Hey Mortal,
Thanks for starting the group. It might be cool if there is a way to organize posts into two seperate categories (kids mocs) includes DIY and combined builds, and Parent Mocs creations made by parents for the kids. Some days we work together and other days we work alongside one another. just a thought

Also it might be cool to have several different topics of conversation (one being teaching ideas)

Its your great idea :) I will make your an admin and we can try and figure out how to do these things. This is the first group I have started so its all new to me too.
Shall we make it completely private (i.e. only members can see our creations and topics). I think thats a bit much as its only a bit of fun, but what do you think?

This should be fun!

No need to make it private.
other than protecting from trolls I think it should be an open and encouraging place.

Agreed :) At present we will need to approve members before they join but everyone can see the group. I dont think we will be able to split the creations into two groups, unless we make another group (or contest), but I think a contest is not in the spirit of this group.
I am so pleased you are interested in this. I have invited a few other Father/son combos, hopefully they will accept soon.

I have an idea for organization purposes. We could ask members to pick one of three tags to include in the title

KM= Kid Moc designed and built by a child
PM= Parent Moc designed and built by parent for a kid
MM= Modification by a child of a parents build or of regular lego set.
all of these categories relate to parants and kids learning together.

No parental mods of a lego set allowed, That is just too easy :)

what do you think?

All sounds good to me but we dont want anything too onerious - maybe leave it optional. The only addition i would suggest is a code for mocs built by parents and children together (like the flower we made for frank's mum) This system will be especially useful if the group becomes popular (fingers crossed). If you have suggestions on the group name, picture and rules then fire away.

Hey Mortal,
I still don't know how to send messages to indaviduals on mocpages.

I just added a youtube link for an animation of my batcopter.
As an admin feel free to delete this post so we don't junk up this group

Welcome Daniel :D. It is not the most active group but a nice place to share your (and your kids) creations. Anything built for them, with them or by them is welcome. I love your file name - Daddy can you build.... I wish I had thought of that for the group name :D.

Boy, am I glad this group made the front page. I was beginning to think I'd never come across the "right" group for me and my son. Thanks for your consideration.
