Super Battleships - weighing over 65,000 and/or having armament of 16" or bigger guns.
Whats your take - Useful or Useless?

I personally think they wouldn't be useful because they would be VERY vulnerable to air-power - eg. Yamato & Musashi and also the planned Montana class - which were scrapped in favor of the Essex class.

I think not because in WW2 - where the concept of super battleships was becoming reality -
Air Power was really starting to take hold. And those large, bulky, slow moving ships would provide ideal targets for torpedo and dive bombers.
Granted that they would have had heck of a lot of AAA, but still.... - (you see my point?)
