Guys, please don't argue about religion. It can highly offend some people and I want his group to be a fun place to go.
Lets just make it the most popular Christian group on the pages. OK?

I don't want any debates about religion. I locked the other threads because certain people said some rude things that I didn't allow others to see.
I don't want people to get in arguments. I get in plenty of those and I don't like them.

This is just a warning: if you fail to obey and continue to debate with others I will delete you from the group. No ban, I don't believe in banning unless someone does something very bad. I will just remove you.
This isn't just a warning for you, its for others to.

Note:I do not like banning. Having been banned from a group I know how sad and hard it is. Banning should never be done unless they say something very bad.

If I believe that my way is right, I'm going to say it. If I believe that your way is wrong, I'm going to say it. Thats how things work. We can try to convince eachother about our views, but that doesn't mean it's going to work.

Eh, remove him anyway. We've already (well, at least you have anyway)tried to witness him, and he stated he does not want to be involved in religion at the moment. Then why did he join the group in the first place? To talk about Jesus? Of course not, he wanted to show us what he thought about the world ending, which is not the reason he should have joined this group in the first place. He wanted to talk about science, when this group is obviously about our religion.

As I have said before. It depends. The time, place, event, mood etc.

It depends on what is happening. If I was at 9/11 then that would have been a moment I would believe.

Take the time I was in a car accident. We were rear ended while we were in a complete stop. For some reason we did not slide into the other lane. We were at an angle to also. It was a miracle. It was a miracle my brother forgot his new notebook in the car when my mom slipped on ice outside, and we didn't hear her. He heard her when he went out to get it. My mom would have died other wise.

Most times though, not really. I feel science trumps Religion ten to one.

So you are using god when you feel like it?

In reality, a group is utilized to gather a group of people who BUILD something within the same theme, not because they believe in a single god. Religion... Lego... They don't mix. This isn't necessary to have a group that is dedicated to Christians. It's pointless, you guys are just kids and there are 2 things kids shouldn't talk about:

Listen, one third of the world's population is Christian. Can you perhaps guess why? I can explain. I live in Florida, and I know our history. When the Spaniards came to Florida long ago, they found Native people. Native Indians. They all had their own religions, own beliefs. But the Spaniards weren't happy with that. Missionaries were set up, natives were forced to oblige and if they didnt, they were killed. The missionaries were CHRISTIAN. Does that make you happy? I hope it does.

Even longer ago, during the time when your precious Jesus was born, Rome was the ruling Empire. Rome, at that time believed in Gods. Jupiter, Neptune, Mars and Venus. A very old style of religion. Now Jesus comes in. Claiming to be the son of god. Trying to convince the jews and other random people that his new random Religion came straight from the divine god in which they all worshiped. So today, the gospel and bible tells us all what we SHOULD believe while there is absolutely no specific evidence in its scriptures. The bible was written by THE Disciples OF JESUS. Who as a matter of fact, were all consistently CONVINCED to live by Christianity. Now, back then... Christianity was an alternative religion to what Rome FORCED upon others. It offered peace over war WHICH IS GOOD. But Rome was the forceful power that made all under its shadow bow down to their specific beliefs. Is this not what Christians did to the Natives I just spoke of? I call it forceful infliction of beliefs. Or, FIB. Notice, FIB matches to fibbing. Which brings me back to your Bible and beliefs.

You all worship a Religion. With absolute confidence that it is 100% true and right. Judging by the way you all believe the bible, I could give you an apple. I could say that if you believed that this apple was magic, it would make you invincible in life and immortal, if you bit from it every day. There is absolutely no proof to what I say, but it all fits into your advantage. This is how Christianity spread. It spread through the naiveness of humans. So you all strive to convince others to believe in your Jesus, when you all know so little about life. All you know and all you can see is the teachings of the Bible. So attempt to prove me wrong. I hold an open door to it. But I cannot be proven against unless you can all learn all that there is to learn. I cannot be proven wrong unless you know everything. Because if you knew everything, then there would be no point in the bible would there? Yet you continue to live by A BOOK, which is such a narrow perspective, while at the same time you try to convince me of your "knowledge." You all show a mere joke.

So you may believe that after speaking against the "proven word of god" I will be condemned to hell, so be it. When the final day of life comes, I will see who is right.

