Umm, I was wondering, could I enter a silent movie that I made with a trial of a movie program? I just got a new camera and I am still deciding on a stop-motion program to buy. Let me Know! God Bless ~ Pendolium

A silent film? Certainly! All our animations were edited with Windows Movie Maker. It's the most basic program, but it suits the purpose.

Hey, thanks. I was wondering,if it isn't too much trouble, could you give me a quick walk-through on how to use windows movie maker? I tried to figure it out but I just end up getting frustrated. D: Thanks, God Bless ~ Pendolium

Thanks anyways, but I already know how to make a brickfilm. I just don't know how to add sound to it. If you know of any tutorials, that would be great. Thanks, yet again! God Bless ~ Pendolium

Okay, I see. Let me see if I can give a general walk-through. I will explain how to add sound to your brickfilm by using the Windows Movie Maker program. Other programs might be different. If you want to add music, click on "add music". You should already save your music as a MP3 file to your computer in advance. Once you have added the music, you can go to "music tools" and make adjustments such as the start and end point or the volume. I find the "music fade" very useful.

If you want to add sound effects, it is basically the same thing, except that you would click on "add music on current point". You can move the sound effect by dragging it to your desired point. Everything else should be the same. If you would like free sound effects, I find findsounds.com to be VERY helpful.

Hope this helps,

Have you saved your video to your computer as a video file yet? Once you have, you need to upload it to a site like Youtube or Flickr that supports video uploading. With Youtube, click on "upload" at the top right hand corner, then select the file that is saved on your computer. Once it is finished uploading, you can then add your video to your MOCpage. If you need help with that, just ask! Hope I'm clear.

Hmm, I'm sure it's very simple, but I can't get it to work! I uploaded it to youtube, but I don't know what I'm supoesd to do now... Maybe a step by ste right after the uploading it to youtube part? Sorry it took me so long to respond, the computer wouldn't let me go on Moc pages. God Bless ~ Pendolium

That's okay. To put it on your page, you need to click on "share" directly underneath the video on Youtube, then copy and paste the HTML on your page. Yeah, I know, MOCpages crashed.

Huh! I can't find the old HTML either. You know what? Go ahead and make an MOC and add a link to it. You can enter it as an entry that way for now until you figure it out. One entry per person please.

I appreciate your precaution. As long as it isn't to graphic with blood and gore. Yours is fine.

Is it permitted to film an entry now, and then add it whenever the contest starts?

Sorry, you would have to make another when it starts. For this contest, I made sure that all the entries were filmed after the contest started.

Since you guys mentioned it, I could start a conversation in the Animator's Club to start brainstorming for ideas. I most likely won't start the next contest right away, but at least we can get more ideas on the details.
