Looking back, what Bionicle or HF were you the most excited about getting? Choose one if you can! If not, choose just a select few.

Looking back, what Bionicle or HF were you the most excited about getting? Choose one if you can! If not, choose just a select few.

For Bionicle it was probably my rather contained excitement when I stumbled across the Kardas Dragon set on a shelf, slashed price due to being old stock (might have been about 8-12 months into the new line). The added fact that is was a huge combination set (Brutaka, Axonn, Vezon and Fenrakk) made it all the more satisfying.

HF doesn't seem to surprise me much, though with a handful of new parts coming in, it makes for some interesting designs. I suppose the one I was hopeful for was Witch Doctor. Wasn't a particularly interesting build, but because I didn't get Von Nebula, I can say I got at least one Boss Villain. As interesting as Black Phantom is in regards to parts, I don't think I'll get him, and just obtain the more interesting parts through smaller sets.

Fav bionicle is definitely Brutaka, when I got him and later used him for parts, I've never seen so much gold in my life, plus the Olmak is an epic mask that can be used for multiple things (once I flipped it (face up) and used it as Vavorkx's helmet when he was red gold and silver and grey, it looked boss, but then the axel rod in it broke, and I got really sad about that now it just sits in a drawer collecting dust :(. )

HF, easy, Witch Doctor hands down was the most useful HF to be released, with the tons of ball joints and armor pieces and axel rods I was a very happy Mocer.

My favorite Bionicle set would have to be the 2008 titan version of Takanuva. He was great to build, and looked great on my shelf-- until I destroyed him for his pieces.

Hero Factory? Well Witch Doctor was pretty cool. The build was just ok but the size of him when he was done!!! And he came with some pretty cool pieces.

when it comes to bionicle, i would have to say the tarakava. i remember finding them on bricklink for around 50 bucks! besides nostalgia factor, if it wasnt for them, i wouldnt have my self moc as of today.

HF is kind of a hard one, probably which doctor, because he was and still is (for now) the biggest villan of the whole series! but black phantom is a close second

For Bionicle, probably Axonn.

And for HF, definitely Witch Doctor. They haven't even made a set close to him yet. His build wasn't much but he was a gold mine for pieces.

I would have to say Maxilos and Spinax I actually never thought I would get it cuase I was like 8 at the time surprisingly I got all the 2007 sets :D I really dont want to get into detail about how I got him... :L

And for HF hmm.. I would have to say that I have been very exited for all of them so I would have to say that from the experience of getting Witch Doctor because my Witch Doctor was more than a normal Witch doctor because I got him in the UK but more than that I GOT HIM AT LEGOLAND so yeah...

Thats it

The one that I was most excited about getting was when I got Tahu mata from eBay, he was my favorite hero! but kardas was the best piece-wise.

I was really exited when I got Hydraxon, I liked the build, but the main reason was probably because I earned the money to buy him. He was the first titan I got with my own money, so I suppose I felt like I accomplished something.
Hero factory wise.... I only have a couple and their all pretty basic sets.

Well it hard to tell i got a lot so i think a was most excited when i got all 6 of the Toa Mata and i most exited when i got Lewa at that age i was i only like it cuz he was green

Now hero factory i think it was Stringer 3.0 cuz he more better then the other like i did not like rocka 3.0 cuz i don't know the to use with his gold but rocka him self is great same with Stringer

i've got to say Stringer 1.0. The 1.0 heroes were the first non-system sets that I got, so I really like them. Stringer is a BOSS!

Undoubtedly, Onua mata, my first bionicle, for HF probably stormer 3.0, I love the helmet :3
Although, if you were to expand this to any technic figure I have owned, it'd be Scuba the sub-slizer, the first figure I built, back when I was 'bout 4/5

This, exactly.
It's hard to say for Bionicle, though. I got two parts buckets when I was really young (like 5) which I didn't appreciate so much then, but now I'm so grateful I have them- so many useful Bio and Technic parts! As for normal sets, it's sort of difficult to gauge, as my collection has absorbed my little brother's Bionicle parts and sets. There are actually quite a few sets that are hard to pick from... Takanuva and the Ussanui? Rockoh T3? Nocturn, Roodaka, Takanuva '08? I have no idea.