What if this "Judgement Day" is a lie? What if the entire religion is a lie? You act like one must be Christian to succeed at life and the truth is, it's not. Do any of you guys know the evil that has come out of Christianity?
-The Holocaust
-The Crusades
-Many discriminatory massacres
and I'm the one who will regret not believing? I don't like war, and one of the main causes of war is religion, ergo, I don't believe in it. You guys say you're "defending God". Wouldn't you not need to if he was the mighty being he is supposed to be? Wouldn't he strike me down and the many other believers who don't believe? Religion is nothing but and excuse for what we can't prove.

NO!He has came here to mock God with science AND to laugh at us and mock us!

Okay, couple things here:

First: you go on about "free speech" and how, like everyone else, Novosad has a right to it; then, when he exercises it, you kick him out.

Second: "mock God with science"? SCIENCE is one of the three fundamental pillars that hold up the christian faith; science, faith in God and the bible, and the church. Science is by no means mutually incompatible with christianity. In fact, without christianity's theme of "God made everything perfect and in amazing detail so it'd run itself without him constantly having to fix things, we should take a closer look to see how it all works" rather than the pantheistic religion's theme of "you can't play with steam engines because it'll annoy the gods of horses, air and water, and if any of them died we'd have no way to fix the world", we wouldn't HAVE modern science.

Third: christian groups are notorious on this site for causing drama. The REASON they cause drama is because the moment something remotely controversial comes up (which it will) you act like monkeys throwing excrement; you make unflattering comments regarding people's beliefs, faith, and reputation; you don't listen to any sort of reason, and when you think their logic is too strong for your mindless faith, you kick them out so you don't have to listen to them. You're ruining the reputations of all the christians on this site who don't want to be associated with CFOL style flamewars. Try acting a bit more Christ-like, and cut down on the hypocrisy.

Fourth: there's a time and place for everything. The internet is the WRONG PLACE for evangelism; nobody's ever really WON an argument on the internet, because both sides go off thinking that they're right and everyone else is wrong. If you can't change someone's opinion about an upcoming Justin Bieber song, how can you even think of changing their fundamental beliefs?

And lastly: you know what makes the christian faith different from islam or the roman catholics?
TOLERANCE. When someone comes along doing something sinful but not actively harmful to others, frown all you like, but don't try and force them to do things they don't want to. If they think you're lunatics, tell them you're very sorry they feel that way, but they're entitled to their opinions. I'm not advocating pacifism, here- I'm a big fan of hitting back with bigger sticks. I'm advocating NOT acting like jihadis.

if defending your beliefs involves screaming fits and name-calling that make christians look bad, you're better off just saying "sorry you feel that way".

To be honest here, people coming back to life is kind of impossible. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, just means that science doesn't work on it because they haven't been able to study the science behind resurrection.

Just as well, too; if they did, we'd NEVER get rid of celebrities.

In other words: sit down, shuddup, and have a go at being NICE TO PEOPLE in future.

Amen, It's like when I pray at lunch in school, when kids try to convince me there is no god, I tell them that is thier opinion and just let it go, I DON'T start an argument and tell them there flat out wrong then throw them out of the luch table.

I understand the purpose of the group. I understand you stand up for your belief. I do not understand why you stand up for your belief while at the same time you are so sure it is true, perfect and good. You are Christians. I am Ben, I wrote the comment posted above which states historical evidence against your statements. None of you know all the knowledge of the universe. Not one of you. I may be young. But I am a philosopher. One belief I stand by above all others ght. There is no proof in the Bible. If you believe the Bible, then why not believe that "Twilight" is true and real? There is no difference in their composure. I would trust more in Twilight than the Bible. Because the bible has had many years to be twisted and warped by forms of power, to fit their favor. I enjoy debating, yet I heard the group was not intended for debating. I would love to hear your opinions and arguments on personal messaging. Or we could always change the purpose of this group to an open religius debate. I do not speak against you, I just offer a more open alternative that you may find truthful. and likely. So attempt to open your arms anf let go of the narrow views of Christianity. Thank you for the opportunity to teach.

No, we will not sit down or shuddup! If someone attacks our faith then it is our job to counter them! And Novosad went too far. We tried being nice, believe me.

