I do have LDD designs for my Locust and MadCat. I don't foresee my Unicron being posted although, I'm still debating whether or not to unleash the Warhammer. Since they aren't legoformers, would I still be allowed to post them for design tips?

Thanks for the compliments on the HeadMasters Chris! I added a frame for my HeadMasters. And you can use any of them you want if you build the bodies. I probably won't. I took some inspiration (especially the the waist bar peice) from Fracus. I am working on some different basic shapes.

Hi everyone, im thinking of starting my first transformer, so i need some advice. I'm currently at the widescreen area, (this is when i thought of making it into a transformer so i stopped building). I'm pretty sure I can fit the head into the trunk, i made it quite roomy. Another thing is that i really don't want to use those big hinge pieces, i feel that they take up too much space. (it's only an 8 wide) Lastly, i still can't find a solution for the rear spoiler (it's a Porsche Carrera GT), I want the legs to split at the bottom, but that can't happen if the spoiler is connecting the two sides together. Anyways, if you guys could help i would REALLY appreciate it, as I'm extremely new to transformers. I could post some pictures if you guys need to see what it looks like. :]

It's really up to you, I figured that let you use the Back Admin Account I made, and giving you its login info would suffice.

You could make give this account Admin Status, for back up purposes, I wouldn't dare use it to mess with things.

As I said, it is up to you what you do in regards to this matter.

Boyswiththemosttoys (and other members of this group) - I don't know if any of you have found this already - but I think I discovered a great way to get some of our Transformers designs possibly made into real Lego sets. This may seem a bit tough to do, but hey, if a mindcraft set went through, why not some of ours? here's the info on what I discovered.

Well, you'd need some serious attention, but there's nothing copyrighted about robots that turn into cars. Just change up the heads to avoid to much tension and maybe, just maybe, it could lead to something. But by no means am I being very optimistic.

Anyway back to CUUSOO - we both know Hasbro and Lego will never unite so its unfortunately never going to happen no matter how many votes for Lego Transformers there are - there are licensing and other things that need to be worked out with any Cuusooo fan voted project and even if voted up the projecty may never happen! So I really don't see it more than a fan wish list - to make the fans feel a part of the process which may or may not take place anyway! Ultimately another site to get fans hopes up for nothing!

Thanks!

I am still working on the RC transformer I mentioned years ago. I currently have the torso all sorted, but as you can probably imagine, the legs are very difficult. It will be done though! Although I am relying on the meager holidays that I get to build it as I am living away from my Lego.

Just touching base, and, I suppose, continuing my tirade of self promotion. I feel like I am making Duke Nukem Forever though.

Hi all I wasn't sure the rules for starting a new topic but something I've picked up that may be useful as a tip (although I can't sum it up as I'm not good with words)
That the middle of a transformer that usually rotates to the body can be used as a weapon instead. A good example is the nose cone of a fighter get. A good example would be Andros Tempests CyberAgent.

Hello all,
I see that this group doesn't seem to be all that active but I joined nonetheless. I currently don't build LEGOFormers but I would like to start. Are there any basic techniques that I should know? Also what would be a good 'first Transformer' to build if there is one? Any help would be appreciated :)

a mini former is always suggested by me when getting started

watch my "how to" vids on youtube there are many tips tricks and examples - and you need to have the right aptitude - some people don't have the ability to see two forms in the same space which will make the attempt excruciating

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUZKvR3DnhL8mmqBJYyfYlI__NX-Kwjnl

as well I have some LDD examples

http://www.mocpages.com/folder.php/106269

these are good starting points! cheers

Cool! Thanks for the tips!

Try to get the vehicle mode right before getting the robot mode right. Also, for smaller transformers, hinge joints are the best. Also use T joints, however only use ball joints and plug joints sparingly. On top of that, be careful with ratchet joints. They're always hard to use, because they are rough on the figure. They require more force to move, which could bring the figure apart. I try not to use them unless it is a necessity.

Good Luck! :)
