Raviel -VS- Halhi 141
So, what category would you like?

Suggestions:

Make the equivalent of a modern city block, but in the past or future.
Castle
Wild west
Micro version of a set
Robinson Crusoe

And who wants to judge?

Hmm... maybe castle or wild west?

I've got other suggestions that you might want to choose from -

Forced Perspective
Halloween MOCs
Apocamoc
Landscape
Figbarf
Mosaics
Steampunk

Hmm... I'd say Wild West, I haven't really heard of several of those themes, and I don't have enough pieces to do the others. Halloween sounds good, but I lack the needed pieces...

When I thought of this category, I had no idea how hard it would be...
You're smart, going for a smaller entry. Maybe I should have done that...

Ok, I have one thing to say, we need a new icon for the group. I want one shot from the winning Moc of this Moc off to be our new icon. The winner will be able to choose which shot. So kkep in mind that if you have one shot that you want for the group icon, include it in your entry.

Alright.
Good choice of a MOC off to use for the group icon. Not sure about Rav, but I'm making a duel, which seems quite appropriate for the group picture :3

How's your entry coming?
I just realized that making both buildings tan and brown looked strange, so I will have to change one to grey and brown.
This category is way harder than I anticipated. Luckily I have a giant supply of 1x2 and 1x4 brown wood bricks :D

I understand. But really, you don't have to worry, Rav's MOC was excellent, and I would completely understand if it got a higher score. My judging thoughts are more based on color coordination (especially landscaping), a clean build, detail, and a creative idea, not on personal opinion...

Really sorry, but I cannot judge. I think that if I judge, and someone gets a low score, it may effect my score. (Or likewise the same to them) I know you guys wouldn't do that on purpose, but I think that deep within you can get disgruntled about losing. (Really sorry guys)

Relax! I can judge fairly for the MOC (or, any MOC in a MOC Off in general; even if you or anyone else gave me a bad score), it's just how much we liked the MOC or not (thus being it our opinions). If Halhi won the MOC Off, I'll just congratulate him for beating me so. It's called good sportsmanship. ;)

Short summary, I can accept any score anybody can give me; and it wouldn't affect their score if I judged. I wouldn't hold a grudge on a little MOC Off. ;)

Final scores from me: Raviel had 16/20 and Hali had 17.5/20. I used the moc-off scoring guide posted in rules and explanations were given in my comment on their Moc. Good work guys! As you can see it was really close but Halhi just did a little better.

I think you need three judges to vote so I will.
Halhis final score from me was 16.5/20
I gave explanations for my scores in the moc. :)
Rav's final score from me was 18.5/20
For all future contestants, I would like to let you all know that as a judge, I am looking for quality pics. Try and make sure your pics are focused, and not over exposed. I usually do NOT use the flash, unless it's for a bright bright picture. Just get your lamp in there, and take the pic, or else you won't know what you just took a picture of.

I think he made a mistake on techniques? (out of 10 instead of 5)

I guess amount of votes can be a tiebreaker, though I agree, I thought it was to determine the winner as well.

So is it by amount of votes or total score? If it were votes, I win; if it were total score, Rav wins (by half a point)

Personally, I think votes.

If it's points, pretty much whoever the last judge votes for wins.
But that's just my thoughts :)

Oh man, I'm so sorry guys, I just realized that the wifi got disconnected on my laptop when was trying to post the scores, I can't post full details now but Raviel got my vote with a score of 17.5/20. Halhi had 17/20. Once again I'm really sorry about making you guys wait for that. I'm pretty busy with school so for now I appoint Raviel as the person who runs this group for a while until probably sometime mid-January.
