Club Nintendo

Hey everybody, it's been awhile since anyone has commented! Anyway, today I got an e-mail from Nintendo about my Club Nintendo Elite Status Reward, and since I reached Platinum Status, I got a Mario hat! It was tough, since the other reward was an exclusive Punch Out!! mode, where you fight Doc Louis. I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten an Elite Status, and which reward they're gonna chose. Post Club Nintendo-related stuff here!

I got Gold status, only because I forgot about it. I was going to register so much more to get the platinum. Oh, well, I'll get it next year for sure.

I also got the platinum status. 2008 was my first Club Nintendo year, so I got the Platinum Status by registering all of my games that I already had. I also chose the Mario Hat, just because I simply wanted to get an actual object, not a digital one. Like Game&Watch Collection (I recieved it), I has a great value as a collector's item (I'm a collector) so I also thought that it was a must-have.

Is Game & Watch collection any good? I have enough Coins for it, but I don't know if it's worth it, because all of the items are collector's items on Club Nintendo!

In Nintendo Power volume 242, someone asked what rating Game&Watch Collection would get, and here was their reply: "It would be impossible to score Game&Watch Collection on the same scale we use for the more robust, modern games, but I'd say the title is a must-have for dedicated Nintendo fans. It's a fantastic collector's item and a nostalgic reminder of pre-NES Nintendo gaming, and the simple-yet-addictive games still hook me from time to time. It's easily the jewel in Club Nintendo's Crown." I have to say that I agree with Nintendo Power, and I always have Game&Watch Collection in my DS (except when my brother is playing), and the three games, Donkey Kong, Greenhouse, and Oil Spill are great short games to play while waiting for something, like when I'm cooking ramen noodles on the stove. If you like simple, but addictive games, like Dr. Mario, then this game is perfect.

If that's not a recommendation, I don't know what is! I'll probably order it, but I'm gonna wait for my Mario Hat first, just to make sure Club Nintendo delivers to the right address (I would hate to spend 800 Coins on a reward only to have it mailed somewhere else). Thanks for giving me your input!
