The primary rewards of the MocOlympics is the spirit of competitiveness, influx in creativity, and prestige of knowing one outlasted an extremely talented field through perseverance, dedication and luck.

That being said, there will also be physical prizes for 1st-4th place and the single TFOL/YFOL who makes it the farthest in the tournament. Not all the prizes have been decided yet, but here's what we know thus far...

The runner-up will receive set 8077, Atlantis Exploration HQ: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8077-1

The champion will receive set 10214, Tower Bridge: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=10214-1

These prizes can be mailed to the address of your choosing.

Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the other prizes...

Is the TFOL going to be by age limit like how last year it was under 16? Or is it going to be regular TFOL age limit of under 18?

From what I understand, if a kid wins a prize, it's sent to a parent's work address, with the parent's permission of course.

Even though he may write some odd things on that pages, I, for one, would most certainly trust Chris. Yes, you are entitled to your own opinion, but if this opinion is based on a few random phrases or such of Chris's then I would refrain from saying it. Chris does much more for this website than you know and since he was put in the place of moderator by the creator of the site he obviously has many trustworthy qualities. I know that if I were Chris, doing what I do for the pages, comments like yours would really bother me.

Just an understanding question:
3rd and 4th place:
Can the 3rd chose one set and the 4th gets the other, or can they both chose what they want?

Just an understanding question:
3rd and 4th place:
Can the 3rd chose one set and the 4th gets the other, or can they both chose what they want?

Good question. Short answer... meh, we'll figure it out when we get there. The other thing is that 3rd and 4th are technically a "tie" being as they will both be eliminated in the same round. Once we get there we'll simply ask the two players if there's a preference. And if they can't come to an agreement (hey, parts are parts people) then I'll decide for them (probably by flipping a coin or something).

Either that or I could box them up now so I don't know which one is which and just put the names on them when I ship them out...

It's whatever age you are when the games finish. We had some issues with this last year and figured it this way. You're closer to 13 now than 12 and will be 13 when the prizes are shipped so that's the category you fall under.

I know it's not the BEST solution, but it's the one that works and can be used across the board without causing trouble.

So Lando, if you are in fact the highest scoring TFOL (which it looks like you are) then I'll need one of your parents to email me an address that they'd like the prize mailed to (usually a work address care of them but can be any address they choose). Have them email me at:

Thanks, but like I said I don't deserve a prize. I honestly think that he would deserve the prize even if I did get more points. His entry was awesome, and he beat me fair and square. Thanks for the thought though.

You can stop making prize-winning remarks now, hahaha. Thanks, though, you're being an excellent sport.

Could he receive another prize for having been mistakenly informed?

Ya know what... yes, yes he can. We put it out there a WHILE ago that he had won the prize so, due to his good sportsmanship here yes, he gets a prize too! It was MY mistake that the proper YFOL wasn't announced so I'm not going to have someone be let down due to MY error with something like this.

Quoting Popcorn .
Snap! Oh well, mistakes happen and I don't think that I really was or ever have been worthy of a prize. So, congrats Lando. Have fun with your awesome prize!

Popcorn, your entry (and awesome attitude here) IS worthy of a prize. Go ahead and have your parents email me with the address they'd like it shipped to and I'll get you a little "somethin' somthin' " in the mail.

Congratulations to both of you!

But wouldn't it still cost a lot to send it to Israel? I think keeping the shipping in the states would be cheaper. They just have to send it to me and everything'll be solved. They won't even have to think up the next rounds categories because there would be no prize.

Being as George G is our final surviving TFOL, and is still in the game (congrats George!) it looks like we have a prize up for grabs here.

So, without creating the "drama" (even though there wasn't any real drama and was dealt with awesomely by some very mature YFOLS) of the whole Popcorn/Lando thing...

I'm going to take a look and see if I can figure it out but in the meantime... who's our next "longest surviving TFOL" from this year's games? Whoever you are, you have a prize coming! (since George can only receive one prize for making the final four)

If there's more than one (which it looks like it may be) the judges will have to confer on how to handle it, but we're open to suggestions on what would be the most fair

Note: "Open to suggestions" means that we'll listen to your proposal and then make our own decision as to what is the most fair.

How about "most improved"? ;)
Either that or have a MocOff between all the TFOLs who were in the top 16.

I'm all for a MocOff between the last remaining TFOLs. :)

.

I think if you think up a new category (or one from the last round they none of them got to play) and have a 4 way match. The judges could vote for the winner and they could be awarded the prize!
P.S. Thanks for the congratulations Chris :)

Ok, so someone correct me if I'm wrong here...

I have the last 3 TFOLs from before George G. as being:

Glory Forever
Grant W.
Annie Corder

Are we missing anyone from waaaay back in round 4 or is this going to be a 3 way thing?

May I suggest a MOCoff in the same categories as the R6 and R7. Seeding could be depending on the TFOLs placement in R1. This really would add some excitement and interest into the TFOL prize :)

Good thinking, Thoy. I like your idea. It would also bring an extra spark of attention to the finals. These cathegories are too good to be played by only four players!

Oh, well woops. I hadn't read this before, but I turn 13 on December 2nd, which would mean that I am ineligible for the YFOL prize. Congratulations to Popcorn!

As I'm a firm believer in honesty as the best policy and since I already have the prizes for both of you set aside and the addresses of where to send them (thanks to your parents) I'll just swap em back and you'll both get a little somethin' somethin' for all the hassle.

See, it is always better if you tell the truth.
