2WC 7: Macro Scale Castle
Join to comment
 Group admin
Welcome to the Seventh Two Week Challenge! The theme this time is "Macro Scale Castle." This is a combination of two themes from our idea section: Macro Scale and Castle. For those who don't know, Macro Scale is basically anything larger than minifigure scale, so you can use Miniland Scale, Bionicle Scale, etc. Anything's fine as long as it's bigger than a minifigure! Some sort of macro scale figures must be included. Note that you do not have to make a full castle, it just must be castle-themed.

Rules and Restrictions:

-New Creations Only.
-Only one entry Per Person.
-Your entry must only be for this contest, no using it for another contest.
-For ease of judging, in this conversation topic, please post a link to your entry. No links needed on the entry itself, just a link to your entry.
-Your entry must be done by the end of Friday, April 26th, 2013 MOCpages Time.
-The build must be Castle themed.
-The build must be built in larger than minifigure scale.
-The build must contain at least one macro scale figure.
-No size restrictions, as long as it follows all of the rules.
-No specific title is necessary.
-You do NOT have to have participated in any of the previous contests to enter in this one.

Judging:

Total Points: 30

Originality: 5
Is the scene unique? Pretty straightforward.

Build: 10
Are there interesting techniques? Does the build look good? Is it detailed enough without being too "busy"?

Figures: 5
Are the figures brick-built? What scale did you use? Do the figures look good? Are they poseable?

Presentation: 5
Clear photos, being easy to follow, having some explanation, etc. will help here.

Personal Opinion: 5

If you have any questions, first read through the post again to make sure it isn't answered. Have fun!

Why can't you?

I don't have enough bricks to build a macro-castle.
I'm sorry I can't compete! It sounds fun though!

It doesn't have to be a full castle, just castle themed. So you can do a joust scene, a dining hall, a dragon battle, etc.

I thought the same thing at first, but then I realised that it probably just needed to be castle themed. I have an idea for one, but I probably should be focussing on school since finals are soon. I probably won't but I should try and keep destractions low.

Lego doesn't really produce macro scale figures, you build them yourself. See here: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/355567 for an example of one.

I think I'll enter this one. I have never made anything in macro scale.

No, it should be in some sort of scene.

I really would have participated, but I was not into building anything Yesturday, even if it was my only time. I just finished my spring semester and I was out of it. I even had a great idea; I just have to get around to building it.

So, do I get to pick the next contest or will one of the admins?

SPEECH! SPEECH!

Thank you for granting me the floor. I would like to say that this was a very fun contest and I would have loved to see what other people could have produced. A big thanks to the judges for running this contest. If I am deciding the next two- week challenge I will go with WIP.