I'm praying for you all. ;)

Im not sure I believe that your faith was "atacked" merely questioned in a way that was too smart for you all to counter. The only thing you have to back you up is "Faith, Judgement Day, God, Jesus" and other random things that revolve explicitly around BELIEF. So if you can find something that isnt from the specific factor of religion, and use it against my proof and viewpoints, so be it. All I woulf do is applaud you and perhaps fade out of this. But for right now, me and a few others rest above you, wating to see the next peck you will send to us. Because I am only here to open your minds. And I agree that this group should be ended or changed, Christianity and Lego on the internet do not match. Well if you think Vampires are real so ten be it. The Bible is real and everything that happened in the Bible actually happened because scientists actually found scriptures so there is no use fighting or debating that the Bible isnt true.

So what you're saying is, if someone 200 years from now digs up a copy of Red Storm Rising, then the events depicted in the book will be truth?

Just because scientists prove something existed at a particular time doesn't make it any less or more true.

Fact is, records of the time are much too scanty to prove anything, especially since creatively editing history was considered standard procedure among rulers up until relatively recently.

IIRC, a couple of Pharaohs almost got erased from history altogether.

Quoting Christian H.
Again, I will say: I'm going to type up the history and fundamentals of the church. Every denomination will be included, and the summary will include beliefs, views, and most importantly, a short history of the church.

And what do you think that'll accomplish, other than starting a massive flamewar?

You ask for something that is not just a belief. Take a cuick look out a window. Look at the sky. Now tell me. Do you think it just appeared along with organisms vast oceans and numerous other things when two meteors collided?
Probably not. But then... How did it come to past. The only reasonable explanation is a divine creator. I am sorry if I sounded rude or pushed the pocket.

Thanks for replying politely. And that may be a good reason to back up your viewpoints. I never said i didnt believe in a divine ruler, because I do. But you answer the quesrion you described with a belief. Some things arent known, answers dont need to be provided right then and there. I stay open because I am not positive about anything. I dont know everything, in fact i know very little compared to all the knowledge the universe has to offer. Why say something is true or impossible when you cannot prove it, when you dont know everything? And to whomever else said that the bible is "all actual true" for your information, it was written by 5 men 2,000 years ago. It has been re-written, re printed and translated very many times. It is highly unlikely that during all those stages, the informarion was kept identically. Therefor, the text you read in today's bible, is likely to have many, many differences from the origional copy. So once again, logic proves you wrong.

I know him from Flickr, nice guy, just hates ignorant people. Now answer me this:
Why is it necessary to have this group? What does religion even have to do with Lego? Adding to the fact that many of the kiddies on here don't even know the fundamentals of religion, look what you get. A massive flamewar between kiddies who think they know it all and can't build anything but a "klun kummanderz" and many logical TFOLS like myself, who have valid points. So, what is the actual purpose of this group? Religion has nothing to do with Lego, so why start this?

If you believe that, why are you here?

I am open to other viewpoints, but I firmly believe that the bible was created by God. Well, created by God using men. He worked through the men. All that is in the bible really happened.
When God created the world around 6,000 years ago, he had it all planned out. He knew that Barack Obama would be elected into the white house. He knew that Aidan Flynn would get in a christian discussion with Ben G. He knew that judgment day wouldn't be on may 21 2011. He knew it all.

I'm not trying to force my view on you. I think most of us are open to hearing others views. We may not agree with therm but we are still open.

May the Lord God guide me in my speech;

All who are part of this group, I believe are part of this group due to the fact that it said "Christian". Whether you are Christian or not, it is a quiet place of contemplation, much like a lunch-time Christian group or Bible study or Church. However, if you are not Christian, you have every right to express you opinion, and if you are Christian, then it is your duty to hear and accept their views. Not necessarily follow, but not trash or flame or whatever else either.

Please, I urge everyone to stop turning every forum into a "torch-and-burn-op". We are not here to accuse, insult, defy, or argue, but to learn, create, listen, evaluate, improve, and above all, worship the Lord.

On a side topic, the Old Testament was the Jewish Bible, and is used as a metaphorical, or guideline, leading up to the birth of Christ. The New Testament is factual record of the life and teachings of Jesus, Son of the Lord. If you do not understand, I can explain in three days (Australia's Saturday 28th); if you do not believe, I may try to sway your opinion, but if you are steadfast in your own belief, as Christians should be in theirs, then I will comply to that fact. I may not like it, but as I stated previously, this is not like "Halo Reach: The Package/return to Sword Base".

