This is my very first time! I have been really upping my game for this (custom torsos, new weapon design, and female mocs :O). I'm psyched!

Newbies (people new to MOCpages but probably aren't any people),a little advice from someone who has participated in the Bio Cup

-Make sure your photos aren't bad.

-You have, like two weeks to post your entry,MAKE the most of it!

-Don't go too simple,it'll score low.

-Proper spelling and grammar would help. :p

-Pictures,show off everthing on the MOC.

-Don't use often colors on MOCs that are from others too, doesn't make it unique (well, not for this round, but it's likely that there'll be a catergory for you to make a MOC with color xD)

-Make sure to post a little earlier than the deadline. Alot of things get in the way when you post last minute.

-Don't think to yourself that the MOC is good enough. Make it even better! That's improving as a MOCist!

-Bios about the BIONICLE would be great! You never know, they could bump up your score. ;)

-Everyone loves a good twist, right? From last year's Bio Cup,the elimatories round and Baron Von Ben beheld the power by making a weapon. So it'll be really cool for judges to see that kind of stuff, and score better.

-Post after your opponent has,it'll give you a chance to look at their entry AND make yours better.

That's all I can think of,for now.

Ok, I am new. I need help with choosing a Bionicle to remake.

It sounds simpler than it is. ;)

Choose a BIONICLE from the theme, remake it and done!

If there's anything in particular that you need help with,I'll be glad to.

For all of you still in doubt as to what you must build, let me show you an example.

This is the Mata-Nui special edition set: http://images.wikia.com/bionicle/images/f/f1/CGI_Toa_Mata_Nui_Titan.jpg

And this is my remake/reboot of it: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/176837

See?I completely remade it while still retaining it's main characteristics such as color scheme, weapon, size, and so forth.

You're welcome comrade!

Please read the rules and the eliminatories topic. If you still have any doubts, ask them in the "eliminatories" or "questions" topic. For further guidance, refer to the "a word of advice" topic.

Do we have to participate, or can we stay in the group so we get the new creations on our homepage? I'm going to try either way, I was just wondering.

Who chooses your opponent?

This is the eliminatories so it's every man for himself. In following rounds we'll get matchups.

I was around when the last Bio-Cup was on it was quite the contest I didn't participate mainly because then I was not good enough I'm up for it now and I also have $100 to use on Bricklink! If people can actually appreciate my entry for its design and not it's size I will make it to the next round!

Well, there's already a lot of good advice given, but all I can say is be original. Have your own style. Creating something unique in your own image is a favorable attribute for every builder. Copying designs on the other hand is not. Experiment. Idealize. Each of us have a unique imagination and we are meant to use it.

Unfortunately, yes. But there's always next year!
I made the same error on last year's Bio-Cup. >.<

This is my 2nd Bio-Cup, and boy, I have improved VASTLY since last year. I made it to Round 3 when the Image Crash of 2011 happened, the round was postponed for almost a month. I didn't have Flickr then, so I had to post my pics using a free image sharing website, it was horrible! I got beat with a 4-1 vote by Adam Toh (who is unfortunately no longer active I think). It was fun, and I hope I can do great this year.

Yeah, you did. But you made it this year, and most likely have a great shot at winning. Did last year's winner (Shadowgear) even post anything for this year?

Good advice. Be true to your vision and push your skills a little further every time.
