Greetings one and all. So far, I have only invited the best of the best builders. I would like to know from you lot first if you would be okay with this? I personally think it's a good idea, because I've lost count of the amount of times I've looked at a brilliant MOC by one of you and either wondered how it was done or just simply get annoyed because I know I'll never be that good. But if you are fine with the idea of this group, then people can ask you questions and be taught by "the best" that MOCpages has. If somebody needs help with an idea, they can ask and one of you can give suggestions.
So, what do you think?

No problems and I'm glad you like it.

Not exactly sure why I was tapped for this group. You wanted "the best" and if we're being honest, sure I can hold my own in the building department but I'm no where NEAR one of the best... Not even close my friend (though I'm flattered that you may think so).

As for the group, I think it's a wonderful idea! I've already got the Advice group open but this would be a great addition to the "help me" type groups that we have around here. It's always great to have more options!

Let's see how this starts to take off and who wants to be a part of it. I'm looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Ah okay then. I'm glad you like the idea anyway.

Same here! Thanks for the invite, but I certainly don't think I deserve a place among the "best" builders. That said, I'd be happy to offer what advice I can as to style or photography or composition. Just take it with a grain of salt. :-)

Thank you for the invitation, Blast, but I'm afraid my tight timetable doesn't allow me being a useful member in this group. Instead I can offer this: In case anybody wants help from me or ask a question, please write a comment on one of my creations. You don't have to 'like' it - I don't want to get more 'likes' this way - but this way I can answer questions that are especially directed to me.

Well, I'll ask one then. What method do you use to sort your LEGO?

Sorry for the delay in this. I sort my basic bricks by color and then my others by how I use them most. I have two large 4-drawer units. The first of these holds my light grey, dark grey, black and minifig bodies that aren't Star wars or castle. The other holds technic bricks, grey plates, and then yellow white and red in the others. I combine those as they contrast and I have little of the colors. I then keep my other plates in two huge tubs, one for plates 4x? and up and the other for plates 2x6 and up. Mainly I sort by piece type with a few different boxes for colors I use a lot. For example, most of my slopes are in one box but I have a box of black, one of light grey and one of dark grey as I use those for roofs and rocKs often. I essentially sort by keeping whatever I use the most separate and going from there. Sorry for the long-winded post.

No, the longer the better! Thanks for the insight, it goes to show that you don't need 5000 tiny drawers to store the pieces. I'll keep your techniques in mind when I finally reorganize.

If it helps, I have 8 of these: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-3-Drawer-Mini-Organizer-Set-of-6/10877957?findingMethod=rr which I love as well as clear plastic shoeboxes for the majority of my parts.

Looks useful, I have some similar ones storing clothes that I may have to clear out...

I have mine sorted by colour. Just as simple as that mostly. A different box for each colour I have. Apart from any 'specials' I have, things like technic pins and hinges and cheese slopes, that sort of thing. They're all in tiny little boxes together. And then I have all my minifigs and their accessories separate of course too.

Yeah, for the amount of bricks I have which is a decent but by now means massive amount and of course the space I have in my room to keep it all, I find it's the best way to do it! haha

OK, not that I'm complaining, but why am I here! Phippy and Yuri make sense at least, but me? Oh welll, not complaining.
