources required/ # of deposits of that resource required for bonus): Bonus Ability
-----
These Bonuses are not allowed to stack with War Economy. Like the previous bonuses, these require that you own a major mineral deposit for the bonus to be used.
-----

Dough Boy Rations (Aluminum/ 4): +50 Production Limit for all Infantry

Nuclear Production (Uranium/ 10): -3 day Production Time for Satellites and Missiles of a Very Expensive Cost

Das Old War Blitzkrieg (Coal/ 8): -2 Days Production Time and +10 Production Limit for Expensive and Very Expensive Tanks

Heavy Armor (Iron/ 6): Expensive Cost Land vehicles take +2 days to produce, but you can make +10 more of all types (Except Support Vehicles).

Nautilus Hulls (Iron, Aluminum/ 5, 5): All Ship production times are decreased by 1 day, Aircraft Carriers by 3 days.

Liquid Energy (Oil/ 8): +10 Build limit on All Aircraft (Except Satellites), and +2 Build Limits on All Ships (Except Aircraft Carriers)

Copper Wires (Copper, Aluminum/ 5, 3): All Unmanned Vehicles and Drones -2 Production Time, and +5 Production Limit.

Pirate Army (Gold/ 8): Production Limits on Dirt Cheap Infantry is increased by +1000

Industrialization (Coal, Iron/ 4, 5): Production Time decreased by 1 day for all Artillery and Support Vehicles.

Nordic Raiders (Silver/ 8): Production Limit on all Sea Transports increase by +2

Mercenaries (Gold/ 2): +50 Production Limit on Medium Cost Troops

Imported Fuel (Oilómust be offshore rigs/ 7): Production Time on all bombers increased by 1 day, but Production Limit increased by +10

SatNav (Coal, Diamond, Gold/8): Production time on all land vehicles is decreased by 1 day.

My Swimminí Cigar (Platinum, Uranium and Aluminum*/5): Production time for Aircraft Carriers and Submarines are reduced by 1 Day.

Iím a bomber Not a Fighter (Silver, Copper, Bauxite/6): Production time for all Aircraft is reduced by 1 day.

Mine is Bigger (Lead+Zinc, Oil, Iron/8): Production time on all sea vesselís (excluding Carriers and Submarines) is decreased by 1 day.

*Aluminum counts as 3 deposits because bauxite is unrefined aluminum, whereas the deposit thatís called aluminum is very pure, so it counts as 3 deposits.

Land Bonuses:
-----
If your country encompasses 1-15 squares^* production time is normal
If your country encompasses 15-45 squares production time is reduced by 1 day
If your country encompasses 46 or more squares production time is reduced by 2 days

*A square means that if you have even a little blip of your country in a square; that counts as a full square.
^A country smaller than 15 squares gets a defensive bonus as well as slightly stronger troops and vehicles (see Small Country Production).

Large Deposit Bonuses:
-----
On the mineral map there are certain deposits of minerals marked saying that these deposits are the largest in the world. These are counted as 5 normal deposits.

(2 Day Production Time):
Lower the Ellipse stats of your units by 5

Small Country Production:
If your country is smaller than 16 squares, you gain an offensive and a defensive bonus to all your units (NOT YOUR ALLIES).

The offensive bonus makes the offensive stats of all infantry, vehicles, planes ships and fortifications belonging to that country go up by an additional 4 points.

The defensive bonus makes the defensive stats of all infantry, vehicles, planes, ships and fortifications belonging to that country go up by an additional 3 points.

Wartime Economy:
This is a special bonus given to nations who are currently at war. The bonus immediately goes away once the war has ended. War Economy gives the following bonuses:

-All Infantry production times are reduced by one day and their Production Limits are increased by 100.
-All Land and Air vehicles (Except Satellites) production limits are increased by 12.
-All Military Structureís production time are reduced by one day
-All Sea units production limits are increased by 7 (except aircraft carriers and submarines)

I put a whole bunch of stuff into production, and have not updated my stats since saturday. I plan to update my stats only once a week.

I'm not really understanding the points part. You have three points for production--so I could make 2 medium units, and one expensive? The example does not really make sense to me.

Can I claim my five off shore oil deposites, they would be in my waters.
When you first made the map I said I wanted those deposites, and then you said we cant have them, whats the point. They are very cose to my country, and I feel they should be mine.

Off shore oil deposites should be international.

They are in my waters, not in international waters, US oil rigs arnt international.
If you are right there is no point to them since no one can use them.

I say any oil within one square of youre land is youres, if its in between two countries they must ether decide who owns it, or share. all other off shore oild may be devided between countries near it. I dont feel there is anyother way.

Or we could go by the IRL rules which is the establishment of a 200 mile exclusive economic zone (as established by the UN) that says anything within 200 miles of your shores is yours period if it's money making.

This seems like a great idea to me, more realistic, and will stop any problems of figurig out how to divide it. I say it should be one square on the map (you havnt been active for a long time, and a lot of additions have been added). A lot of countries will benifit, and will motivate people to take coastline near offshore oil.

I'll just get it, ill devide them between the countries as best i can, and if someone has a problem with it, just say so and i'll change it if possible.

I think the limited point thing should be removed, becuase it caps everyone under the same tiny limit. Rebuilding armies would take unimaginably long times, even if you didn't add new creations.

Yes, can we create a map thread specifically? For all I know, my nation might be the size of Hawaii if the map size keeps increasing...

Or could I get a link to the map? Thanks.

Rebuilding an army is supposed to take a long time, its not meant to be fast and quick. Its still a lot quicker than if it were a real army. Its supposed to let you feel the cost of war, and how long it takes to recover from it.

We are talking a year in real time, and that's if no new creations are added.
