Mind you, I never said it would be your capital now did I? (I am evil :P) Anyways, an infinity bomb is a high explosive bomb that lets out an EMP shockwave prior to detonation. The EMP is what would do the most harm, as the bomb itself is only capable of destroying a city comparable to the size of downtown Milwaukee.

2 things- I don't know if we have any in the group yet, but I feel super heavy/heavy hover tanks are just plain ridiculous. It could not support 100-180 tons while moving at speed or firing a gun between 200-300mm

It would be a pretty useful document. If players were more likely to be attacked when there countries slipped onto the "NPC list" then it might encourage them to stay active in the group.

Further, an NPC List might function like a "Lunch Menu" for countries that were are serious about expanding their territories.

It would be a way of encouraging activity across the group. As it is now, rulers can basically take a vacation form running their countries for weeks at a time with no worries.

People seldom stay active in a group unless there are measures in place to encourage them to do so.

Now it begins to get a little more clear. Remember, I still have not witnessed how combat is conducted here so forgive me if my questions seem elementary (But I did read the rules thread a few times already).

So as long as the attacker doesn't try crazy stuff (Belgium vs China) there is no CM. Then who "plays out" the battle? It sounds like there is a "Sort of CM" or maybe a "Diet CM". Somebody has to figure out how the battle went down, and you obviously can't leave that job to the attacker (I win whit zero losses!).

But the CM in the case of an attack on an NPC, has a much easier job.

I recommend the following:

Start an NPC thread. On the thread, spell out exactly what NPC status means (in terms of it’s effects on combat). Also, publish an official list of current NPCs. This thread would serve three important functions.

First, it would educate your group on the dangers of becoming an NPC. The dangers sort of need to be spelled out (especially for the younger group members). Educating the group about important parts of the game is the group leaders job. So take charge. Make rules, and explain them. You all have MOD and ADMIN titles…so use them to make the group better!

Second, the list would be a last (polite) warning to heads of NPCs that while they are off chasing butterflies, their nation is in grave danger.

Third, it would show the active player nations where the "Best Bargains" can be found (everybody loves a sale!).

I think this group has a lot of potential, but it has slowly come to an almost complete stand still. School, work, and a little bit of frustration from the younger members have all piled up like a wall that halts forward movement.

A gesture from the Ruling Committee, like this (NPC list) might be like a shot of adrenalin right before the summer vacation (when most members will start to have more time). A Sort of a wakeup call.

And for those who don't want to wake up? The active nations will dine on their nations, their factories, their fields and their people, as they sleep. (Yum!)

The Map needs to be fixed big time. It seems like many current friction points (misunderstandings) come from out dated map data.

It seems to me that much of this world is actually a crypt. Lots of people started out with a good deal of ambition, but most members have faded out of the group.

If you review the threads, you will see that for the last few months, the MODs and ADMINS account for almost 80% or 90% of the message traffic on the threads. That is sort of upside down. MODs and ADMINS should be like traffic cops, participating in conversations, but mostly trying to make sure the process stays on track. In fact, 5 guys (MODs and ADMINS) are doing most of the talking (and there is not much of that).

The reason I point this out, is not to complain. But it makes me think that there is a lot of land out there which has been claimed by people, but is not currently being actively ruled. They are hollow countries. Lonely flags blowing in the wind before abandoned factories and empty streets. (I mean let’s face it...no participation by a group member usually means no interest). The disinterest can be for lots of good reasons: School, work, family responsibilities, but the fact remains, be it due to disinterest or due to obligations else ware, non-participation still results in locking up parts of the map for people who are not here.
There is lots of land still available for annexation. But there is lots of NICER LAND which I suspect is currently locked up within these hollow nations.

If the point of the group is military MOCs and international conflict...well...wouldn't it be "Wise" to figure out which of your neighbors are hollow and which are still quite healthy?

If you review the threads, you will see that for the last few months, the MODs and ADMINS account for almost 80% or 90% of the message traffic on the threads. That is sort of upside down. MODs and ADMINS should be like traffic cops, participating in conversations, but mostly trying to make sure the process stays on track. In fact, 5 guys (MODs and ADMINS) are doing most of the talking (and there is not much of that).

The reason I point this out, is not to complain. But it makes me think that there is a lot of land out there which has been claimed by people, but is not currently being actively ruled. They are hollow countries. Lonely flags blowing in the wind before abandoned factories and empty streets. (I mean let’s face it...no participation by a group member usually means no interest). The disinterest can be for lots of good reasons: School, work, family responsibilities, but the fact remains, be it due to disinterest or due to obligations else ware, non-participation still results in locking up parts of the map for people who are not here.
There is lots of land still available for annexation. But there is lots of NICER LAND which I suspect is currently locked up within these hollow nations.

If the point of the group is military MOCs and international conflict...well...wouldn't it be "Wise" to figure out which of your neighbors are hollow and which are still quite healthy?

Frankly, I don't think he wants to share the map with anybody. It might be an emotional topic. He basically offers no opinions until I hound him like a hungry zombie beating at the door.
Most people in the group seem to think that faster updates would be better, but they don't seem to think it is important enough to worry about fixing.

Perhaps is you expressed a willingness to help Mr. McCall by posting a response to one of his comments he would do you the favor of answering your offer?

I also love how nobody seemed to tell me that I was being attacked.

At least I will have more time to take apart my WWii mocs and start building things for this group. Im also thinking about starting my own war group this fall, I want to try and make it much more freindly, and have a multiple offence rule where admins cant just ban other admins, or mods when they dont like them, and have to have a majority vote, and they must have broken a legit rule.

Im sorry for this post but I am so done with that group and that drama.

It would also be much easier to manage, since the current earth stats would be in place, and for player creations we could get a good feel on how many each country could produce instead of a complex stats table.
It would of cource be in a psuedo earth so you could name your countries anything you want and could even take three nations at once (exluding Canada, U.S., and China.
