Emergency Lighting, Again.
Those of you who have received comments on your Units have two weeks to fix the issues with the lighting. We have rules that James and I created to create a safe working environment for our Paramedics and Rescue Techs.

You MUST have 360 degrees of coverage, that means ALL four sides of your unit,

AMBER and YELLOW will not be Tolerated as forward facing EMERGENCY lighting.

Brake Lights are required on your Vehicle as well.

Headlights *amber is ok* will be allowed as headlights only.

Here are the requirements, AGAIN.

-Front left corner: Green
-Front right corner: Red
-Perimeter: Red
-Right rear: Green
-Left rear: Blue
-Rear: (optional) ArrowStik

Lightbar should look like this:

Left Side, RED
Right side, BLUE
Middle, WHITE
GREEN Needs to be Incorporated in somehow as well.

Those of you with RESCUE and SQUADS need to contact me Via EMAIL for Updated Requirements!

Have a Great Day!

Let me make this clear to everyone, Blazing Lights has FULL authority to reject a unit if needed, of course either me, James, Paulo, or Keller can override that, Blazing makes mainly good decisions. So please do not fight him on that.

Alright, I'll jut save everyone a lot of headache. Units built before November 1st are exempt if they are "good enough". From now on, all units must comply with the standards.

Agreed, 360 degrees of coverage is required. However, if you still have a unit with 2010 standards in lighting, it is compliant (Ex. Medic 1). I also think that Medics with 4-wide cabs should be allowed to use 4-wide LBs (on the cab ONLY).

For brake lights can we use yellow lights?

No, the rules you see are the rules you follow. You do NOT make your own rules.

Brake lights are RED.

Austin M here a simple solution to your striping issue take blue paper and cut it and pastes it ove the red stripe. and this argument with him is ridiclous let's just get over it.

This is one of those times when you wish there were a like button, LOL.

As BL said, you have no ability to change the rules either follow them or not. I know it sounds harsh, but we have told you many times before to follow the rules.

And as for what Paul said, that stripe COULD work, keyword COULD. We want to make sure all units look like the real deal, not like someone graffitied yellow on an ambulance. If the stripe looks good we will let it slide, but if it looks like, well a blue piece of paper taped onto an ambulance, then no.

Keep trying though, use Bricklink or LDD (before they shut down the DBM feature) If you have any questions just email me or James.

EDIT:

You know its serious when Keller has to step in, LOL

Why buy ink or spray paint when you can buy bricks?

And this is the reason MOCpages needs a 'like' button.

HEY! I am not making my own rules first off. Second, If you look at your brakes light section THERE IS NOTHING SAYING WHAT COLOR THERE SUPPOSED TO BE. Third, i was not trying to make my own rules i was just asking what color so don't get mad.

Yes, they have nothing about the brake lights because you are expected to know that brake lights are red because every car that you see every day has RED brake lights.

Consider this your first warning.

The emergency services community does not tolerate, FreeLancing in any shape or form, Medlink Prides itself with consistency not only in our Medical Protocols, but in our equipment and Human Resources.
If a Medic from White Ridge is covering overtime in Stud City, Shouldn't that medic not have to worry about there being any differences? No.

-I put a signature too becuase I felt like it, even though it may be at the cost of a penalty due to it's non-serious attitude. I REGRET NOTHING. MEDLINK POWERS ACTIVATE!!!

I personally approve of it because of its purpose and UK lighting requirements. Everything is fine on the unit. I will personally deal with any problems that arise with emails sent. I expect they will not be (hint at admins).

MedLink has never, NEVER been about being stone-faced serious. This group is for the behind-the-scenes of MedLink; it always has been. You wil not be penalized here for not being serious. You can speak freely here, just as you have been doing. This is the FINAL word on the subject. As long as you're not being annoying/abusive, we won't have any problems. I've never had a problem with you, so I don't expect there to be any issues.

I have absolute respect for everyone in this group, but double posting, incessant replies off topic and illegible grammar and spelling begins to eat at me. I appreciate any sarcasm as I am a fluent speaker of it.

If I ignore you, It means you have pissed me off, If you get any such reply from me, it means that you are still on my good side.

I agree with most of this post.

Double-Posting: we all do it sometimes, just go back and delete the doubles (triples, etc.).

Off-Topic Replies: It's General Convo. It's here for that reason. To talk about anything.

Spelling/Grammar: I agree, major spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as use of the use of all caps, is annoying to me as well. Just try to do your best, guys.

Finally, I see no problem with more lighting than is required, unless it is restricted (ex. yellow brake lights, green ArrowStiks, etc.). I personally use more than necessary sometimes, so I see no problem AS LONG AS the required lighting is present.

Haha you can have as much lighting as you want, cough Zak O cough
as long as you have the minimum requirements and the colors are correct. I just think its cool to have a uniform standard on everything because it adds to the realism.

Hey guys, I figure that I ask in this section of MedLink since it has to do with lighting. I am making a spare rig(a 1990 Mack R/Pierce Heavy Rescue) and I was wondering if I could do a rotary lightbar( of course I would follow the lighting guidelines). This would go on the roof of the cab. Is this idea a go or a no-go?

I like the idea since it's an old truck but sadly I can't make the decision.