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:12-13

In Jesus and the Lord we trust,

And if I believe correctly, MOCpages is a LEGO creation database, where people post, look at, and modify their creations. It is not a religious convention for people to get all mef-mef-mef over nothing.

Sorry, but I needed to say that. I do hope that this does not turn into a paradoxial group, where the anger causes more anger, and pacifists (as well as Christians in general) are scorched in all the flaming mef-mef-mef-ness.

I pray for us all:
May the Lord God guide us into each new day;
May He provide for us, care for us, and show us the way;
I pray also to thank the Lord for his wisdom and guidance throughout the past and today.

May the Lord be with you all

I pray in Jesus' name
Amen.

I believe the Bible is 100% true.
I believe that "If the first sense makes good sense, seek NO other sense." In other words the Bible should be taken at face value; NOT metaphorically.
For all of you science lovers out there, I'm one of you. Physics, chemistry, anatomy I love it, so believe me when I say that scientific facts support the Bible. That being said, don't say well how do you explain the burning bush, or the Jesus rising from the dead. Those things weren't ment to be explaind by science. I mean, who are we, as humans, to understand our wonderful God?

Hark! This is the group which says, and I quote from the main page:

"96% of teens wont stand up for God. Be part of the 4% who will and join this group.

This is a group for Christian fans of LEGO.
If you are a Christian TFOL please join this group.
Even if your not a teen but you are a Christian please join this group."

So, therefore, this group is for CHRISTIANS (not a shout, but emphasis, due to the lack of HTML). If you are not Christian, but already part of this group, then please do not post any "theological discussionary" (not a word, but hey!) posts/messages. It is likely to divert, distract, or insult any other Christian members.
After all, as my good friend has pointed out to me personally, "Why join if you aren't Christian if it IS a Christian group?" (emphatic capitals, not shouting).

May the Lord God be with you all.
Amen.

That's it.
EVERYONE IS GOING OT DIE, YES, BUT YOU CAN 'ELECT' YOURSELF! IT'S NOT GOD'S FAULT IF YOU GO TO HECK! GOD LOVES YOU! HE CARES FOR YOU! HE WANTS YOU TO COME TO HIM! HE'S WAITING WITH OPEN ARMS! BUT IT'S YOUR CHOICE WHITHER TO GO TO HIM OR NOT! DO NOT BLAME GOD! ANYTHING YOU DO IS YOUR FAULT! DON'T YOU DARE BLAME GOD IF YOU AREN'T SAVED! HE WANTS YOU! IT'S YOUR CHOICE!

And you wanna know why I'm screaming? CAUSE YOU NEED IT!
They kicked me out of the TFOLPC for standing up for christ.

Well they don't allow religious debate in there.

How we homeschool is we have our little 'school boxes' (:P) and we have all our books and stuff in them then we do a certain amount of stuff in each book. Easy as that. ;)

Wow sounds cool! So does a person come in everyday to teach you or does one of your parents teach you because someone I know was homeschooled till high school and her mom taught her

Unfortunantly, I was banned from the TFOLPC because I called Matthew "doggy boy" as a pet name on a ccount of his buddy icon, the email I got said that a mod banned me, guess what? He is a mod. He obviously does not think the same way you do. I did not say anything innapropriate.

you know, it's funny, and please no one hate me for saying this, but it's funny we say we're a gentle, loving religion when there are countless stories about torture, death, violence among other horribe things in the bible that god did. Any of you read the book of Job? Here you go. http://www.thebricktestament.com/

I don't mean to turn into the new Matthew whatever and i do belive in a mix of science and religion (cristian) but you do have to think. Then again, he doesn't eat people's soules and leave their bodies to rot so he is a better god then most.

Thats exactly how I feel.

Mayby we should drop the conversation and talk about somthing else. But then if we don't talk about it then we realy can't talk about anything on this group. I'd say if we can do it Calmly and not get angry we should. If some one reapeatly gets angry then...

What exactly do you mean by 'most'? The Bible doesn't say God created other gods, but it does say others a fake. By the way, it's spelled souls.

So mayby i'm going to far, but I think it is important that we figure out these things. Many teens today have tough questions they can not figure out themselves, so if mayby we talk about them we can figure them out.

Or they could join a philosophy class :)
