So, while things are still warm, I use the moment to make here this feedback topic. So what are your comments about this year's Bio-Cup? What did you lke? What did you not like? Suggestions for next year? Feel free to post it all here! Permalink
I liked everything but the category for the final round, it's the builders opinon on what's their best build that counts and the amount of people that got free rides to the next round because people dropped out but that's not really your guys fault. Permalink

Agree. For example, no offense, I consider Gringat's last entry the worst amount all of his entries (I'm not saying it's bad, please don't get confused). However I don't think that you guys do something bad, although I may disagree some of your decisions, it's because my opinion, and not due to a bad work from you. I should say I consider that this was a ver impressive tournament: epic entries, a great variety of categories... I hope you'll do better next time: I can't wait how you will manage to do it! Overall, this was the best contest I've been in this year(PBC was great too), I had a great time while I was in. I do think some of the categories were a little bland, the Motorcycle gang category is a bit insensitive to those with few wheels, the monochrome category was a bit iffy and pretty much narrows your choices to mata red and black if you're going all out monochrome like the category suggests you do, and this final round category was good, but I felt it could've been slightly more restrictive so as to give you guys some basis that you could judge on, one that isn't so much based on the opinion of "Is it your best moc?" Still, you guys have done an amazing job, and I wish luck to all three of the finalists. :) Permalink
Well, in total it was a pretty nice competition, despite the final round having a bit too vague category.
However I found many of the categories...repetitive. I sort of understand the advancement in difficulty by going toa-rahi-vehicle-titan-omg steps, but in a sense there's no fun going through that over and over. I would love to see a bit more unique categories, perhaps taken from popular builds, like black fantasy, topsy-turvy, bio-racers and all that stuff, without being too much in the demands of a typical bionicle being, like a toa or a titan, depending on the case of course. Something more out of bounds of typical bionicle. (Rahi don't really count as 'typical')
It's sort of hard to express what I'm saying, but I hope you get the catch. Permalink
Ha, looks like we'll see some new judges next year! Looks like Kai, Yuri, and possibly Chris might need some replacements. Really looking forward to it, waiting for next year will be pretty hard! :) Permalink
This year's cup was managed to the best of our abilities, a few times we were conflicted between experimental and untested themes versus tried and true ones. Turned out alright.
I'd like to get back into the competitive building again and join in the fun for next year. Should let some of the (relatively) new mods have a go at managing a contest that could go for months on end, Mwahahahaaha!!!! Permalink
