This conversation topic is targeted towards the builders of primarily wooden ships. There is a great deal of challenge to these ships i terms of curves, rope and long thingys like masts that stick out in the most challenging places.

This means that whilst still keeping it as simple as possible, you can presume that the builders seeking this knowledge has some understanding of designing in lego.