Interesting. I got the yellow Throwbot (same thing as Slizers), whose name I forget, when I was just getting into Lego, age 3 or 4.

ILLEGALLY?
Just kidding. :P

The big yellow one (blaster)? or the older, small one(Judge/Jet)? I know all their names:3
I eventually collected most of them, and all of the Robo-riders, most of which are still assembled.

Oh yeah, it was Blaster. :D
That's odd, he's the only one I have and the only one whose name I forget often. I wish I had more, they've got some great parts.

Yeah I remember when they sold the buckets, man I wish that lego still did that...

I have to say Brutaka. Lovely figure. The 2006 titans were probably the best in the whole Bionicle line (and the commercial was epic!). Brutaka was my birthday present back when I got him and after that getting Axonn didn't feel as exciting, as I already got one of the titans. It's the first you get of the new titan sets, that is most exciting ;P

Too bad I never got Kardas though =/ Although I had all the other titans, I couldn't find the Kardas instructions either. Childhood ruined on that part.

Definatly Kardas, as well as Brutaka, Nidhiki (great playability), and Maxilos had a great build. (All mentioned are still intact)!:D

For Bionicle, I would have to say Toa Lewa Mata. That was, and still is, my favorite set ever produced by Bionicle, and up until recently I had been chasing it at garage sales and thrift stores. Thank God for eBay lol.

Hero Factory... I don't really like Hero Factory much, but I guess I can say that my favorite set to get in terms of pieces would be Von Nebula. He had quite the assortment of parts I had been hoping to find.

That they undoubtedly did, I might dig out my old instruction manuals and rebuild the few That fell apart and post them as comparisons to my mocs, Could be an idea :3 (sorry for the late reply)

Takanuva and his speeder bike was my first big bionicle set. my first set was Tahu, and how could i ever forget about Axon. His design was brilliant, and I still use his leg design all the time.

as for Hero factory, I liked Witch Doctor the best(Von Nebula's set was sad in my opinion. They could have done better). I have still not found a way to incorporate his skull mask(s) into a moc yet...

Okay, now I'll have to change my answer. I picked up my all-time FAVORITE Toa EVER, Toa Mata Lewa at BW. He's awesome.

Oh my, there are SO many...
Let's just start with Hero Factory.
I do not own many HF sets, but I downright was amazed with Rotor. Orange parts (That's already awesome enough), black Brutaka blades, black Vorox plates etc. and a really ingenious design.

I loved Bitil for his yellow parts (I mean, yellow Rahkshi limbs... How awesome is that?), but I think I'll just pick the second BIONICLE set I ever got: 8621 Turaga Dume and Nivawk. I do not know how many HOURS I spent playing with the ingenious wing-spread mechanism, or putting Dume in or out his "baby carriage". Unfortunately, I lost Dume years ago, along with his AWESOME red and black Kiril. But I still got Nivawk, although he seems a bit empty without Dume in him...

For bionicle, its Pohatu Mata.

HF is the Black Phantom.

Wow, I loved every single set I got. Let's have the best for last. For HF, I really enjoyed Fangz, and Von Nebula. Von Nebula, had so may useful pieces, and Fangz just looked really nice, while he was being eaten by a real creature known as a rahi.
As for Bionicle, well I think my top three were, Ackar, Gresh, and Hydraxon. I loved Ackar for various reasons, (1) His sword was super simple, but it looked great. (2) The helmet is amazing. (3) I think Lego did a really good job infusing an old rustic, yet powerful kind of look. Gresh was a great set because he looked young, athletic, and awesome. His shields were great, and his mask is great. Hydraxon was the first titan I got, and man, that was a good choice. I remember when I was building him, I was having so much fun, when I realized, I was missing one of those pieces that connected his leg to his body. I frantically searched through the trash, and when I found it, I was even more happy. And that just made it even more special.
