I'm currently working on a beach animation. Its got over 1100 pictures right now, and it'll probably be by best.

Wow! That sounds huge! I hope to talk to my brother (in law) tomorrow over Christmas lunch about our project. I am not sure how to edit all the pictures together but he is a professional editor so hopefully will give us some ideas.

It's only 1:44 long right now, but I've still got to make another scene. So I expect it to be over 2 minutes when it's finished. :) We currently use "Windows Live Movie Maker" - it's just whatever came with LB Senior's laptop. But I'm sure your brother in law uses something that's much better.

Yeah, it is fine. By PG rating not being allowed, I mean the ones with the Parental alert that comes after clicking into a creation. Your animation is fine.
I'm certainly not the best animator either! But that's what this group is for; to improve and enjoy other animations!

Good try! I would suggest next time having the camera on a tripod or someplace stable. And another tip when making stop-motions, You can't have too many pictures. The more pictures you have, the better animation it will turn out to be.

A good start! Those were drawings? Pretty good. I couldn't sketch to save my life! I agree with Quad....Can't wait to see Brickfilms from you!

BTW, I try to stay away from music, as I've had my whole video removed due to copyright. But I suppose sound effects are safe?

Thanks! I think the reason I had trouble keeping the camera in the same position was that I had to hold it above the picture. It should be much easier with Lego.

The music I used was actually composed by MOCpages own Ian Spaceck, and I asked him first, so I doubt he'll sue me ;P

Just forgot to mention that here in this group, one of our purpose is to enjoy each others stop-motion. I will do my best to take a look at the animations posted here, and perhaps leave a comment - I hope you all will do the same as well!

I can't be bothered to provide a link right now, but check out "Roboto An award winning stop-motion" on Youtube. At least, I think that's what it's called. (It's been awhile since I saw it.)

My favorite Lego stop-motions on Youtube are the ones done by Michael Hickox. You guys should check them out.

Hey, you wouldn't happen to know of any free programs or anything that permit 15 FPS editing, would you? I use iMovie for my films, but I can't seem to do anything faster than 10 FPS.

I use Windows Movie Maker and yes, it can do 15 FPS, though it is labeled under "Duration." It should already be installed in every Windows computer. (Yes, it is free.)

Correction: WMM is installed in all Windows computers with an operating system of XP or later. Yes, it is free. I personally prefer the Windows 7 version better because it is a lot easier to set the frame rate.
