There are a lot of possible ways to make 'different' elements, anything from sulphur to pineapple to bone.

Or we could do something like the Iron Builder competition, where there is one part that you must use in the most creative way possible. In this case there would probably need to be a few different piece choices, considering many people would not likely have a certain part.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We will use the results of this brainstorming list to VOTE on our first ever "Challenge Build". In other words, I will post a list of ideas generated here, and everyone can vote for their top 5. I want everybody to vote by email (in order to get the hang of it) and I will post the winning idea on the 1st of May when we start the first contest. SO, you have a week to add ideas to this list (21st), another week to vote (28th) and we'll get this whole thing going on the first. Cheers!!

How about "useless" parts? Every MOC would use at least one difficult-to-use part. There would have to be a topic to have the judges OK each part. I'm thinking less Piraka Body and more Galidor/Duplo/large system bits. Or parts with very few connection points. There would probably be a genral theme- "Titan" or "hero", for example- as well, to make comparing enties easier.

How about making "rainbow MOCs"? Usually, this term is applied to little kids MOCs where they slap together every lego color under the sun. But instead of scoffing at the idea, what if we embraced Multicolored MOCs in the extreme to see who could use the most colors while still creating a cohesive look. We could set the minimum at 10 colors.

Another idea would be to do a True Fusion challenge where we require the builder to choose the same number each (for instance 15 or 20) of Bionicle, System, Technic, and HF parts to see who could make the most cohesive looking Bio-MOC.

Also thought of making Chefs. Still Brainstorming
