I think it might be the child of Roran and Katrina, but who knows where Paolini will go with it. Maybe Arya, but then there will be like nothing specail about Eragon, or maybe it will be the weird little girl (can't remember her name at the moment). Or maybe it will be someone new! I honestly don't know what to expect.

It will be Arya, and her dragon will be male, otherwise Eragon and Arya won't be able to get married and the dragons will not be able to reproduce, therefor ending the dragon riders FOREVAH!

Oh really? Then it can't be Roran and Katrina's child. Hmmm, "In all four books", tricky. I really doubt it will be Roran, but who knows. Arya would make sense, but if she becomes a rider than Eragon is going to seem like a weakling. I personally think it will be Elva. She's so unpredictable it could make for some very intense situations, plus she has the Dragon Insignia on her forehead. In the third one she is just kind of off on her own, because she's somewhat free of the spell.

Nope, I think the rider will be female: Elva (like I said before, she's already got the dragon insignia).

But there is a problem you never thought of. OK, think of it this way:
Why does the green dragon need to be male? Because Saphira needs a dragon to mate with so that the dragon race will not end. She cannot mate with the evil dragons.
Why does the green dragon's rider need to be Arya?
Well, as we already know, the dragon and rider have a very strong connection. In order for Saphira to be able to mate with the green dragon, Eragon needs to also be in a love-position with the green dragon's rider.
Therefore, there is no other choice but Arya.
I seriously doubt that Mr. Paolini would be cruel enough to match Eragon and Elva together. Ew.
Anyways, Elva is just a couple years old. She can't be a rider.

I mean Sapphira was interested in Gladre (Oromis's gold dragon) and were Oromis and Eragon in love like that? I hope not!
And Elva is perfect because she'll be unpredictable and could cause some very interesting plot twists, plus she has the Dragon Star insignia on her forehead.

She was interested in him but he quickly turned her away, it didn't turn into anything. Anyways, she was young and it is excusable. Another reason why it wouldn't have worked out obviously because Eragon doesn't want to get married with Oromis :P

Yes, but this is the last book. Also I remember somewhere reading that Saphira said that the Dragon Star on her forehead doesn't mean she has any connection or anything.

There were both elf and human riders in the past and they didn't have any problems then.

I never thought about that but I agree with you, after the final battle Eragon will turn down the crown and give it to Roran, who then gets coronated and then the book ends (At least I think that is how it should happen)
