So in the introduction it says to show your creations but in the rules it says you can't add your mocs. Also I was wondering why you a have two afol book groups.

Sorry Isaiah S.
You always catch me out lol. I work long hours so I can't spend as long as I'd like on this website. I have updated the rules and description. Forgive me?
Take it easy, Baz

Thanks for the invite, but I'm only sixteen. I think is says that on my homepage. I'm honored that you thought of me though, and feel free to use any of my creations (a little extra publicity never hurts).

Thanks again,
Ian

So am I too young? (Sorry to ask again, but I'm just curios. My last comment has the details).

Hi Ian. You build great mocs. I do want to show the world that Lego is not just for 'kids'. You know, 5 year olds. There are a few adults out there with an intact imagination and some remember how much they loved Lego as a child and are now making incredible things with Lego. I reckon it's art. People such as yourself are not yet 18 and have way more Lego building skills than me. My creations wont be in the book, but I would like talented under 18 year olds to have a page in the book for them. People to keep an eye on and watch out for in future. Anyone under 18 can enter and a handful will be selected for this 'up and comers' page. Thanks for your interest : )

Okay thanks! I'll put a couple of my creations in the group. Oh and you might want to check out the works of Paul Vermeesch and Max Pointner (two of my friends). They're a little younger then myself, but are both absolutely brilliant builders and have been on the pages longer then I.

Thanks,
Ian

Hey gang. I am all about showing off building talent. Anyone of any age can add Lego creations to this group. But, the point of me being here is to promote my book which I am asking Adult fans of Lego to show the world their favourite Lego creation they've made. Depending how many enter there will most likely be a page in the book for up and comers, under 18s with great Lego building skills

Can tell us a little bit how the project is going on? Did you receive many entries?

Hi, it would really be cool to have an update on this project, as we haven't heard anything about it since the deadline for the entries.

Some basic information would be enough for now, something like:
- How many entries in total did you get?
- Did you even get enough entries for your book?
- What are the next steps?

Hello Lego Fans!

'Bout time I updated everyone on the Adult Fans of Lego book.

I have looked at all the entries. The creations are good and the information that people have sent has been perfect.
Having said that, not quite as many entrants as we'd have liked in order to choose through them and differentiate between the great, the good and the not as good.

Personally I am a bit of a perfectionist and can't produce something unless I am completely happy.
We didn't get much help from the major Lego fan sites, such as Brickset and Eurobricks which didn't help with getting knowledge of the book out there to a vast audience.
So, since many Lego fans have had Christmas holidays to spend time building Lego creations and since lots of new sets with new elements and new colours are coming out we are thinking of having a 'round 2' of submissions.
This will give the book it's last opportunity to survive. I still feel that it needs to be made.

But is it fair to people who have entered already?

P.S. a few people who build great creations and are in this group didn't actually email us pictures... So if there is a round 2 I encourage you to enter! : )
We may contact people direct, but again, this isn't fair for those who enter on their own accord. So, this is up for debate.

I wouldn't see it that way. I've entered one of my creations, but what is it worth if you don't get enough good entries to make the book?

So if you feel the need for a "round 2" then do it! And we could make some publicity on the fan sites to get more people to enter their creations. There are still a lot of our "LEGO buddies" who haven't entered their creations. We could start to encourage them and then let's see what happens...

Even if my creation is not chosen to be in the book, it's cool to be part of this process.

That's my humble opinion, let's see what the other group members think about it...

Thanks for your encouragement Nils O!

A few people have been wondering what the latest news on the Adult Fans of Lego Book is.
I think Round 2 will go ahead.
Why not give the book a fighting chance.
We will send out an update to everyone on our database at the start of April.
Our 1st goal- get mentioned on the main page at www.brickset.com !

Thanks again Nils O and everyone who has shown interest

Baz

p.s. http://talltaleunderground.com/contact-us/ if you want to be on the database

p.p.s. 2nd goal is to get everyone who said they would enter but who didn't enter to enter :)
