I can't wait to add a creation to this. I'll see if I can't create something worthy this weekend. Thanks for the invite, Dave!

Its a little bit sad that the "likes" rating system doesnt appear to work at the moment.
But keep posting and welcome to the group!

Ok, so we just add bionicles that relate creatures of Fantasy.

Thats correct...as long as they arent intended to be technological, bionicle fantasy creatures will definitely be accepted in this group.

The MOC off gauntlet has been thrown down. I'm excited to see what Deus is cooking up. In general I've been quite impressed with the variety of creatures in this group. As cool as dragons are, the majority of creatures in here are not draconic and I'm excited by that. I hope to add something besides a dragon here in the near future.

Whenever someone tries to do a fantasy creature, it seems like dragons are the perfect benchmark to start with. Most people know what a dragon could look like even though they may look very different in the end. But the variety of creatures are what makes fantasy one of the most interesting categories.

All this work with dragons has been igniting plans for a dinosaur project. It would be a massive multi-level project of epic proportions, so it may not be realized very soon, though. Would something in the fantasy genre with dinosaurs be welcome in this group?

With the discovery of dinosaur fossils it has been argued that the true dragons actually were dinosaurs. Many of the modern dragon myths seems to have derived from this belief. Im not sure what to think about it because most of the dinosaurs had gone extinct at the time of the human species arrival. Dinosaurs are very real, and winged dinosaurs could very well be what we would call dragons. Its a tough call.

Well, I'm considering making something in the Dinotopia universe, so that is fantasy, it just involves dinosaur species that actually did exist. They just tend to be more sapient than the actual dinosaurs.

Thank you sir! I've been playing with a wing design. I wanted to make one that is fully articulate, but that is super tricky since bird feathers can flex a lot in their sockets. That is really hard to simulate in LEGO and even more annoying to do in LDD with so many moving parts. So, I think I will go your route and make a wing that is beautiful if not fully functional.

Thank you for the Invite! Apologies for the delay - there were a number of things in my inbox I've neglected trying to get Story up for Val.
I am concerned that my MOCs (while in my mind, all have fantasy-elements: Somniferria is a 'Science-so-far-ahead-it's-near-Sorcery'-type World), but there are DEFINITELY Sci-Fi roots in all of them. I don't feel yet that I should Add any of my existing MOCs unless you feel they are... Compatible... with the theme of your Group. Just let me know here, or on one of my Comm threads, at your convenience, Dave. THANK YOU! =)
-P.S.: perhaps my Terrestrials? Being more Animal than Man?... anyway, just let me know. Cheers!

Ive actually considered some of your creations for a couple of days. And those are the ones Ive commented on so far, Seismovore and Umbravore. But in my perspective it doesnt matter that your creations have sci-fi roots as they also have some sort of fantasy element. As long as a creature design derives from your imagination and maybe even grows into your own mythos, they are highly compatible with this group, regardless of how technological or biological they are. As I expand this group Im inviting more and more of different creature designers, because with fantasy there shall not be any limitations except what your own imagination brings.

The rules under "add your own" are very flexible as you know may understand! Welcome to C.O.F

Understood, and thanks. I think I'll limit my Additions to Terrestrials, then, seeing as their design is more Alien Animal. Thanks again for the Welcome! :D

Hi there, thanks for the invite! I was wondering if creatures from video games were acceptable, as I have something I am going to add soon. people who have played Half-Life 2 Episode 2 and completed the Guardian run will know what I am talking about.

Also, it can be brickbuilt can't it, not just bionicle? Because that would throw everything back in my face!

The rule "bionicle accepted" refers to the fact that some traditional builders dont see bionicle as a part of Lego. However, I want to bring forward bionicle creatures. They are as much lego as anything else released by the TLC.

The brickbuilt creatures remains the most usual type in this group. So go right ahead my friend!
