Basically, it is a well-run Bio-MOC tournament done in rounds until there is a single winner. It's like March Madness for MOCs! XD

The Bio-Cup is the biggest bionicle event of the year! In each of the rounds you will be given different themes and sub-themes to work with against you opponents! Read the rules for further information, or perhaps take a look at last year's Bio-Cup group. Anyone can join!

No, you may use them on your creation, but pictures of them WITHOUT it will be required so we can judge the build itself, so make them more of an ornament rather than something essential to your moc's design.

That is the place where you must put a link to your entry in a comment. Each round will have it's own entry thread.

Ok,let me show you an example.

This is the Mata-Nui special edition set: http://images.wikia.com/bionicle/images/f/f1/CGI_Toa_Mata_Nui_Titan.jpg

And this is my remake/reboot of it: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/176837

See?I completely remade it while still retaining it's main characteristics such as color scheme, weapon, size, and so forth.

So if we alter the weapons or colors slightly but it is still recognizable as the character then it's okay?

Well, I advise you not to drift away too much from the characters main characteristics. If it has a sword, give him a bigger one or a coler one, but not an axe. If the character is green, then make it green with a tone closer to the characters green. Just try and make it recognizable as that character.

What I'm wondering is, if the character had two weapons and my revamp has one same and one slightly different, how similar do you consider it to be if all is alike otherwise?

Generally no, but then again we wouldn't know when people build it to when they submit it anyway. For fairness it's best to just wait until the round starts, you can plan and design a few things you want to try to incorporate, but you cannot have a finished entry before the round starts.

Should be able to. MOCPages posting is designed so that you can just paste the link in. No HTML tags required.

Simple, take the link that you want (at top of page) click it once on your left pad or whatever, then it should become blue. After that, click the right tab of your pad and click "copy" and whereever you wanted it, click "paste". :)

Its is not over yet, an extension has been granted, so the elimiantories will end june 10. We'll begin giving scores after that. Probably won't last much more than a week before we all judge everything, count the results and prepare the matches for the actual first round.

So I just realized I probably shouldn't have entered because I'll be on vacation all of July and I'm guessing the rounds won't be spaced conveniently enough for me to enter a round before and another after.
So should I just delete my entry from the entry thread?

Let me just say that your mocs are NOT going to be judged on how popular they are, and that is to say that the numbers of likes or comments any of them may have will not interfere at all in our final scores. You should bear that in mind.

Yo judges, just a quick question or two about the scoring system:
1. So are the two scores presented supposedly our average scores? I always thought the average was only one number, so why are there two scores? Just curious ;)
2. Uhh, I really can't think of a second question. I just really want to know the answer to #1 :P

If you could get back to me on that, it'd be much appreciated!

There is just one score for everyone and that is the average score garnered from five judges. example: 9,8 should read 9.8 or 98 percent which means that 4 out of five judges gave 10 while one judge gave a 9 for a total score of 49. divided by five its 9.8. Hope everything is clear.

It's supposed to be one number. The commas are decimals, so instead of 9,8 it would be 9.8

If you have entered the previous Biocup, you will know that the next round is for the top 48 of the elimination.

As of the moment since there seem to be several ties for the last two slots, the judges have taken a second vote between the ties in order to select the last two. However, in the event that anyone among the top 48 signifies not to continue, we will get the those who did not make the tie breaker as reserve only for the next round.

So what is the score to get to the next round? If your impatient, you can count your ranking. hehe.

Well in theory the winner ends up as a judge the following year, so that would be redundant.
