Cleaning off the dust... grrrrr

I'm just wondering what everyone else does about the dust that tends to collect on the ships you've had around for a few years. That last ship of mine was a magnet for that crap, and it would take hours to get all the stuff off it for photos! A toothbrush and damp towels where what I ended up using... all those thousands of studs... at all the different heights, nooks and crannies... gaaaaa

Ok, I thought I posted here already. ANYWAYS, having really big lego projects often means they stay together for months, even years. How do you keep them clean?
The last time I cleaned the Dynonochus, it took hours with a toothbrush, small bits of paper towels and a damp cloth. The dust seems to stick to the plastic, so a vacuum didn't work.

I give them a shower... this way kill the dust ! But I haven't electric system in it so it is easyer...

I blow it off with a compressed air can. They're available at most office supply stores. It also help that I prefer to build things as studless as possible, although greeblies are still a problem.
