I've deliberately only added a few constrained building experiments at this point, as I'd love to see other people add their own. I wanted to get the ball rolling and give people the idea of what a constrained building experiment might be.

"The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees oneself of the chains that shackle the spirit... the arbitrariness of the constraint only serves to obtain precision of execution."
Igor Stravinsky

Hi David hope you are well. Thanks for the invite, this group sounds fascinating and I would like to build something asap. I am going away next week but will build something when I get back. I think I somehow joined twice!!?? Thatís why it says 3 members Ė a bit odd.

Thanks for being the first to jump on board; I think the idea is fun and could create some outside the box thinking. I'll probably make a small experiment this evening to get things moving. Mocpages is full of odd glitches, that's why people love it!

Hi you two, Thanks for approving me.

I will start building something along those lines day after tomorrow - as tomorrow and today i have to do my holiday homework (atleast some of it)

this is all quite confusing, but I'll try it (maybe).

It's actually very simple. Set yourself any constraint you like, or pick one from the list. I was inspired by groups like the 50 piece contest, which would be a very simple constraint exercise.

Its open for you to build in any category and to create as many mocs as you like; the only criteria is that you state what constraints you imposed on your build. Feel free to use my first few suggestions; but if they don't work invent new ones.

Thanks for the invite, David. This is an interesting concept. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with this theme, but once I finish the micro that I'm building now, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the invite! This looks like it will really help when I can't think of anything to build.
I'm really digging the half and half idea.

I'm waiting on that micro-build. I'm expecting something special when it arrives -can't wait to see it.

Great idea, and glad to have been invited. I look forward to building under constraint. Very very interesting. Ive only built what I imagined and legos themselves being the constraint. You've got my creative juices flowing.

Thanks for the invitation! I have many things to work on for the time being, but I'll certainly check out some of the threads here if I'm ever stuck for ideas or have some spare time. It certainly seems like a promising concept!

Golly, I feel so pressured;) Hopefully I will have it posted within the next few days.

Thanks for the invite, this sounds really interesting! I haven't had a lot of building time recently due to work commitments, hope that changes soon :)
