CHALLENGE BUILD #7- "Ultimate Flexibility!" BCBS Nov. 2012
Join to comment
 Group admin
Marko has bestowed the November Challenge Build and it is:
"Flexibility! Basically, participants need to make a MOC that is as flexible as possible. Also, for some extra challenge, there can't be any classic (ball joint - socket) connections."

You heard it here first folks! Make a MOC and make it super flexible without using those nasty ball and socket joints! Start rockin' the MOCin'!

Too true. I'll get on it. I have been busy inventing a new toy for a Toy and Game convention contest in Chicago later this month. http://www.younginventorchallenge.com/ if you want to look it up. Also experimenting with sculpting my own Bionicle mask designs. Uh-oh, it that your purist alarm I hear ringing?? Well, it's crazy fun to do and so far the results are awesome! BTW, best of luck with November's challenge, y'all!

I'm using Super Sculpey polymer clay. You form it, bake it, sand or carve it, prime it and paint it and voila! Just getting into it but, wow, the sky's the limit. Oh, and thanks! :D

Pretty much, you can use either, just not connected together. So I could use balljoints for eyes as long as they were not in sockets, or I could use sockets for... anything else, as long as they weren't connected via balljoints. This includes HF armor and the like, too, I think.

I have designed the ultimate not-even-a-single-ball-socket-connection arm, with almost full movility (even arm cross if it works!).

But that's all. I have to develop the rest. Let's see if I have time. xD

That's what I mean- I only have masks from sets, not the old mask packs (though I intend to trade/buy some soon). The light blue Pakari came from Takua back in '01.

Oh, yeah, Takua. Probably the most important Matoran ever and I always forgot him.

BTW, why he's the only set with that color mask? I mean, not even a single Toa of ice had it. And he was a Ta-Matoran!

By the time he was released, he was... But wait, what Ko-Matoran? I had everyone of them since Metru Nui, and from Mata Nui the ones I remember had some kind of blue-grey colour... Not light blue. Although they weren't many of them released here...

I had the exact same problem when I was making an account. They wouldn't let me just go with "Gale " no matter how many spaces I put in the second box. So, I used my last name too lol. I suppose you could always use the little ~ thing, but I doubt that would be satisfactory for you either lol.
